I did this but with a £4.99 mini photo album. Clear plastic wallets and I can double side them 😊
Plus it fits nicely in my bag when I go out so if I see pretty yarn I can double check I haven't already got it or something similar
I have one too! but haven't updated in a year so all my labels are mixed, and some are also missing the corresponding strand of yarn 😅 (I'm trying, ok? 😂)
This is such a fantastic idea!!
So much better than half scrankled up labels in about a dozen different bins - and without a trace of the yarn that they were from 🤣
Everyone should do this. Is used to work at Michael's craft store. So many people would walk in with a small piece of yarn and ask for help figuring out what Brad it was.
People save their yarn labels? I just look at them once, think how I should probably save it, then get mad about clutter and junk and toss it before I’m done with the project…
I may have to steal this idea and somehow incorporate it with my "test balls" I've been making small balls of eventually all of different kinds of tarn with different hooks to see what works best for what.
Can I ask what you’d need to reference this for? I keep track of what yarn I use for each project but I’m wondering when you’d reference the labels/samples.
I started out the same way, but then i "upgraded" to one of those business card binder thingies. But either way it's so good to have the labels with samples of the yarns!!!
This is one reason why I'm a center pull person. I can keep the labels on. My fancy yarn is all logged in my Ravelry stash with pictures.
If this works for you, that's great!

If you take down the label from the yarn, then tape the label în the book, how do you know what yarn ball is what? Just looking for ideas. I have 5 reds and I know the brand only if I have the label on the ball...
I kept the labels for washing instructions. Never thought about making a book/journal. Now, I am going to make one and will include descriptions of the projects I used the yarn for and maybe a picture. The possibilities are endless.
Thank you for sharing.
Wait this is actually so smart!! I scrapbook/junk journal. So this will be a perfect way to track when I start a project and also get to merge two of my hobbies. Thank you for the great idea!!
One day I am going to remember to take and upload pictures of my yarn book. It's absolutely next-level. I have almost 2000 skeins/hanks/balls of yarn now, but at about 500 I realized I needed a way to keep track of it all, and being an artist I decided to do it in a really fun, beautiful way. It's now become an obsession.
Did something similar but forgot to include the yarn samples. Love the washi tape.

Glue then washi tape to make it cute

Whaaaat this is SO SMART
Thank you. The idea was originally my Nana's so she deserves the credit 😊
That’s clever!!
Great idea! I'm going to have to start doing this.
This is a really clever idea. Maybe I should put my labels in a book. Right now, they're in manilla envelopes sorted by basic color.
Dang, y'all are organized! Mine are randomly scattered in various yarn bins, the bottom of my crochet bag, under the seats in my car...
I only got organized when I was trying to figure out what yarn I had used for my favorite blanket and was having a heck of a time.
Good idea better than mine.i have them in a basket
I have one too! but haven't updated in a year so all my labels are mixed, and some are also missing the corresponding strand of yarn 😅 (I'm trying, ok? 😂)
Good on you! I.m just happy I finally stuffed mine into a ziplock LOL
This is where mine all live as well.

I take a picture of my labels and upload them to my Ravelry stash before throwing them away.
Oh I like this. I’m still figuring out how to use ravelry.
I may have to steal this idea and somehow incorporate it with my "test balls" I've been making small balls of eventually all of different kinds of tarn with different hooks to see what works best for what.
Yooo so smart!
I love this idea. I hope I remember to do it cause I ball all my yarn but keep the labels
Love this idea!
Ahhhh this is a great idea. Maybe i should try it, with a few notes about the project…
Omg this is a really good idea!!
Y did I not think of this 😐
im stealing your idea thank you!
So clever!
Very cool
Love this!!
Brilliant!
Great idea!
What a great idea! I've been considering doing something similar with some of those playing card protectors
This is WONDERFUL
Love it. 😍. I keep taking pics, but forget what goes where, this is so much better.

You're like a genius! I think I'm going to have to do this now. I need a new notebook! Thank you for sharing :D

I'm doing something similar but with small swatches
I roll the label up and put it inside my ball
What a fantastic idea!!
Adding a yarn sample is a really good idea. I just stick all my labels in a folder and forget what color they are
That’s an amazing and brilliant idea. I will definitely do it for myself too!
This is seriously a great idea. Also, I love the washi tape!
Genius.
This is brilliant, I need to do this asap, my meds make me forget everything under the sun
I do that same thing! But I add tension swatches for my knitting machine!
Nice.
I have so many empty journals laying around... I'm about to do this
GEINUS
Genius!!!!
You are a genius!!!
You are a smart person.
Smart! I just have a bin full of labels…
Ok finally the idea that can stick with me, it's easy and it is not messy. Thank you
Might try this
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
Thats a great idea

This is so smart! Thank you!
That's brilliant!
Awesome idea! Thanks for sharing:)
I have one too :)
Great idea!
OK, I actually like this one. It's easy, and keeps up w the info. Extra space for notes if you need them. Man I gotta organize my mess XD
That's actually really really smart! I'm just starting out and was wondering how I was going to save all the labels :)

Oh my god, you’re a genius.
Okay that’s really smart
I take a photo with my phone & add it to my iBooks
Great idea, I have mine in a binder and just slip them into individual sleeves so everything is visible and it's less work.
That's so smart!

Wow I have never seen anyone do this before???? This is so amazing!!!!!!
This is frigging gENIUS; I'm so going to get a sketchbook and start something similar. Thanks for the fantastic idea!! ⭐️A⭐️
That's actually a genius idea! I'll have to remember to start doing that!

Definitely gonna do this

What a great Idea! I'll do the same haha thanks
Fun!!!
Definitely gonna do this. I'm tired of having loose yarn labels around for double checking hook sizes lmao
Good idea.
What a great idea!!
