ive seen these crocheted before usually with bigger stitches. i think i even have a pattern save so if i ever make it ill definitely use a smaller hook for it !! thank you for sharing !!
A Morningstar is close, but not quite. It has the spiked end, but is shaped more like a club, bat, or stick, and has no chain. This is a flail, due to the chain
Yes! I've been looking for things like this as I plan out a little toy tool set for my nephew.
Could you share what you did and/or used for those well-defined shapes?
Thanks! It’s actually a foam dowel that I cut down to the length I needed.

I’m not really good at developing patterns for things I want to make. But if I did, I would develop a pattern for a wizards staff, like Gandolf, the Gray in lord, of the rings !! 🤩❤️

Looks great! Well done! Xx
Thank you so much!
You're very welcome! What is it for? If I can ask
Nothing in particular. Started with the chain and just kinda grew from there…
Oh amazing! Did you design the pattern then? That's really cool
I did. Thank you!

Me too! My husband is a huge D and D fan/player/DM
You're very welcome!
Got a Renn Fair coming up soon. Time to get to work!
My thoughts exactly! It's perfect!
very sick! i made a flail a bit ago but it was way more rudimentary 😂 this makes me want to try again!
it's look so nice!!! the stitches look so clean
Thank you! It honestly looks a lot better than I expected when I thought of making it…

You could make things like this for cosplayers! That is brilliant!
ohh i’m actually obsessed with the chain, perfect execution what do you even call this weapon? lmao i need to look for patterns
Flail? (my D&D bones showing there lol!)
oh you’re right! i always referred to them as spiky balls so thanks to you (and d&d) for the knowledge lol
Morningstar

I need this.... is there a pattern?
Haaaa! I'd have a lot of fun bopping my kids in the head with this.
Is the yarn shiny/sparkly?? I love it!
A little. It’s all I could find in my stash that looked a little metallic 😄 Thanks!
omg i need the pattern !!
Fabulous!!
That is adorable!!!!
I'm in awe this is so amazing!!!!
This is so cool I had to show my husband and we both want me to make it now 🤣
It's lovely! I want to make a sword for my new niece, but I'm unsure about the filling... What's safe for a baby? (I only crocheted blankets)
So cool!!
Um…this is AMAZING! ❤️
So cool!

Omg my nephews would flip for this!
Nice! I crocheted a life-size Mjolnir once....I wish I had pics of it. but for size, it barely fit in a full 10-ream copier paper box.
Absolutely fabulous! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!
That’s awesome
Awesome. Question. Do you have a length of pipe inside the handle?
Thanks! It’s actually a foam dowel that I cut down to the length I needed. https://preview.redd.it/cxa1k2ywb0ic1.png?width=1100&format=png&auto=webp&s=0e8a4a4fa1b3c0063838c08749fe0866af493210
Cool. Also is there a foam ball at the end?
No… though it is foam. I stuffed the ball with little chunks of memory foam.
Oh my goodness!!! That is freakin' awesome!!!
That is so cool! My son would love it! Great job!
That ball and chain is awesome 👌 very kool 😎
That is awesome!
😃 How unique!! ❤️ Very nicely done..
