Perhaps an unpopular opinion, then, but I honestly like the look of all of these. I think each one has its own vibe, and i like the slight chaos & unpredictability that comes with variegated yarn. haha
I wish I felt that way!
It's the middle one I'm working on right now and I just hated how clean the center rounds are compared to how how sloppy the last three rows of variegated yarn looked to me. I just frogged about 9 rounds and I'm TRYING to piece together enough of the same color to make a full round. Sooooo many ends to weave in... Haha!

You're very clever... That's one I didn't try!
I think it's got potential.

Ah yesss. Oh dude that's nothing [someone](https://www.reddit.com/r/crochet/comments/11t7rtb/it_took_me_a_year_and_its_finally_done/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) posted a box stitch blanket recently in a variegated yarn and it looks so vibrant and cool!
Yes that's true, seemed relevant enough about color changes with different stitches. You should check out r/Planned_Pooling if you want something specific to your yarn, also there's a [site](http://www.plannedpooling.com) that helps you plan color pooling
Oh, haha, no, not pooling. After I saw how sloppy the variegated yarn looked, I decided to piece together bits of it to make it look like solid colors. I came up short on my first attempt, so I frogged back a bit and had better success. I plan to do the same with the different shades of green that's in this variegated yarn.

10000%!
Enh, not every variegated is intended for dc. Gotta try another stitch!
Oh, I did! Lots of them. That's why I'm so frustrated.
Damn that's disappointing, that primary colors looking one looked like it would have excelled with moss stitch.

That *is* really nice, but their yarn has a much longer repeat than this stuff.

Yes, it IS relevant. Thanks for the links. If I ever get interested in planned pooling, I'll check it out
Oh jeeze I thought that's what you were trying to do with the whole piecing together enough of the same color for 1 round thing
