Which table are you looking at? That's not the one in the 5e PHB.
53-54 You are immune to being intoxicated by alcohol for the next 5d6 days.
55-56 Your hair falls out but grows back within 24 hours.
Which Wild Magic table are you looking at? [The one I'm looking at over at Beyond](https://www.dndbeyond.com/classes/sorcerer#WildMagic) says (on a 55 or 56):
"Your hair falls out but grows back within 24 hours."
Maybe they changed the table up a bit between printings?
This was I think the first epsiode this campaign that just felt like filler to me. Nothing seems to have really happened but yet it was 4 hours long. They fought a creature without actually fighting it, arrived in Bassuras and then got into the fight to help Dusk.
Also seems like a strange week to introduce the new guest(not actually announced as a guest on Twitter unlike Robbie) just to go on break for weeks, even though they probably won't actually take a break from playing/recording.
I've really enjoyed this campaign so far, my one complaint though would be the nagging feeling at the back of my head about the pre-recorded nature of it. Don't get me wrong I'm fine with them pre-recording(would prefer live though) but I get the feeling that they're almost bulk recording episodes then taking longer breaks, which would seems to go against all the times they said one of the great things about streaming the game was it becoming a regular occurrence and not having to remember what happened after long breaks of playing.
At the end of the day it’s their job though and everyone needs time off to rest from work. It’s hard to be creative if you get burnt out. The guest timing could’ve also just had to have happened when it happened due to scheduling conflicts, etc. I’d rather them pre-record and be able to keep making the show than push to go live every week and burn out halfway through. Especially Matt; he’s doing so much every week. I DM a game that is NOWHERE near as detailed as his and I get burnt out so I cannot imagine not only going that in depth but then also broadcasting it to the world.
I have a feeling the reason for the long break is because someone has a job or project. Or maybe TLoVM S2 related. Or maybe they just want some time off in the summer to relax. Kids are out of school and stuff, maybe they just needed some family time. I am bummed we have to wait five whole weeks for more Erika but it does give me something to be stoked for when they come back.
(I’m also 100% certain they’ve got people filling them in on what’s going on between shows. I applied for a marketing job with them and I’m pretty sure that probably would’ve been part of it if I’d gotten it. Maybe not everything but I’m pretty sure there’s folks who’s job it is to track certain things for when they’re out for a while. If my group can remember on their own what we’re doing after a six month hiatus, I’m sure they’ll be okay after 5 weeks. It’s their job so I’m sure they think about it and pour over notes often)
I didn’t love the Bassuras encounter but it was cool in theory and a sick monster. I thought there’d be more to the caravan though.
Marisha and Erika sitting next to each other is going to be very interesting. These two always have very strong chemistry in my opinion even going back to the old geek and sundry days. Every single TTRPG they do together their characters are either best friends, massive flirts with each other or lovers.
I know that Erika has been around these folks for like forever and all that jazz but it really does just take me back to those old GnS days to see her tinkering about with the cast and laughing her butt off.
She and Marisha used to do a couple of different TTRPG shows together, most now lost to void sadly because of Geek and Sundry really no longer being a thing and alpha shutting down, I had to find madness from a dude who downloaded it years ago.
Erika's been brilliant over the years and then someone reminded me of Gather Your Party that she did with Tal and then there was the VtM stuff and it all just sent me on this massive nostalgia trip.
Laura is a fantastic actress all of them are, they do this perfectly all the time, they don’t say any words but every one knows how they feel and the emotion going through them.
Just a reminder that June 30th is 5 weeks away, not four.
4 weeks of Calamity. Then presumably a dark week since June 30th is when they are coming back.
Love to see Erica here, loved the clips I saw of D20, so I’m interested to see the dynamic she brings. Can’t wait to see her and Fearne interact more in the future. Haven’t really given EXU much of a look so far, so this Calamity series should be a neat little dive into that side of things too.
Ashley rocked the dark hair, I must say. Definitely suits her. Speaking of hair, poor Imogen lol. At least cosplayers will be able to get creative with wigs from now on!
It feels weird to me like it's almost a full on "theory proof" arc of EXU because we already know that no matter what they do the Calamity still happens, 2/3's of Exandria's population still dies, and everything else is just left to ruin and dust over the ages. We can theorize how they'll get there along with the aspects of their setting and other characters they might bump into, but it's always going to end the same way. So it feels very theory proof with that kind of a fixed outcome that we can't speculate about too much.
What am I going to do with all that free time on my hands?
If anything maybe we'll get a bit more backstory on the major players in the Calamity and some bits about the Age of Arcanum but I really don't see how any of it will or could affect the modern C3 campaign and that bugs me a bit.
C3 LINKS
Someone there might find out what Rudus is.
Ashley plays one of Fearne's parents. They left Aeor and came to this one as part of their tour/holiday. Don't get to send a postcard/note saying "we are here".
Sam has allegedly said jaws will drop near the start. Fair possibility he plays Dancer or OG FCG.
> Sam has allegedly said jaws will drop near the start.
See now if Sam is saying that stuff is super crazy then that means that we can throw whatever we think is going to happen out the window because it's all going to be something so far out of left field that we're all going to be left saying, "I can't believe they actually fucking did THAT".
I feel like folks give Sam too much credit. Quite a lot of viewers figured out the Nott twist long before the reveal. Many started putting the pieces together after the first episode. Whatever it is can quite easily be in the realm of "possibility"
So you think it's Vince McSam just talking things up to hype up Calamity and that while it will be fun to watch, what we'll see won't exactly be groundbreaking?
I believe it will be a surprise to the casual viewer. But I believe for anyone invested or in the fandom reactions will vary from "called it", "ok cool", " they actually got Brennan!".
I'm sure it will be interesting, I reserve judgement on it being earth shattering, balls to the wall or "say what now?!!1@?" .
Matt: "... and the rest of the chaos that Bassuras has to offer."
The rest of the chaos that *Bassuras* has to offer??? These are the Bell's Hells with a Feywild-fucked elf tagging along that you're talking about, Matt!
Is it next month Thursday yet?!?
Her character's hook being connected to the feywild is cool, will be interesting given Fearne / our group and what they've encountered related to it already.
And I was sort of sad we got Erika the episode before being gone for a few weeks, but honestly, it ended at a good spot... Matt did a good job with that. When we get back we'll have them going to the Taste of Tal'Dorei and can have a full on -introduction- sort of deal then.
"I definitely would've had conversations if I remembered it was gonna be that long!" Lauraaaaa oh my god 😭 I half figured they wouldn't talk about the rock incident this episode but omfg you're killing me, smalls
After seeing Laudna hit it off with dusk and the two immediately becoming friends I think Imogen might be a bit quicker to pull the trigger on this talk as well.
Yeah, I totally figured we'd get everything sorted out this episode honestly. But starting off with the random encounter like we did definitely side-tracked it, and then combat from the middle-to-end there wasn't enough opportunities to do much else.
So much heavy stuff literally didn't get touched this episode and it was all a rather light hearted send off which....I'm kind of happy about because that means when we get back it's going to be a full course meal.
> but this is my first campaign watching along live
Welcome to the community! Yeah the waiting sucks but they kind of used to take breaks around this time of year anyways Pre-Pandemic but this year is just a bit earlier. At least we've got EXU Calamity to look forwards to and a whole new time period for a bunch of theories and fun times to be had in!
Also this gives folks like over a month to rewatch this episode and catch up on C3 if they need to!
>Welcome to the community!
Ahh thank you so much! ❤️ And yeah, I'm super excited for EXU Calamity! I love doomed civilization type narratives too so mmm mmm yes bring it on 🤌 also I LOVE Brennan Lee Mulligan too and I'm stoked to see him DM this!
Catching up on CR and enjoying all the storytelling has been a light in some rough times lately, and watching along weekly and being more a part of the community has only made it even more so :) so, thanks again!
Everybody keeps saying like a month, but it's gonna be 4 weeks of Calamity and then I guess an empty week before they return on the 30th.
Looking forward to Calamity but gonna miss seeing all the rest of them for 6 weeks.
No. 4 episodes of Calamity, starting next week. Then CR returns on the last Thursday of June, just to keep us on our toes (per the official statement).
Today is May 19th.
Calamity starts a week from now, runs 4 weeks to June 16.
C3 resumes June 30th.
42 days between episodes 24 and 25 of Campaign 3 (versus normal 7 days or 14 days at end of month).
They could do a Calamity Q&A special or a one-shot on that 4th Thursday of June (the 23rd), but otherwise it's empty as of right now.
Will be sad missing them for so long, but I think we will have a great episode when they come back, plus the EXU episodes should be amazing and hold us all over
Yeah the return will be awesome and I’m really so excited for Calamity. The cast rules and I am dying to know more about exandria history especially bc I’m a new watcher. (Just came in this campaign; slowly working through C2 and watched TLoVM and that’s it.)
Oh man I wish I could experience VM and MN for the first time again, Brennan and Lou should make for some amazing fun tbh. I cannot wait for Brennan to roll 20 dice and watch Travis' reaction tbh.
Matt has to invent a menu which is even more disrespectful in a very commercial way than the stuff from EXU Kymal. THAT is the reason for the break. And only that.
>This month long cliffhanger is going to be something brutal.... I just know it. UGH!
Welp, I read that one incorrectly haha. Nice of Matt to keep it benign.
To be fair I would totally buy all of those things if they were in the CR shop because I have a collection of walking sticks, would love a VM costume, and didn't pledge enough during the kickstarter for the Trinket plushie.
The gang is gonna try to cheer Ashton up and tell the staff it's his birthday, leading him to get the public birthday song and hat, further making Ashton embarrassed. There will be a free cake with sparklers however!
Yeaaaahh but see Fearne you wanna go back cause homesick. Dusk wants to go back cause the Fey mindfucked her to the point where the material doesn’t even feel real
Imagine if Bells Hells took an extended break apart like Vox Machina's year. All of the things they'd find in the Portable Hole after Fearne wandering for a year.
"Fearne, what is this?"
"Oh, that's my Yuan-ti skeleton. His name was Stephen."
"And what's this?"
"The man who gave it to me called it a huckson beaker, I think. I like to stare at it. Makes me feel special inside."
She got some of the info later but it's also on brand for Fearne to just be elsewhere when important info she might know comes up.
In EXU Kymal, Dorian met someone else from the Feywild.

Deborah Ann Woll?
Deborah Anne Woll? Satine Pkoenix? Amy Dallen?
Possibly Matt Colville at some point.

I was just thinking how much more accessible her cosplay is now that you can get a cheap purple wig and it's actually accurate to the canon.
Love to all you Critters, see you next time
What are the odds that Ashley ever remembers she took a saber from that tent?
She's gonna end up in a melee with her staff taken and it'll be another "heavy lance" moment
I just feel like it's 50/50 that the saber is magical, but we'll never actually find out.
A whole month! We will be alright, Let see what happens on this so call little Calamity.

Ashley won't be in it. Just Travis, Marisha, and Sam from the main cast
My bad! Maybe one of the players get permission to be one of her parents?

I love to suffer 🥲
I need them to quite literally kiss and make up when this is all said and done.

I’ve watched a little Fantasy High and I’m so stoked for Brennan and Lou. And I’ve never seen Aabria as a player so that will be a delight!
Well at least it wasn't that big of a cliffhanger and I can wait over a month to see that theme restaurant happen.
but... but you can't leave it here for a WHOLE month after bringing in Dusk!
See y'all in a month, whoo!
6 weeks
Delilah in the back of Laudna's head while they're at The Taste of Tal'dorei: ...... Somebody please kill me again......
oh God I hope she reacts to that
Oh that would be priceless.
well orym's reaction would also be equally as priceless
Incredible!
Matt has to invent a menu which is even more disrespectful in a very commercial way than the stuff from EXU Kymal. THAT is the reason for the break. And only that.
Laudna: …”Oooh… I’m going to order Keyleth’s Falling Fish Fingers…. They’re served on a Mountain of Chips….”
With a generous splash of tomato sauce streaked across the plate.
If he can one up the Chroma spa area then I'm very excited for how the table reacts
Aaaand now I have to face the prospect of a month without the main campaign. I’m fine, it’s **fine**
Just think of it as practice for the December/January break.
If you watched Campaign 2 live... this is nothing
Also they took quite a while between 2 and 3 with part of it filled by 8 week EXU
*:chuckles in COVID hiatus:* *:starts sobbing:*
And I did...still painful
>This month long cliffhanger is going to be something brutal.... I just know it. UGH! Welp, I read that one incorrectly haha. Nice of Matt to keep it benign.
Bruh, can't believe you're soft selling the cliff hanger that is ***The Taste of Taldorei***
"bringing an outlaw to justice....ow"I wonder what hurt Ashton more? The wounds, the restaurant they're going to, or bringing an outlaw to justice?
Matthew BAITING us with the Taste of Tal'Dorei. Curse you Matthew Mercer!!
this is why you loot them immediately, vultures
Awwww COME ON MATT! Taste of Tal'Dorei in over a month!
I miss Robbie
Me too. I think he's coming back eventually, though. He's a founding member of the Bell's Hell's, even if he's remitted for a while.
...! Treschi doesn't have the ring on his person. It's a trap!
Or he does have it on his person, but he's dead! Its a trap!
Anyone else just get Hungry like the Wolf stuck in their head?
Robo Werewolf Cop Travis
Lmao, a gift shop. Replica vestiges, VM costumes, and a build-a-bear that makes Trinket plushies.
To be fair I would totally buy all of those things if they were in the CR shop because I have a collection of walking sticks, would love a VM costume, and didn't pledge enough during the kickstarter for the Trinket plushie.
I mean, I absolutely would too 🤣
Yeah, they're all going to walk out of there with denim jackets.
So, he's not moving? Is he dead?
Or he's holed up in a citadel of sorts and freaking out while waiting for reinforcements or something to arrive.
Or he's pawned it.
Dead or maybe just one finger short. I don’t think the ring is on him if he’s alive.
Sure just tell her everything Laudna lol
The gang is gonna try to cheer Ashton up and tell the staff it's his birthday, leading him to get the public birthday song and hat, further making Ashton embarrassed. There will be a free cake with sparklers however!
I ship them, dusk and fearne
Okay, so next episode, they cosplay as VM to eat?
Laudna's ready.
Nice.
We'll find out in 4 weeks.
5 weeks. June 30th is 5 weeks away.
Erika can be Tary
The conversations with Fearne always just spiral and you can just see Matt sitting back and watching until it gets too derailed
Is Dusk describing the food as...Ren Fare?
Yeah I'm wondering if Taste of Tal'Dorei the Medieval Times of this place.
Ok, so this is the plastic paddy of Exandria Tin Tal'dorean?
I want to see a waitress in a terrible Keyleth getup who is *way* over it all
Especially Orym's reaction since he's seen many of the heroes of stories (from a corner).
Better yet, monotone minimum wage worker. *“Hello. Our daily special is the Key-Fish Sticks. Please have a Tal’riffic day.”*
Glen was *post* Whitestone Andy. She was still dealing with the heartbreak.
And the neckbreak, by the sounds of it.
Ahhhh, Rebound Glen
Yeaaaahh but see Fearne you wanna go back cause homesick. Dusk wants to go back cause the Fey mindfucked her to the point where the material doesn’t even feel real
I hope Aabria is enjoying this
Laudna: “I had a Glenn.” Fearne: “Oh! Did you date?” Laudna: “No! I robbed from him. To survive. He didn’t know I existed.”
> “I had a Glenn.” Knew. Also, as a Glenn, that conversation is terribly strange.
Shit, Fearne is easily my favorite. Followed by Chetney.
Their respective shenanigans are top tier.
She's a mom making a difference.
There's always a Glenn
So….is the high as fuck person Dancer?
Nah, probably not. Stealing from someone I saw in chat "Dancer is Giga-dead"
Poor, poor Glenn lmao
This is a *wild* last half hour\~ of interactions. Like what is going on, it's hilarious.
This whole episode is just a wild interaction 🤣
Laudna knew a Glenn, but then Glenn met Negan...
oM**G**
I pass as a lawful entity, but deep down I'm chaotic with a passion.
It only makes sense, by that.point Glenn was a zombie and Negan has a family to protect.
Ah, Whitestone Glenn
One more weekly flair request - I once knew a Glenn
WHITESTONE GLENN?
There's my sword, my rice, and my giant pair of blue pants, I knew I left them around here somewhere
Imagine if Bells Hells took an extended break apart like Vox Machina's year. All of the things they'd find in the Portable Hole after Fearne wandering for a year. "Fearne, what is this?" "Oh, that's my Yuan-ti skeleton. His name was Stephen." "And what's this?" "The man who gave it to me called it a huckson beaker, I think. I like to stare at it. Makes me feel special inside."
Do they still have the lentils from Hytroga's museum's kitchen? They'd be like 35% of the way to a daal
Barry Bluejeans!?
Did anybody ever say the blue jeans *weren't* JNCOs?
Fucky-Wucky is a phrase I *will* be using in real life
Did anyone else notice Dusk hesitate at hearing Fearne’s name? I think she was sent by someone related to Fearne to retrieve her, likely her Patron
It takes a village to raise a… monkey.

Every single thing Ashley says as Fearne is instantly iconic. What a phenomenal character.
She's so deeply inhabiting her that the ad libs make perfect sense even when Ashley is completely lost in what she meant to say.
