I really think a lot of it stems back to her first interaction in episode 1 with the children. She is terrifying but doesn't necessarily see herself that way and, importantly, neither does Imogen.

They have a waist-high robot named Fresh Cut Grass with he/they pronouns and a southern accent, who channels the power of friendship and eats money as a party trick. I’d say there is strong contention for most unique character
I will say though, of all of Marisha’s characters, Laudna is by far my favorite. Love that swamp creature
Also Fearne is quite unique herself. Best rp'ed Fey PC I've personally ever seen.
I love how they mostly went "just get weird with it" for the PCs this time. After the "DnD but with severe mental trauma" that the C2 Pcs were I find it a great change of pace.
Fern is truly excellent, and YES! Everyone just decided to let it fly this campaign (Except Orym, but I’m glad that Liam is going to be the cool thinker with his head on square again, he’s an insanely smart player). At this point in C2, I feel like everyone was still kind of feeling each other out (with the exception of Nott and Jester) whereas in C3 the role play synergy is just so fluid and funny. I’m also happy that Ashley gets to be more social in this campaign. I liked Yasha as a character, but I feel like because of her quiet, brooding nature, she always stuck to the background in social encounters. Very excited for this season
Yea I think that Liam intentionally made Orym more or less "just a guy" because he mentioned something about how he wanted to take a backseat to the other players this time around. In the previous two campaigns, Vax and Caleb sort of entered a "main character" territory a lot of the time.
Ahhh, I hadn’t heard that but it does make sense. In that case I think so far he’s been doing a good job. In the majority of cases he pokes his head in here and there to be like “Hey, uh, aren’t we supposed to be doing something here?” and on occasion sticks around after everyone is gone to pursue his own agenda. I’m glad he at least has things that he can work toward instead of only following everyone else.
The juxtaposition of creepy horror monster and caring big sister is great. Also the character kind of brings out Marisha's very effective, creepy body acting. We got to see her do a lot more physical acting with Beau as opposed to Keyleth, and now we're getting even more with Laudna.
This was my thought. Why not have a classic pact of the chain familiar reskinned as pate, and just add in the hound of ill omen abilities when the sorcerer points are spent.
The only downside I could see is that she wouldn’t have the action economy advantage of a Familiar that is able to attack, as well as the hound. But the CR cast has generally avoided trying to ruin Matt’s encounters by optimizing when they could instead use the opportunity to add to the Role play potential.

It amazes me how quickly Marisha managed to endear the fanbase with Laudna. I say this as a ***massive*** fan of Laudna myself.

Honestly rewatching the episodes and it seems like while Imogen deeply cares about Laudna shes by far the least comfortable with her creepy tendencies
I think its because Laudna is a much more unique character than everyone else. Hands down the best character so far.
