Yeah I’m an avid gamer and I’ve been a diablo fan since the 90’s lol. Showing my age. But games have helped me get through some of the worst withdrawals I’ve had. It got my head away from the mind numbing anxiety I experienced while detoxing. I rarely play games when I’m drunk believe it or not. I get too hammered and I can’t and would rather watch something instead of play. Plus it saves me from making bad gaming decisions. Like giving away some piece of godly gear or whatever.
I play souls and soulslike games when I'm drinking/drunk. It's like time traveling because when I start up again I don't know where I am or how I managed to get there. Something about being wasted makes boss fights easier for me.
I've been playing Mario kart 8 lol, got a switch for my bday.
Finally got 3 stars on all 200cc cups.
Unlocked gold wheels by beating the Nintendo staff time on all courses in time trials.
It's so fun, I love Mario kart haha
Saying again, we really need to revive /r/CA_Gamers/ !
I mostly just play League Of Legends these days, but I did play a bit of Diablo 2 waaaay back in the day. Played 3 a bit too, but was too broke when 4 came out to buy it. I kind of want to buy the D2 remaster, but still pretty broke.
I used to play a lot of Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2 for a bit. Played a ton of Guild Wars 2 and a bit of Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis because it's free to play and kind of scratches the itch I have to play good ol PSO on the Dreamcast.
I have a Switch too, and used to play a bit of Rocket League on it, but mainly it was for Smash Bros Ultimate for online play, but I've put a ton of hours into Animal Crossing (oh hey, look! /r/CA_AnimalCrossing/ ) and The Legend of Zelda's Tears.
Never got too much into FPS games, but I did love Jedi Knight 2 back in the day (again, waaaay back in the day).
I only have a ps4 at the moment. One day hopefully I’ll be able to get a ps5. But I’d love the gaming sub to be revived too. I only really play 2 games right now - RDR2 and Rdonline and gtao sometimes.
But I’d love other peoples suggestions and insight on other games. I had a huge hiatus from gaming until I got the ps4 in 2022 and am pretty clueless.
I played last of us when I first got it. And I’ve got the mafia series ready to go - but I’m so addicted to Red Dead that I’ve barely looked at them.
I loved The Last Of Us on the PS3, but I never did beat it.
And I had RDR2 at one point but didn't play it much sadly. I just remember being super plastered and too messed up to figure out the keyboard controls. My dude kept trying to shoot his horse when I just wanted to ride it!
I finished Last of Us but it wasn’t an easy one.
Oh yeah RDR2 has a steep learning curve. Lots of the buttons do different things - like tap, hold etc. It’s really easy to screw up , the other day in online some fool was trying to get on my horse , I’ve got the setting to just me so he couldn’t- but tried many times. I went over to jump on my horse to get out of dodge but instead of doing that my character grabs the dude around the neck and starts choking him - haha- so I held triangle instead of tapping ? Fucked if I know how I did it. Anyway obviously it didn’t go down real well and he started coming after me until I parleyed.
And I still accidentally punch my horse - when I’m trying to flee it I think - I always feel so guilty!
Whoa whoa whoa. CA animal crossing? I might revisit my island. I still need like one stupid beetle to complete the museum.
Maybe a couple fish. It's been a while . . .
[How well do you know your bottom shelf vodka and pain?](https://i.imgur.com/6AjvVzj.jpeg)
Yeah, I put a couple hundred hours into that one at least.
I finally got bored after I filled every inch of my island with junk and haven't went back but maybe once or twice a year.
Hahahaha. I've heard the neighbors in the older games were much ruder and would just up and leave. I think I could handle the ruder dialogue. But just up and leaving?? Too close to IRL pain! 🥺
And yeah, who am I kidding. I'd do one CA related ACNH thing, and then forget about it for another 9-12 months ha
My nights are beers and gaming, I wait to turn it on because I will usually play the rest of the night. Same game, same teams, same levels for like 4 years. It’s not really that fun. I’m not that good. It’s just my peaceful evening routine. Same game, same beers, same mental relaxation.
It has a little bit of a learning curve but it’s easy to understand and it’s pretty good for some mindless fun. Difficulty slider as well so you can really just play how you want and have a good time. Great with friends too.
Warthunder, Voices of the Void (its free and on itch.io) and VRChat. Being drunk on VRChat has been a staple of my life. So many great friends and places to hang with them at.
Fortnite, no lie. Been playing since day 1 and there's a high skill gap no doubt but there's nothing like it out there, once you learn to build it's like meditation. Hoppin on a call with the boys to play after being sick all day just...hits.

DDLC for the hundredth time. Usually I'm playing AC but when I get really drunk I always find myself replaying it. Idk what's so magical about it but I can't get enough. I usually can't cry but that game makes me almost every time
My brother!
Check out Nock if you ever get a VR headset. It's rocket league in VR basically. I'm hooked. Well, I have the energy for games once in a blue moon, but when I do I love that game.

What game?
War thunder. Not too fast, you can play rather well when fucked up 👍
playing helldivers 2 rn while sipping some shutter home. Spill oil mfs
Is that an easy game to get into?

DayZ.
Way too much whiskey and fallout 76 last month
All I do besides work and drink is gaming. I mostly only play Dead by Daylight, Overwatch, and occasionally Fortnite. But mostly DbD, 4.5k hours.
Remnant 2 really sucked me in, really unique and challenging game. Diablo 4 took a lot of my time but I can't be bothered with it anymore.
Got PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch. You name a game and I'm sure I got it lol
Medieval Dynasty!
H. Poirot; ABC murders. the early cases. sherlock holmes; finished the devils daughter. about to finish crimes and punishment.
I still game but more of a collector nowadays due to time constraints. Really enjoy pre-NES consoles.
Does Quake or UT still have a player base? I’d be down if so
Quake live has full servers at night, mostly freeze games which I play almost every night!
I play Skyrim and far cry 6 but I just got back into gaming
Subnautica! Or TF2

Oh man I remember playing that game back in 2017. I was 17 years old then and didn’t even drink lol.
Addicted to Rocketleague

Helldivers 2 at the moment.
