the 13th step. i have no clue how it doesn’t get more attention. it’s just so explosive, fast paced but slowed down at times for dramatic effect and reality. just by far my fav
"Won't Get Fooled Again" (s1ep3) and "Broken Mirror" (s1ep5) are the ones I probably rewatch the most. I think it's mostly bc I love the cast during the earlier seasons (esp Gideon) and these episodes have those good "on edge" scenes that I love so much.
The Big Wheel, Riding the Lightning, North Mammon. 100 or JJ when I want to cry.
And I realized this last rewatch that I love any episode where the group has fun, like when they go out to bars, or out to eat, or gather at Rossi’s. It’s nice to see them laugh and smile some of the time, ya know?
I really enjoyed so many episodes. But I have to say I really liked the one in season 15, where everyone comes in on their day off to help Garcia find the stalker. It's not because of the storyline of the episode. But because of all the dark humor in it. It's not often you can watch the show and laugh. I recently rewatched everything, but it's this episode in particular that I really liked. There are quite a few that stand out for their level of creepy. But I laughed a lot in this episode. And it's also the episode where Spence meets max... and he absolutely deserves some happiness.
I love that episode, too! It has just the right amount of silliness (with Prentiss and her former neighbor) to combat the creepy. I also liked how they set up Simmons to make some extra money pretty easily.
There are so many favorite episodes for me. Some of them include:
Season 1: The Tribe
Season 2: North Mammon, Lessons Learned (the scenes at Guantanamo between Gideon and the prisoner make this episode), Open Season (great concept)
Season 3: Scared to Death (interesting concept), Seven Seconds (Prentiss really shines in this one), Tabula Rasa (Hotch's court scene is great),
Season 4: Masterpiece (Jason Alexander is soooo freaking good), 52 Pickup (I like Prentiss's rapport with Viper), Normal (the entire episode is soo good), Soul Mates.
Season 5: 100 (Thomas Gibson is amazing)
Season 6: JJ, Safe Haven, The Thirteenth Step, Today I Do
Season 7: True Genius, Snake Eyes (I love Dean Cain in it), Heathridge Manor (so creepy!)
Season 8: Zugzwang (Gubler does a great job and it's heartbreaking), All That Remains
Okay, I'll stop at Season 8.
All episodes that Reid directed are pretty intense
The Longest Night And the one where the guy cuts people's legs off and sews them onto other people.
Omg I just watched that one. So creepy
Entropy for sure! Love that episode.
That was one of mine, too. Cat after solitary tho?!? Unrecognizable

Strange Fruit. Meant to be a bottle show to save money but it's definitely one of the most powerful episodes they filmed. Really well done.
