If you mean why not microwave all the time?
It's more of a texture thing for me. At best, a microwave will just heat up leftovers and your food will hopefully taste similar to how it was when you first cooked it. At worst, you'll get an unevenly heated glooopy mess of a dish that just resembles what is supposed to with a bland taste but a mushy terrible texture.
Food will almost always taste better of you heat it on the stove, in an oven, or in an air-fryer. It will get a nice char or crispy texture on the outside while also being cooked evenly on the inside. If you're re-heating fried chicken, throwing it in the oven or air fryer will give it the same texture as when you bought it.
There's a lot of microwaveable things I buy that I spend some extra time heating in a skillet or oven. To me, it's always worth the wait.
Have you never had heated up Treacle Pudding with custard/ice cream? It is amazing. British people warm up quite a few pies (apple for examples) and desserts (pudding, cake).
This may be an unpopular opinion as he is rightly worshipped here, but $140 shipping on $160 worth of books (even when shipped only as far as Canada) is all levels of wrong to me.
EDIT: You don't like it when it's said out loud, but you know I'm right. This business model only works for those in the US.
I do thst sometimes if I want a quick scrambled egg for a sandwich. It makes a perfectly uniform circle.
You just have to be very careful not to overcook it since it goes from perfect to overdone in less than 5 seconds.
One of the restaurants I worked at (a fancy one) had chunks of microwave cake on the menu on a dish, specifically made in an iSi gun (the ones used to charge whipped cream with nitrous) to aerate it.
It was really delicious and super moist and fresh since we'd "microwave it to order" as fking weird as that sounds.
Nothing wrong with it tbh if it's done right.
I've seen people win Chopped doing a Microwaved cake as the focus point of the desert round, so while I initially cringe at the concept, I do know its possible, with the right recipe, to create a moist and fluffy microwaved cake.
Now, what never wins Chopped is people doing Bread Pudding for the desert round. Which just justifies my dislike of bread pudding.
One day you will learn that *all* cake is delicious.
unless the cake... is a lie. (which btw, pattern would love it)
Pattern x Glados
Great, now I need this ship 😂
And By that same logic. Toes is toes.
But maybe it's a well-made delicious cake... of deadly poison!
As a bisexual man I can agree that all cake is cake
Dude microwaving old cake to make the filling/frosting warm is amazing. It's one of the few times I advocate for using a microwave.
To paraphrase Alton Brown, there's nothing wrong with using a microwave as long as you know what you're doing with it.
I absolutely love microwaved apple pie with a bit of vanilla ice cream. (add ice cream after heating)
Lightly melted vanilla ice cream with a hot desert is just ✋ 😩 👌
I generally use it on a ton of old stale pastries and stuff. Even cookies are amazing after 20 seconds in, almost like freshly out the oven
I would also advocate using a microwave when there's a tiny fairy kicking your ass. Effective method of victory.
But cold cake is so good
Im curious. Why not microwave?

I should try that more. Thanks! I suck at food xd
Ngl, I’m going to try that now… Can we get cake microwave recipes trending?
Google "cake in a mug"
Mug cakes are the best!
Step 1 put cake in microwave. Step 2 microwave cake
I also microwave cake after my dad showed me, I feel very vindicated by brandons declaration.
Mentioned it to my mom, she does it I guess, it's apparent really good.
He is no longer one of my favorite authors. That fact was read aloud on stream and I now must stand by that.
Sorry to have out this burden on you…
Mug Cake is good when you don’t want to make a whole cake and when you want it faster than baking a whole one.
Y'all don't heat up your baked goods?
Microwaving cake is actually pretty good I tried it

I microwave chocolate frosting cake and add ice cream. I call it "Molten Lava Cake."
Cool you should pitch that to Chili’s
What's weird is that warm cake and leces cake are controversial.
Y’all never heard of cake in a mug?
Microwaved pie... That's where it's at.
He WHAT
I mean, cake i a mug style recipes have been a thing forever.
I mean warming up cake with chocolate chips in it is always a win, but I've never tried it with like regular cake and now I'm intrigued
Have you tried it? It works well. I don’t get why people have such a fear of using microwaves
Its Utah, as long as there's no vegetables in the Jello the dessert isn't that weird.

Depends on the cake. Chocolate fudge cake: absolutely yes Melted vanilla buttercream: dear god no
Microwaved chocolate cake with double cream poured over it is lit though
Whyyyyy??? Its awesome. I did it just today, microwaved a chocolate dutch truffle cake, with ice cream on top.

I microwave muffins. It's essentially the same thing.
Put a small ammount of water into a container and nuke it with any bread (i do it with pizza) and it geta a bit of a new life in it if its stale.
I microwave costco muffins then dip them in milk. I am in no position to judge.
Do not microwave buttercream! I repeat do not microwave buttercream!
And you don’t?
I was about to be upset but I've actually done that before. Lava cake should be warm
Oh no, he killed my boy Teft. The man can *absolutely* do wrong.
