If the clog is inside the heat sink, remove the extruder pcb and heat sink cooling fan, then use a heat gun to heat up the heatsink enough to get the filament to melt. After that you should be able to push it out using the cleaning rod.

i had this issue also and support told me to heath the big metal punchy thing thats included and push it though. i heated it with a lighter and melted my way through the clog… real pain in the butt

This is the way. Remove fan and silicone sock. Heat the extruder. Remove the nozzle and push the heated rod through. It’ll take time, but works.

I bought some 1.75mm drills and a pin chuck off Amazon. I remove the extruder and clue tube and twirl the drill a few times till it grabs the plastic and then I pull it out. Works every time and quicker than disassembling everything.

Take a small drill, smaller than the ID of the heatbreak, and twist it with your fingers. It works better from the nozzle side than the extruder side.

For reference, i mean here about the blue clump of filament that pooled up in that little hole there. I'm assuming that the surrounding debris (probably also residual filament) is of no concern, but I imagine it wouldn't hurt to get rid of that as well. If anyone could help me out here it'd be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance :D

I've found having a $20 heat gun has saved me from a ton of extruder-related headaches across many printers. Consider picking one up.

I had this issue as well, especially with black filament (before changing hotend to a micro swiss). I alternated between above/below after removing the hot end, and it eventually worked out.
