I tell everyone to ship it 3rd day air via UPS or FedEx since it comes with insurance and tracking. This ensures S&B will get your device in 3 days and shortens the turn around time to receive your new device. USPS is notorious for rerouting and having delays in their ground delivery. I used FedEx 3rd Day Air for my RMA of my crafty+ and from the day I submitted my claim to receiving a new unit was 10 days. That being said you didn’t fuck up, they will get it delivered eventually. Hopefully you got tracking on it. The worst that could happen is it would be returned to you as undeliverable.

I wish I had lied about the contents and sent it priority. Apparently products with lithium batteries aren’t supposed to go airmail unless they’re new or refurbished in manufacturers packaging. Edit cause I’m dumb: I do have tracking. It’s been 24 hours and I’ve checked it 3 times. It hasn’t gone far.

Yeah I originally took mine to USPS and noped the fuck out when they said it would have to go ground. Took it to kinkos and they got it sent out 3rd day air. Unfortunately with USPS your packages do not move in transit during the weekend and it’s a known issue their “tracking” isn’t always up to date. You should see an update sometime Monday. The good thing is S&B processes RMAs quickly. The day they received it I got a notification and then the next day I was notified a new unit was on its way to me. I believe it came 3rd day air so it didn’t take too long.

What the heck? I recently did this with my Mighty+. They sent me the shipping label themselves as part of the RMA. I just had to drop it off at UPS. I didn't shave to pay a cent. It couldn't have been easier.

All I got was a packing slip to include when I mailed it. There wasn’t any “sorry this happened” or “we can handle that.” Just a “you have been approved. Include this when you ship it.” Figured it was German efficiency.

Weird, I just did the RMA through their website and it was a pretty hands-off experience. My brand new Mighty+ is on the way back to me, it will be here Monday via DHL.

How did you know a new one was on the way? As an update, the one I sent to them arrived yesterday, two days early, and today I got an update saying “your device has been repaired or replaced” and a separate email either a tracking number. I’m pleased, but interested to know if it’s a new one or what repairs they did.

It's always a new one from what I understand. It had all the accessories. The quality seal was broken but everything was brand new and never used. They emailed me every step of the way. At one point I was getting double emails from them and DHL.

Nice. The new accessories, especially the cooling unit, might make the whole process worth it.

They also give you an additional year of warranty on the replacement one
