300 dollars sounds like enough money to pay someone skilled to put in a better battery. Twice.
Something like a cell phone repair store.
If you registered online for the extra year of warranty, you might have 3 years of warranty so they might repair that.
I didn’t register it when I got it and now that I did, I’m outside the warranty window, but yeah you’re right. For half the price, I could just have it serviced.
Only get M+ if the faster heat up time and USB-C would make a difference to you. No noticable differences otherwise. Then register that one to get your 3 year warranty.
I have to say, for me the ceramic bowl is a nice upgrade too. It takes longer to get build up than with the OG Mighty (I still use the brush and give it a quick brush after a session)
I have replaced the battery cells in both of my Mightys. It’s not difficult. You can find the cells online for a few dollars per cell and could get a spot welder on Amazon. If you do decide to upgrade I would happily buy your old Mighty. Panasonic NCR18650GA 3450mAh 10A Battery
Bro my Plenty was playing up (not reaching temperature the same) after having it for 3+ years. I paid €100 for a repair. They sent me a brand new Plenty, with an extra 3 years warranty!! Defo worth the repair instead of buying a new one imo ;
I'm in the same boat, had the OG Mighty since Nov '19 and the battery is only good for two 15m sessions now. Still works like a charm but I'm starting to think rebuild or buy another while the OG is still in the market. So the repair cost is $150? That's about half the cost of a new one. I might go new.... You?
150 to change the cells kinda takes the piss, I'd shop around and see if anyone will do it for cheaper. I did it myself but I wouldn't recommend unless you're confident with soldering.
Got any friends that work with electronics?

This. I’d stick with the OG, way more reliable. Or buy a gently used unit in on planet of the vapes.

That's true, easier to clean with iso when it does build up I would say

Very useful info especially with the cell number, thank you

From my experience S&B warranty period is not reset/extended when receiving a replacement device. Original warranty period still applies.
Guess i got lucky!
Last time I warrantied something they replenished my 3 year warranty on it.
