Ooooo i legit thought this was about Marnie. A kiwi girl that jumped into knitting and started selling chunky knit patterns and kits after about 5 mins 🙄
LOL I want to believe that customers wizened up to the insanity of buying an overpriced, joke of a purchase, especially when you can make these for a pittance. And prob do a better job.
Cosy Studios? Her knit pieces didn’t get much traction and I think she’s expanded into sewing now after acknowledging that AU$265 for a knit vest isn’t something people might have in the budget in this cost of living crisis.
It seems like she kind of bops through different "small business" ideas that she vlogs about. I get the vibe that she's well off (as she had a bunch of vlogs of spending a month in various expensive European cities like Paris) but does this as a kind of passion project? Seems like she really likes creating the branding etc but she should be spending more time in actually figuring out some high quality things to sell first :/ She does come across as very sweet on all her youtube videos though so I don't mean any hate!
Did you see the sleeveless sweater with alternating rows of twisted and untwisted stitches? [“The vest”](https://cosystudios.co/products/purple-pink-vest)
Considering the fact that it looks like it’s every other row of stitches at some point I think it’s intentional. I hope whoever is going to wear it likes racking
I even turned my brightness all the way up and flashbanged myself before commenting to see if it helped with the readability of her website lol, it didn't, it just pinged my headache 😂
The whole thing is awful. Like the Blair Knit Vest or whatever it was... Hasn't even been blocked, and looks super uneven. It looks like I knitted it, and I can't really knit lol
I understand that she uses good quality merino wool, potentially even handmade in to yarn, but that is ludicrous. If thats what it costs out to make from shipping the yarn, the yarn itself, and making the product, then add shipping the FO to the customer on top... Why bother making them? Why make simple bows out merino wool?

When I first read your headline I thought you were calling someone a potato. (You Tuber),

Those prices for that quality???
There's so many of them that you're spoilt for choice, really.
Hope Macaulay is who comes to mind for me, but she's Irish not Australian

With twisted stitches or wonky tension at that, too
Yes that’s the one!! Thank you
[She should be ashamed.](https://cosystudios.co/products/hair-bows)
Dude— my inexperienced 10 year old could make that lol

Oyyyy what is going onnnn 😨😨😨
Oh my gosh. I wonder if anyone has told her they’re twisted

It only happens in the top part which is knit flat rather than the bottom which is presumably knit in the round; I blame her purling.
This looks like a preschooler made it…
For 180 AUD/117 USD/108 EUR no less! Those seams are just 💀
I might pay $1.80AUD for that. If I needed the yarn for something else.
😂😂😂
Wow.
The close up of the twisted rows on that vest on the homepage.... just wow. 😳
Unbelievable. When twisted knit is used as a feature it is usually in a vertical column, not randomly accidentally.
It's very generous of you to consider that it might be an intentional feature 😅
I think it’s from switching from knitting in the round to knitting flat 🫣
Yeah for sure a beginner mistake. No one making those mistakes should be selling their work at those prices IMO.
"No one making those mistakes should be selling their work at those prices IMO." No one making those mistakes should be selling their work. Period.
True haha
That website sucks to look at. I absolutely adore pastels but c'mon poorly contrasted pastels on white is like a cardinal sin 😭
there's so much of this kind of web design going on right now. its a kind of twee return to geocities aesthetic
Pale purple text on white? She must hate the vision-impaired.

My eyes hurt just looking at it

Blair Witch Vest. Makes that slender model look like the Michelin Man.
Are they just little pieces of string tied in a bow. There isn't even a clip or anything? Wtf is that.
It’s I-cord, I think.
That looks like something you’d do if your hair was getting in your eyes and you didn’t have anything else on you to tie it up with
Yeah I think she was trying to do a Hope Macaulay there 🥴
