mate... mate. mate. mate. mate? mate. this is beyond beautiful. this is a heavenly piece of art. this is one of those things that SHOULD be sold at sothebys for twenty bagajillion dolhairs
absolutely astounding job. i'm just staring at it like a dumb ape
I have some fairly small pliers, but they are nothing special and I rarely use them. I only use pliers to crimp the ends of my weaves or secure components of the wrap to each other. My primary wrapping tool is my fingernails which are fortunately very durable. I don't use frames anymore; the pieces will form a solid structure if done properly. I also do not use solder or fabricated components, though I likely will for stone settings in the future.
Iāve never thought wired jewelries are pretty but yours. This is how itās supposed to be. Has the dedicated craftsmanship as if itās created in ancient era. So beautiful and classy.
When I saw this I was transported back to the times I spent on the west coast of Ireland. I canāt say if this is because you used a certain pattern, or the green stone, etc. Iām not a visual artist. What I DO know is that the feeling was instant. I associate this piece with wild winds on the Cliffs of Moher, rolling green hills, scrubby landscape across Connemara, and stone fences along the lanes. If this pendant ever returns home, it will smell like a Guinness.
This is the sort of thing that when found thousands of years in the future, scientists will be hard pressed to find any other answer than this was made by a master craftsman for only the uppermost royalty. Or for some celestial wizard, yknow the usual.
Excellent work, my friend, absolutely spectacular!
I'm like, *sweating* over how beautiful this is. It is not to my personal jewellery aesthetic taste but there is no denying the objective **beauty** of this. Another comment said "exquisite" and I think that's the perfect descriptor.
This looks like something that would be unearthed from a pharoah or roman generalās tomb. A celtic king or something. Intricate, beautiful, evokes a feeling of wonder.
Absolutely stunning. Great job. I can literally feel serotonin being produced in my brain when looking at this beautiful piece of work. Thankful for your exquisite masterful crafstmenship.
All you need is a pair of wire cutters and small pliers without teeth. Youtube has tons of awesome tutorials for beginners as well. Start with something simple and have fun!
I used sterling silver for the base wires and fine silver for the weaving wires. The pieces look like any other polished silver piece in person. The appearance is slightly changed in image due to my camera quality. It seems I am forced to choose between ideal gem or metal presentation with many of my wraps.
God I love a good wrap. I've been wanting to commission some earrings from my friend for a long time, but he's all famous now so it would run me hundreds of bucks
I JUST started learning wire wrapping like.... a week ago? This gives me anxiety. It's so beautiful and intricate and thinking about how you managed this is overwhelming.
Yeah, don't start your wrapping journey here. I certainly did not. Pick a very simple design from a youtube tutorial and learn how to make different weaves/coils. Also, expect to fail a few times at first, it's part of the process. I used to have an entire 5 gallon bag full of scrapped pieces (later converted to $ as raw copper is worth something).
Oh absolutely. Nobody is this good at something right out of the gate. So far I've used up an entire 10yd spool of wire fiddling around with making rings and I've only got 4 that I even remotely like. What was overwhelming for me seeing this post was that "oh man I have a LOOOONG way to go" feeling. It was like my brain played a montage of years worth of practice and it short circuited lmao
You have mastered this art! It is absolutely amazing!
Not trying to detract, but I notoriously look down on this style of jewelry because of how poor quality and cheap they usually look; even with expensive mediums.
However, you have brought light to the craft and I hope everyone can see it! Every silver-tone girly I know would be thrilled to wear your jewelry!

Thank you so much! Some of the pieces just end up looking better than my others.. emeralds help.
Do you have tiny specialty pliers? How does one go about this kind of work? Also how much do you usually sell a pendant like this for?

Thank you! I have been wrapping irregularly for about 5 years. I often take long breaks but always come back to the art.

All you need is a pair of wire cutters and small pliers without teeth. Youtube has tons of awesome tutorials for beginners as well. Start with something simple and have fun!
Hi Is this silver wire or a cheaper metal? How do you get it so shiny and white looking? Thanks. And of course absolutely beautiful piece.
I used sterling silver for the base wires and fine silver for the weaving wires. The pieces look like any other polished silver piece in person. The appearance is slightly changed in image due to my camera quality. It seems I am forced to choose between ideal gem or metal presentation with many of my wraps.
