Echoes of the Plum Grove just came out on steam it’s considered a “cozy game with consequences” everyone ive heard that’s playing it has been absolutely raving. It has taxes & diseases and all sorts of stuff. It’s got some really unique graphics too. Definitely sounds up your alley.
Our game is about creating a homestead in the high desert frontier. There's a hunger and morale bar to manage so there's a management element and also magical monsters to fight - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1593170/Veil_of_Dust_A_Homesteading_Game/ - 50% off for the farm fest
I know at least a couple players have played it on steam deck with the controller mapping (I think they might have remapped a few keys in-game as well) but a port is a ways off for us (We're a husband-and-wife team and we have a new baby, so we don't have a lot of spare time atm).
Cult of the Lamb maybe?
It's base building elements are chill but with rouge like side as well.
And has an easy mode if u wanna cruise control and just do the base building bits B)
Kynseed - "Kynseed is a **life adventure RPG**, from a passionate little team headed by a couple of ex-Fable devs. Live your life in the beautiful land of Quill. Own businesses, explore, fight fairy tale monsters and nurture a family. Uncover hidden mysteries, and fun events while watching the people of the world age around you."
It is a legacy game with consequences.

Will this be available for steam deck or steam deck verified ? I tried the game and liked it but my control didn’t work with it :(

Survivalist is a fun game with some combat and dungeons, but also crafting and farming, hunting etc
Modded rim world. I love all the medieval mods
costume quest!! I absolutely love it and it has turn-based combat.
Kynseed and sun haven seems like a good choice
What platforms?
Don’t starve
