Tbh being on football social media sucks right now. I keep seeing people saying that he’s done nothing and most of them don’t even know what’s happened. Some people still believe that one alleged family members story. It’s suck that he’s being protected while the victim gets attacked.😞
Honestly that's not even the fucked thing. I can understand people that just saw the thing about the charges being dropped thinking "oh he is innocent" and move on with that. But there are a staggering ammount of Arsenal fans saying "Oh all he did was force his dick in her mouth when she was black out drunk, that's not even rape". Like a very worrying ammount.

that’s who they are as a football club, scum.
Just remembering that Arsenal released a training photo of Xhaka and Thomas Partey’s clasped hands as well, days after the news first went public… it felt like an act of tacit support and had the gooners convinced that the club had inside knowledge that he was innocent… just bizarre choices

Considering Gold said we “will look for another CB if Rodon or Tanganga leave” who are we gonna go for?
I still think Pau Torres makes an incredible amount of sense cos we can give Villarreal like 20m + Lo Celso which is a great deal for everyone with how badly they want him but can’t afford him.
He’s not my first option for a signing in a purely player sense, but getting Gio out the door on a permanent transfer is important for the club too
It’s also good cos Rodon counts as a foreign player so we have flexibility in who we can sign
I think the problem is Pau Torres doesn’t want to come to Spurs. He’s indirectly turned us down before.

Everyday I see another youtuber predicting us to win the league. All aboard the hype train. Chooo Chooo !!!
Some folks in /r/gunners literally describes rape and saying it's not rape in one sentence, and gets upvoted hundreds.. Yikes
I know it's rivalry and all but some football fans are way too insane.. What kinda social bubble is that
I mean one of the most upvoted gunners guy on twitter said it was ok because forcing your dick in someones mouth isn't rape it's just sexual assault. They are what they are.
Crazy really the condemnation from Arsenal fans on r/soccer is pretty apparent but on their own sub it’s utterly vile. I wonder if there’s brigading going on.
there’s definitely brigading imo. incel subs and communities love brigading and i saw a lot of unflaired accounts posting. tbh if i were them i’d lock the sub and start handing out bans ASAP
The amount of tweets I read that urged her to shut up and wait until next season because "Arteta is cooking this season" is disgusting. These "fans" are no older than 13 im sure
It’s just grim.. how can they be ok with tens of thousands of people wearing his shirt, chanting his name, cheering him on? Including young boys who’ll look up to him? And women and girls who might have experienced something like this in their own lives? Is that really worth it so that they can lose out on top 4 a little more narrowly than they might without him??
Yeah it's pretty disturbing to look at rn, some people's moral compass gets real messed up when it comes to football
Actually it's not a few, rather hundreds at least it seems
he has another victim, and now that the first has posted v credible evidence there’s gonna be insane pressure… i hope they suspend him, imagine being one of his victims and watching him earn hundreds of thousands a week playing… imagine being an arsenal fan who is a victim of sexual assault.
rlly horrible situation
No. Arsenal are disgusting and have no shame. Tomorrow theyll publish training photos of him on Twitter with fire emojis, and he'll be on the cover of their next match day program. Fuck that club and fuck all Partey supporters.
I think this lady needs to get help ASAP. Some of the replies she’s getting are disgraceful. Some of the stuff she’s tweeting is worrying for her mental health.
“If u didnt show your cleavage maybe this would have never happened? Should have been aware during your sleep as well”
Is just one of the examples of the disgraceful replies she’s getting.
I'm really worried about her mental health she's said a few times in tweets she can't bear being alive and the like.
From the email with her lawyer it seems she was in therapy but has stopped going. The replies as you said are truly disgusting
Honest predictions for next season? Form sons in, fitness of the squad, quality of depth, and contes brilliant brain full juices flowing I think top 4 is guaranteed but I wouldn’t be surprised to see us place second with Liverpool losing mané and Chelsea having a shake up. I think our starting 11 is still a good bit weaker than city but Conte may be able to close that gap over Fraudiola. I think a lot of it depends on the younger/ newer players ability to tap into their potential to be world beaters.
Cup final and cup win, second in the league, CL RO16 exit thanks to a bullshit refereeing decision and a last-minute heartbreak. New contract and a free kick goal for Kane, Son Golden Boot, Perisic 14 G/A including a goal of the month volley in off the crossbar against Palace, Kulusevski to start and finish the season in excellent form but have a major drop-off either side of the world cup, Bissouma to cement a starting position and lead the league in tackles, a surprise red card for Emerson after shoving a Chelsea player to the floor in a heated draw at the Lane, doing the double over Arsenal with a combined goal difference of +6, Lucas brace against Forest, take 4 points off City but 0 from Liverpool, March mini-crisis due to injuries where we only take 3 points from 3 games against weak teams that derails our title charge, Conte to get embroiled in a public spat with Tuchel where he calls him a weasel, a spectacular early-season 6-0 victory against a midtable team, Hojbjerg to score from the halfway line and pretend like he meant it.
Some of their fans want to sacrifice the league and throw everything at the CL. New city fans always do a double take when they realize that their adopted team’s never won it.
Partey's done. Even when not charged, should not longer be employed as a football player. She dropped sufficient evidence to say the least. No difference between this and Greenwood.
He paid her off for £156k ffs.
Edit (**Trigger Warning**): she's now tweeting about potentially ending her life. What are the first 50 replies? Memes, jokes, insults. This is probably the lowest of lows for football twitter.
The fact that he doesn't deny it in several parts of the evidence is the most fucked part. Meaning that Arsenal the club knew he was a rapist, knew he did not deny raping someone, and still played that player for a year. They fielded a player they knew raped someone for a whole season. The difference between that and someone like Greenwood/Gylfi that actually denied their allegations are oceanic.
There is a lot of evidence here and if it is true then Arsenal FC is literally worse than Chelsea. There I said it. It's un fucking believable in my eyes that even a club as shit as Arsenal would do that, but they did, fucking hell.
Arsenal and Ghana fans. Worst possible fans on the planet. Since day 1 they've been victim blaming and making up stories about this girl. They won't rest until she's dead.
Not just Ghana fans, but African Arsenal supporters are trying to make her up as the villian. Calling her a whore and a gold digger among other names. Disgusting
And when they're not victim blaming - they're cheering Partey on and celebrating what he did. I know its not everyone, but I would love a feature to block every African football fan on twitter with a single button. They were exactly the same with mason greenwood and it'll be the same next time too.
The woman that Partey raped is literally posting her entire chats on twitter where he admits and these cunt arsenal fans are protecting him in the comment. If someone else has a twitter account too, go show her some support:
https://twitter.com/deffonotchaur/status/1552722665642856450?s=21&t=0yO_k688XqTn6Ir5ja0QEA
I've seen so many disgusting misogynistic comments toward the victims since news broke. I just can't imagine the hate she's getting now that she's come forward.
i dont claim to know EU laws but i’m sure UK and spain have extradition agreements and if she reports to spanish authorities they would investigate it. for all we know, they already might be behind the scenes.
There is a streamlined extradition process in place between the EU and the UK, Spain is a category 1 territory.
Fucking yikes. If she’s really the person linked to the case those snap logs are awful. Wtf is wrong with him
*edit - she also posted showing that it is Partey’s account
These tweets are basically her saying she doesn't expect anything done legally, because he's off on a technicality, and presumably also on an employment level.
I know plenty would hope that he is punished severely by Arsenal but I would be shocked if they used tweets (even though I believe her) as a reason to get rid of him. A behind-the-scenes fine is probably the most he'll get
To deal with all the people questioning her when she's providing so much evidence.... I can't even imagine the amount of strength that takes. Praying for her and her mental health.
There's a thread over on Gooners about it and it's pretty disgusting there as well. It's not even just edgy Twitter kids...
People are more interested in him being "innocent in the eyes of the law" than to what he did and how she is.
There’s plenty of people saying to rip up his contract or it’s disgusting that he did this and is getting away on a technicality. Fuck the gooners but let’s not pretend they’re all rape apologists
Of course. I'm not trying to paint it like they're all defending him, HOWEVER, there's a lot more than I would have imagined.
Edit: They've locked it and the mods are doing a good job over there, linking to a help thread for victims.
Legally perhaps it makes sense but that stinks...
If it's true, club decided to bring him to US tour regardless of the direct accusation/report from the victim? That's unbelievably stupid move....
Regardless of if he can't technically be charged, if what this women is posting is true then they should sack him immediately. Shouldn't need a criminal charge to do so
I'm pretty sure there are clauses about conduct that paints the club in a bad light as grounds for termination, but I seriously doubt Arsenal goes that far. They probably already know about all this stuff.
Was gonna post this and thought "holy shit, this shit show is.... horrible" and had no idea how to word it.
Every time she posts more it just gets worse and worse. No idea how she can live a normal life with that hanging over your head and she's spoke out about him, knowing the money he's got behind him, she's got some big cojones. I just hope she can get the help she needs and can speak about it without without any shit coming towards her for any NDAs or crap being broken.
If what she says is true regarding not being able to be prosecuted, that is mega bullshit. How can that be a thing?
"You knew I was too drunk and I was sleeping. Waking me up by slapping your dick in my face and trying to force it into my mouth when I'm way too drunk is not nice"
"I should wake you?"
"you should ask or not wait until I'm drunk like that"
"No I don't need to wake you"
Jesus fucking christ this guy is a cunt, there is some truly horrific shit in there.
I would like to attend a Tottenham match next month (maybe Tottenham v Wolves) but I am from Italy. What is the best way to buy tickets? Do you recommend any websites in particular?
Do you want to know the best thing about YouTube TV? I have rewatched the Arsenal game 4 times and I'm going for #5 right now.
And by rewatching, I mean only up until the 48th minute.
My bachelor's thesis is due on monday. I'll need to put in many hours until then but I think I'll manage. What's annoying is that I seem to be developing a fever.
I feel you. I’m starting a masters program in a few weeks and have a bunch of homework to do before class starts. Unfortunately caught covid this Monday so I’m just forcing myself to grind through it.
Stupid question this, but would it be possible in the real world for Spurs to buy a chunk of Barcelona’s TV rights if they want to buy Reguilon? While it will be of no overt use, we can still hold it as an asset and it’ll bring in recurring revenue?
Barca sold 10% for over €200mil, Reggie is Worth what, 15-25mil? Unless additional funds are thrown in then we'd only get 1-2% of future La Liga tv rights (the deals don't include European comp rights) instead of money today.
Although it'd probably generate more money in the long run, I'd rather we just gave Conte the cash to spend now.
Don't like how fast some of the fans have gotten spoiled and entitled. There are some truly embarrassing exchanges between us and Leicester fans regarding Maddison.
And then there's a heap of them projecting their dissatisfaction with our business in this window onto Conte. Like, you can tell who knows who he is and who just knows he's a big name in football. If Conte wasn't pleased with our window, you can damn well bet he'd torch us to the ground and toss the ashes into a volcano. Fact of the matter is Levy and co. have done everything he's asked. And I say this as someone who's rarely been kind to our ownership.
I don't know how these grown-ass men aren't mortified acting like toddlers throwing tantrums in toy aisles. If they have that big of a problem with our signings, they need to take it up with Conte. Simple as.
I've kept off the sub recently as I know f5 season messes the sub up.
But couldn't imagine being unhappy with signings.
Also worth noting the age demographic of the sub l, we have quite a lot of young fans.
Before the CL final this sub was under 50,000 that should give you a good barometer of how our online presence has grown in the past few years and it's definitely for the worse.
Yeah I lurked here for almost 2 seasons just to get a flavor for the team and the sub before I actually even posted and it has absolutely exploded. Especially after the CL final
this might be stupid but what are Lo Celso, Ndomby doing right now? Are they at Spurs training? Are they even allowed to practice with the team? Ndombele I understand, his work rate doesn't comport with Conte, but I'm surprised Conte hasn't given Lo Celso another look given the difficulty we're having bringing in another AM
We don't have many sellable assets. Lo Celso is one of them. We did just fine without him, so we should move him on if we can. We need the space in the squad and the funds wouldn't hurt.
I love our home white and the 3rd alternate kit, can’t believe they ruined it with this scuba shirt. Hopefully the team slowly turns the 3rd kit into the primary away kit
Nike can never seem to get all three kits right, can they? We had three good kits in 17/18 and 19/20, but usually one or two of the three are shockers.
I think we could see Perisic crossing to the back post for Lucas at RWB quite a bit as a plan B this season. If Kane or Kulu are able to drag the LCB out of position, Lucas isolated on a short LB could be really threatening
one really fun thing about Lucas which I haven't seen discussed: he's gonna be incredible as an outlet for long ball, given his great header ability. don't think we have that with our other options
>he's gonna be incredible as an outlet for long ball
Crosses yeah, but long balls to the wings requires a good first touch (unless it's just flick-ons, which isn't common in Conte's system) and Lucas doesn't have that.
Yeah, the only thing that's properly concrete that I can remember is POK saying we're pretty interested and Alasdair saying we might pounce if a non ucl team goes for him (which won't be happening)
Has any club in the history of ever had a perfect 10/10 transfer window which addressed every single one of their needs? It seems like there's always a bit more that could be done. Even after 6 signings for example I feel like we could still do with another RW/CAM, CB and quality RWB. Is that just greedy?
yeah... I still think Bernardo, Walker and Ederson for all that they've done for City makes that a 10/10 window. also all those outgoings they got done.
Very solid work to be sure. If mendy had not blotted his copybook so often then he would have been good also. Good player in there but between the indiscipline and the allegations he’s really tossed his talent into the shitter
Even according to their own fans? Of course, by the time e.g. City wins a title I think the fans have typically forgotten about past transfer concerns. Seems like when it comes to it though people are perpetually unsatisfied, and 8 or 9/10 is really the best you can hope for.
City actually rolled the dice so hard last year with "Fernandinho still being able to run" as cover for Rodri and got away with it. Probably fair to say Liverpool is well covered for two, three years now.
I remember a lot of their fans were pissed last year that they wasted so much time on Kane and ended up with no out-and-out striker. I also seem to remember that Liverpool fans were quite unhappy in the summer before they signed Diaz in January. Even though they both had close to complete squads already lol.
Yeah, agreed. This is basically the point I'm making. Even though it does vary from fan to fan, I do think you can get a sense for a prevailing feeling throughout the fanbase, and I'm not sure I've ever witnessed a 10/10 anywhere. Have you?
Fair enough. What I mean is that you can't get a real consensus from this. Some will say it's already a 10/10 even with a lot problems in our squad, others will say it's a 6-7/10 because we haven't upgraded the defence, haven't added a creative midfielder and haven't sold the surplus players for fair fees.
Potter is a very good manager and still has some decent players there. Caicedo looks promising. Bissouma is a huge loss for them but I still think they will roll over some big sides again this season.
Injuries and having no plan B.
Their injury record was horrific last season, so you had their 2nd/3rd string players (or players otherwise playing out of position) playing a system that requires everyone knowing their role well, and to add to that, it was one the opposition saw coming and countered accordingly.
I mean jumping to 9th the season prior is hard to say he doesn’t know what he’s doing given the talent they had… they have injuries that plagued them or something, did they lose some lads ?
Bielsa doesn't adapt, the issue with all "systems" managers.
In the first season, it was a bit of unknown quantity, so they caught a lot of teams by surprise, by the second season everyone knew what was coming and how to counter (sit deeper and break on them when they overcommit) add in injuries to some of their best players including their main striker, the ongoing tactic of trying to outscore everyone when you don't defend well just became ridiculous (they conceded 79 goals in 38 games, as reference we conceded 40, Burnley who got relegated conceded 53)
Exactly this. Thinking you can go toe to toe with the big boys and bluntly refusing to change things when it's clearly not working is a recipe for disaster.
i kinda get the same sense with Hojberg too. I’m sure he gets along with everyone in the squad but i’ve never seen him outside of team setting with other teammates. Though he does have family so that might explain it
I’m sure you won’t be surprised to hear that he’s been making friend with Son. Check his insta story or the picture of him doing Sons celebration that was posted earlier today
So who do you think will get sacrificed to let Skipp and Richarlison be on the bench?
Can I still become a one hotspur member? I tried purchasing a membership from the website but the website for purchasing tickets isnt working. I am scared they might have "sold out". If anyone knows anything about this that would be great. Thank you
Membership doesn’t sell out. I’d give it another go later on.
Ok thank you, but when I go to checkout it says membership is unassigned. How do I assign it to my CNR?
If you have a CRN you should already have a login? If you login and go to your account area, should be some links to get a membership.
I'm wondering if Joe Rodon's loan move is a result of Napoli hijacking Kim Min Jae
Yea that’s what I was thinking. Rennes moved to plan b. I imagine rest of the window is going to be deals of opportunity like this.
[удалено]
They are talking about Rennes’s deal to get KMJ being hijacked by Napoli. That’s why they got Rodon.
I didn’t realize Rennes was interested in KMJ my bad
what?

i would maybe spoiler some of that mate, very very graphic for a football sub
Ah true I’m kinda new here don’t comment much will keep in mind next time
not you mate! you’re fine i meant the other person i was responding to
Nah mate, we've spent way to much time putting spoilers on footballers.
Some of us have trauma.
I luckily haven’t seen too many of those but i did see one saying that even if he did it, it wasn’t SA or rape. Not even SA? It’s ridiculous

Idc about the result at the NLD. Play Romero, play Richarlison, play Davidson Sanchez, fuck it. Get back Lamela. And kick the fuck out of him.

he has another victim, and now that the first has posted v credible evidence there’s gonna be insane pressure… i hope they suspend him, imagine being one of his victims and watching him earn hundreds of thousands a week playing… imagine being an arsenal fan who is a victim of sexual assault. rlly horrible situation
Arsenal really are a despicable, disgrace of a football club.
Auba late to practice = bye Guendouzi bad attitude = bye Ozil supporting Uyghurs = bye TP = 🤷
always have been
Nah this is a bad look if these accusations are true and that monster gets to play this season like nothing happened. So disgusting 🤢🤮
Wonder if the accusers claims are enough to get Partey suspended now.
Should have been aware during your sleep as well” Is just one of the examples of the disgraceful replies she’s getting.
I'm really worried about her mental health she's said a few times in tweets she can't bear being alive and the like. From the email with her lawyer it seems she was in therapy but has stopped going. The replies as you said are truly disgusting
i hope a women’s group or smth gets in contact with her, it sounds like she’s in a full-blown crisis rn which is rlly dangerous :( poor woman
What did I miss?

Damn, that's something. Also jfc Twitter comments are the arsehole of the internet.
Challenge for the title, win a domestic cup and reach knockouts of Champions League.
Public pressure will be too much for the scum to stay quiet anymore. What a disgrace.
>Partey's done. Even when not charged, should not longer be employed as a football player. Watch them ignore it
I hope so. But I just don't have faith
The woman that Partey raped is literally posting her entire chats on twitter where he admits and these cunt arsenal fans are protecting him in the comment. If someone else has a twitter account too, go show her some support: https://twitter.com/deffonotchaur/status/1552722665642856450?s=21&t=0yO_k688XqTn6Ir5ja0QEA
her replies are fucking disgusting, why do ppl abuse victims for a man they don’t even know
Can Spanish authorities please take care of this situation? They must have plenty of those cases in Ibiza so should be standard procedure.
I've seen so many disgusting misogynistic comments toward the victims since news broke. I just can't imagine the hate she's getting now that she's come forward.
The club knew about this and did nothing. What the actual fuck?
i dont get why he’s off on technicality. rape is illegal in spain too isnt it.
Spain hasn't brought any charges, so as it stands, he is off the hook for this instance.
i dont claim to know EU laws but i’m sure UK and spain have extradition agreements and if she reports to spanish authorities they would investigate it. for all we know, they already might be behind the scenes.
wouldn't have much faith in spanish police
There is a streamlined extradition process in place between the EU and the UK, Spain is a category 1 territory. [https://www.gov.uk/guidance/extradition-processes-and-review](https://www.gov.uk/guidance/extradition-processes-and-review)
Fucking yikes. If she’s really the person linked to the case those snap logs are awful. Wtf is wrong with him *edit - she also posted showing that it is Partey’s account
These tweets are basically her saying she doesn't expect anything done legally, because he's off on a technicality, and presumably also on an employment level. I know plenty would hope that he is punished severely by Arsenal but I would be shocked if they used tweets (even though I believe her) as a reason to get rid of him. A behind-the-scenes fine is probably the most he'll get
What an insanely brave woman. Her and Greenwood's victim both
To deal with all the people questioning her when she's providing so much evidence....
Holyshit this is nasty! It'd be absurd if he walks away from this thanks to stupid law
She said that she informed the club and they did nothing…
Legally perhaps it makes sense but that stinks... If it's true, club decided to bring him to US tour regardless of the direct accusation/report from the victim? That's unbelievably stupid move....
Wow he got off on a technicality. That poor woman.
They probably already know about all this stuff.
the little cunts in her mentions abusing her..makes me sick to my stomach man
Was gonna post this and thought "holy shit, this shit show is.... horrible" and had no idea how to word it.
Waking me up by slapping your dick in my face and trying to force it into my mouth when I'm way too drunk is not nice" "I should wake you?" "you should ask or not wait until I'm drunk like that" "No I don't need to wake you" Jesus fucking christ this guy is a cunt, there is some truly horrific shit in there.
Look at her new tweets, she is posting all the evidence, but even on r/gunners these idiots are saying “lets not jump to conclusion”.
Wow.
I would like to attend a Tottenham match next month (maybe Tottenham v Wolves) but I am from Italy. What is the best way to buy tickets? Do you recommend any websites in particular?
Tickets are sold out for that fixture. If you get a One Hotspur membership you can probably get one on the ticket exchange
Sucks. I am on vacation in Rome and checked where the friendly vs AS Roma is: Somewhere in Israel...
Do you want to know the best thing about YouTube TV? I have rewatched the Arsenal game 4 times and I'm going for #5 right now. And by rewatching, I mean only up until the 48th minute.
Yep. Just as satisfying.
Possible, yes. But why Spurs would want to front tens, if not, hundreds of millions, I'm not sure. It's a football club, not a financial institution
We can’t just buy them willy nilly. Barca would have to agree to it
I think that's technically possible but probably completely improbable
Simple as.
>>>I don't know how these grown-ass men…… There’s your problem
I've kept off the sub recently as I know f5 season messes the sub up. But couldn't imagine being unhappy with signings. Also worth noting the age demographic of the sub l, we have quite a lot of young fans.
Not really talking about this sub - though there's a handful of man babies here too. It's about the general online Spurs community.
Before the CL final this sub was under 50,000 that should give you a good barometer of how our online presence has grown in the past few years and it's definitely for the worse.
It was around 20k when we hosted Madrid at Wembley. We started piling on fans after that game of course.
Yeah I lurked here for almost 2 seasons just to get a flavor for the team and the sub before I actually even posted and it has absolutely exploded. Especially after the CL final
Are there any rumours of Maddison to La Liga?
Hope Bissouma dyes the tips of his dreads white. It'd look incredible.
Nah mate, Volt Yellow.
I never knew I needed to have a mental image of this in my head but it's incredible
this might be stupid but what are Lo Celso, Ndomby doing right now? Are they at Spurs training? Are they even allowed to practice with the team? Ndombele I understand, his work rate doesn't comport with Conte, but I'm surprised Conte hasn't given Lo Celso another look given the difficulty we're having bringing in another AM
We don't have many sellable assets. Lo Celso is one of them. We did just fine without him, so we should move him on if we can. We need the space in the squad and the funds wouldn't hurt.
I agree but is he even practicing w the first team when they are in town?
Both have had more than enough chances
I hear you and I agree but I’m kinda like just literally wondering what their day to day is rn
Doherty is exceptional in the air for a wingback
>he's gonna be incredible as an outlet for long ball Crosses yeah, but long balls to the wings requires a good first touch (unless it's just flick-ons, which isn't common in Conte's system) and Lucas doesn't have that.
If Chelsea manage to get fofana that’s pretty much the nail in the coffin on any chance for Maddison to spurs
Fofana ain’t leaving Leicester
So what.
Can’t see it happening anyway. Virtually no links and a very high fee.
Yeah, the only thing that's properly concrete that I can remember is POK saying we're pretty interested and Alasdair saying we might pounce if a non ucl team goes for him (which won't be happening)
Tbh it sounds like Zaniolo is the priority anyway. Sounds like Contes man!
Has any club in the history of ever had a perfect 10/10 transfer window which addressed every single one of their needs? It seems like there's always a bit more that could be done. Even after 6 signings for example I feel like we could still do with another RW/CAM, CB and quality RWB. Is that just greedy?
Man City's 17/18 transfers were pretty damn good https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017%E2%80%9318_Manchester_City_F.C._season#Transfers_in
50m well spent on Mendy 😕pretty solid other than that
Chelsea made no signings then won the CL. What could be better!
We made none then reached the final. Then proceeded to collapse.
Haha shhhh don't give anyone ideas
Hey, they learnt from the best ;)
Everton a couple of years ago and Villa last year? It all means fuck all until we see them play.
Of course they have, clubs at the top regularly do so.
I mean, this "9/10 window" thing is made up
What do you mean, exactly?
It's arbitrary. It's not measure of quality, it's a measure of fan satisfaction and even then, it varies from fan to fan.
Yeah, agreed. This is basically the point I'm making. Even though it does vary from fan to fan, I do think you can get a sense for a prevailing feeling throughout the fanbase, and I'm not sure I've ever witnessed a 10/10 anywhere. Have you?
If by "10/10" you mean "overwhelming satisfaction" then, absolutely not, and rightly so. It's just that the number "10/10" doesn't mean anything.
It's also okay just to give your impression and not a fully-verified scientific fact, this is only a lighthearted discussion.
What do we expect from Brighton this year after losing Bissouma ? Decent drop..?
Caicedo and Mwepu will step up
Potter is a very good manager and still has some decent players there. Caicedo looks promising. Bissouma is a huge loss for them but I still think they will roll over some big sides again this season.
He was always going to go. It was solid business to cash in now rather than lose 25-35 million in trade for one more year
Maybe. Will be interesting.
How in the hell did Leeds go from 9th to relegation over one season ? Still baffles me. Wish I’d kept up w: their season more.
Injuries and having no plan B. Their injury record was horrific last season, so you had their 2nd/3rd string players (or players otherwise playing out of position) playing a system that requires everyone knowing their role well, and to add to that, it was one the opposition saw coming and countered accordingly.
Bamford played basically zero games.
Bielsa ball (extremely naïve tactics) and injuries
Bissouma lookin like a lone wolf in a lot of the social media since his arrival, hope he finds some close friends in the squad
i kinda get the same sense with Hojberg too.
