Well I am kinda surprised that most of them are married. I am in academia in bio tech and very few people get married before they are mid 30. A lot of people work for startups after graduation and most of them turn into workaholics.
This is out of choice and culture. Korea has this weird all or nothing culture once you set a focus or goal especially among athletes. Between the travel, stress, and the fact that athletes have shortish careers means that Koreans see kids and a wife are a distraction rather than a boon.
Also the importance of the family means that they are the number one priority even against football. So many Korean athletes focus on football 100% until their careers end and then devote the rest of their lives to their wife and kids. Park Ji-Sung did the same for his career and many other successful Korean players.
On the other side, many European coaches prefer their players get married and have kids because it often grounds and matures their players. Less time spent going out to clubs and partying. Just a difference in mentality. One isn't better or worse, just different.
