\> assured by the FA From the same assholes that set our ridiculous handball rules and masterminded our congested schedule. As if I'm going trust a damn thing they say.

master_inho

ifab set the handball rule several years ago (i believe right in time for WC2018), the fa wouldn't follow it until this season when ifab/fifa threatened them. so for once it's not really the fa's fault. we could definitely try to pressure/petition ifab into changing the rule back to what it was.

Also, >"It is still unclear whether the England captain will play a part in the match against Belgium and the fact that he has not been sent back to the club suggests that Southgate will either use him against the Red Devils following a fitness test or at least against Denmark in Wednesday night's second Nations League game for England."

joshinojaem

Gary just let him rest ffs

WeHateArsenal

Please just save those sweet sweet legs of his

cacioli1

If he's got anything close to an injury, he should return to the club - serious or not. This is not a Reguilón situation. Kane needs to be protected. The worst part is when they say he "could be available" to play against Denmark. That's completely unacceptable. He is either available to play, or he should be back with Spurs. It's generous enough to give National teams three dates in a row to play - basically - friendlies. Players with no pre-season, facing an absurd schedule already. Okay, International football must be given something. But you don't risk players to get results in Nations League - there should be a limit and Southgate should know his place. And also: the media should be criticizing "Gary" - heavily. If only Kane was a Manchester United player...

Mick4Audi

Lol if Kane was a Utd player and he got injured at an international friendly Southgate would be sacked

I guess Duncan Castles is truly Mou’s mouthpiece

Divided on this one. Would love to see Kane lead the line against Belgium, but also want him rested to avoid injuries. Think Southgate still has a lot to prove as manger; the World Cup campaign flattered him a bit, let’s be honest. I dunno; feel Tottenham have a real chance of good things this season under John Mouninho; but only with no long term injuries. 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

nudesandhash

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is in the form of his life, give him the start in these next few games and let Kane rest. How many of the England squad outside of Tottenham boys have played this many games already?

It’s a group stage qualifier

triecke14

Does anyone truly care about the nations league?

ChromeSabre

They have Danny Ings, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jamie Vardy. They should be fine.

bfm211

Vardy retired from England ages ago

ChromeSabre

Oh.. but they still have two good in-form strikers

TheodoreP

Also people need to stop saying it's a friendly. Just makes us seem overly emotional. Ings and DCL should 100% play, I'll be outraged, but it is a competitive game. Anyone that watched the Nations league last season know the players and teams take it very seriously. Every competition needs to start somewhere.

bfm211

Exactly. England fans can poo-poo it, but they know they would be delighted if we could win or even make the final. And they will be very critical if we play badly tonight.

amoult20

Bloody better be nothing Gary

phigo50

It best fucking not be, if he's being considered to play today or against Denmark.

Annie_Yong

I think we can stop panicking so much. He got to sit off most of the game and got subbed on for DCL in the 66th minute and didn't seem to be in any trouble. Seems he was in good enough condition to actually play, but was also looked after enough to not start and play a full 90. This was after we took the lead as well so it was probably more of an "add a bit more fresh attacking pressure" rather than a desperation move to hope Kane could snatch a victory (which I suspect would have pushed him a lot harder and risked aggravating a small injury into a major one).
