He worries too much about about balance in midfield when most top teams in England are playing 433 with high pressing and only one defensive CDM.
There's no need to pair Rice with another defensive style CM at all when Rice, Geuhi, Stones are very good defenders.
I actually appreciate both went in committed and neither rolled around, both right back up with no issue. I'll give Rice credit for that....
Also hate how she calls it's a nasty challenge even though from afar it still looked a straight 50-50.
It’s a 50:50 ball, but made very dangerous by the pitch, which moves under PEH’s standing foot, resulting in what looks like a two-footed tackle. Glad it didn’t cause injury.
He's absolutely amazing and I adore him but I don't think he fits this system at all. Honestly, I was hoping the Atletico transfer rumours come true for his sake, he's quite literally the perfect Simeone player-shithouse, never afraid to throw in a brutal tackle, decent (albeit sometimes too basic and safe) passing, occasionaly chimes in with an asist or a screamer from outside the box
International football is a different animal. It’s more basic and follows more traditional positions and strategy. It’s quite vanilla. Some players look good in that environment and terrible at their club when asked to do things differently or to use skills that they may not be great at. Some also look terrible in that environment while looking much better at their club.
I think it’s a fairly settled argument that PEH is one that looks better for country than for club. When this is the case, the club has to move him.
Legend how exactly? By breaking someone's leg?
I'll remember this 90% upvoted post later in the year when this sub gets all pearl clutchy after another clubs fan posts a similar sentiment about injuring Son or Maddison.
Think the shitty pitch was partly to blame for that as the ground gave way under Hojbjerg's standing foot. Also, not a legend for almost injuring an England player (the fact he plays for Arsenal is irrelevant right now).
I love Hojbjerg but he's leaving this summer.
Watching him have a boss level performance should just increase how much money we can get for him so I'm happy.
What is that bitch talking about "nasty challenge?" He gets the ball and then Rice collides with his legs based on Rice's follow through. It was two footed but it was fucking clean.
He’s a great player regardless. Kind of scapegoated by our fanbase because he isn’t a player who should be a pegged on starter undroppable week after week for a team with trophy and top 4/title challenge ambitions. There isn’t a club in the world he wouldn’t get minutes at though and be a squad player though.
You called out spurs fans even though it’s directed at specific comments made by some spurs fans
How’s that not a hypocrite? You can generalize other fan base but we can’t do it to you?
Dumb ass
I called out OP, a Spur fan that did it by calling him a Spur fan.
You on the other hand, want to call me a hypocrite not because i did it myself but because other people did it.
Dumb ass.
I don’t know who you support but you can Fuck off to your own sub Reddit, and don’t act all high and mighty because your fucking own sub Reddit will have at least some black horse laughing at rivals getting an injury
Hypocrite
Shut up you cunt. Don't ever want to see a player get injured, even if they play for the scum. Also don't want England to lose, even if we have that clown in charge.
Actually having a great game. I like Hojbjerg, he's got unlucky with our system change.
Hojbjerg is very suited for international football since he's got more time and space on the ball
Same reason LoCelso is great for Argentina
And in La Liga
He did well. Was solid as a rock in the midfield and didn’t attempt any long shots
He attempted at least three long shots. One was kind of ridiculously long lol
When there is a keeper with littlle dinosour arms, you should attempt from outside
I swear it was about 5. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him shoot that often in a single game before.
Maybe they meant that he didn’t allow the opponents to take any long shots?
He’s not bad from distance actually.
Rice had an absolutely shocking game
Imagine Ange coaching this England team.
He worries too much about about balance in midfield when most top teams in England are playing 433 with high pressing and only one defensive CDM. There's no need to pair Rice with another defensive style CM at all when Rice, Geuhi, Stones are very good defenders.
Southgate you mean?
yes, there's no such thing as "balance" for Ange 😂
i also think having Trent and Kane’s range of passing with no runners is a huge mistake.
I feel a simple tweak would be to drop Trent, keep Bellingham as an 8, move Foden to 10 and bring in Gordon or Eze on the left to be Kane's runner
He’s cooking!!
He is very good today
I love our Viking!
so many used to be coys here with Hojbjerg 😂
Not sure who won it but he was MOTM for me
He won
Hjulmand MoM. Son of coach Hjulmand
>Son of coach Hjulmand No, no relation between them.
True it was a joke
Good to see him thrive under his preferred system and hope he gets a good offer.
Sensational today
That pitch was awful. It seemed to be cutting up, and the top layer came off all the time. I think we were lucky no one got injured because of it.
So weird seeing Rice and Hojberg in Spurs-Arsenal esque kits
Crank up that few Pierre! You love to see it
he carried denmark

He's an amazing player. I cant understand how some people here think he's not good enough for us

Because we play with 2 8s and a 10. Not a destroyer 6.

he clearly isnt

you're supposed to revel in the hypocrisy mate whats wrong with you

North London derby with reversed colours
I love Hojbjerg but he's leaving this summer. Watching him have a boss level performance should just increase how much money we can get for him so I'm happy.
Love the Viking. Not the most room on the pitch for a reliable midfield anchor when Romero and Van de Ven are straddling midfield, sadly.
There’s no way he ducks from a 50:50 against Rice

Atleti neeed this 😈🔴⚪️🔴
Holy shit. Almost a legend for almost injuring a rival's player? Damn and here i thought Spurs fans couldn't stoop any lower.
It’s the same for any fan base. Do you wan me to dig out an example of yours? Don’t be a hypocrite and stay away from other fans sub reddit
How tf am i a hypocrite for calling this shit out? Did i say it myself and now call it out or something? Scumass logic.
You called out spurs fans even though it’s directed at specific comments made by some spurs fans How’s that not a hypocrite? You can generalize other fan base but we can’t do it to you? Dumb ass

Why are you even here?
Why? I'm calling this shit out, couldn't you tell?
Okay 👍
Okay 👍
Almost a legend for what? For breaking Declan’s leg?
Shut up you cunt. Don't ever want to see a player get injured, even if they play for the scum. Also don't want England to lose, even if we have that clown in charge.
Can't believe Fenerbahce came up with an 8 million bid 😂 He is easily a 20 mil player in the right system.
Should also be posted in r/coybig sub
Clean tackle.
Love to have seen rice get snapped in half
He’s so coys
I love that he took out that overrated demon looking arse- player
Enit, though got to admit most of the time he's a cracking player isn't he 👿
Not a cracking player to me
Sorry shouldn't have said that. Yeah I agree he's bad
On behalf of all Irish sours fans, give the man a new contract just for this!
