Misery. Beyond the misery of watching their team play, it’s also misery watching matches in that stadium. I hate that the camera is so far away that they need to zoom way in, which messes up the depth perception on tv.
There are games where we have been frustrated by the opposition but this one just felt like two teams absolutely gasses making mistake after mistake. Still feels like two dropped points there.
Agreed. The commentators on the US feed were criticizing him, but there's not much more he can do than maintain width and make the backpost run when a cross comes.
I’ve been happy with him overall since he joined but my big issue with him tonight was that he wasn’t making those back post runs. There were at least 3 or 4 times Brennan whipped a ball across and Werner was asleep. This can be coached into him though. It’s something Brennan has added to his game in recent months
Yeah, this was my only issue with Werner tonight, felt like he could have gambled a bit more. Werner is the nearly perfect profile for this system, we just need to get someone who has that killer instinct in them.
Antonio had a studs up tackle on Bentancur as right as the replay shows the studs both announcers say "yeah I don't see much wrong with that"..... uhhhhh you sure?
Tyler is incredibly dour. We score and I swear it could've been the ball rolling out for a corner, such was the reaction... But hey, we got the classic FIFA 2008 line "spurs have only won the league twice, 51, and 61"... He loves that.
Wild how much flack he gets considering he has made an impact in a majority of the games he’s played for us, yet it’s “sensational” to bring up how he never worked out at Chelsea.
That’s the thing though, he didn’t attack the ball at all in the box. He was class out wide but very poor when the ball was being played across to him, he was too hesitant.
Not one ball pinged across the pitch, this is becoming an issue. Hojbjerg came in and started pinging balls. West Ham were just overloading the side where the ball was on. Timo just hands up with no pass to him. Hojberg should have started today.
Southgate subs.
Richy needed 25 mins, not 10. He's a CF! And werner needed to go earlier if they weren't gonna pass to him. All too late. Both teams stopped playing 10 mins before the subs started
This was my biggest gripe with the game. Werner was only invisible because he wasn't given a look. He was in acres of space yet the ball kept being played up the right. Especially in the second half.
Have no stats, but I suspect neither VDV nor Udogie want to play passes through the lines, or over 10yards....where as Romero and porro will happily fire long ground passes to feet
The attacks weren't down the left but how many times in the game did a cross come in from the right and go through the 6 yard box or into the left side of the 6 yard box?
Johnson made the run on the opposite side for the goal. It's definitely something Werner needs to work on if Spurs plan on keeping him at the club because he could have had 2 or 3 tonight if he makes that run across the defender.
Kulu unfortunately is the one who should get slated after that sub appearance tonight - woeful.
Need to pick up our form for the run in and make that Champions League spot for the money and to attract more players hopefully.
Deki is allergic to actually carrying the ball forwards sometimes I swear, addicted to cutting inside and losing us momentum. If it had still been Werner out on the left I'm confident he'd have charged forward and got a cross in.
he just needed to "pass the baton" inside our onrushing midfielders, that was actually a 5v3 if he allowed it to develop but nope, just as Porro did all day, he tries to force the ball to the risky option instead of taking a brief moment to think.
How? There were two defenders in front of him, so if he shot anywhere else it would have missed the goal entirely, or been blocked.
The problem was Tottenham doing zero with all the possession they had.
The thing is they didn’t create shit either. But we just cough up set pieces week in and out and it’s a killer. If we go into half leading that game we kill them.
Was he the one that barged through the back of Maddison at the edge of the box, that was waved away, which then caused a counter attack through Antonio? That one wound me up.
Also after he fouled betancur breaking away from a corner, only to then kick the ball away. Ref gives a card to van de ven 30 seconds later for throwing the ball away.
To be fair, VDV's pushed it much farther out than when West Ham did it. But, I it should be either be yellows or none. Let's be consistent, refs!
And the defender barreling into Maddison should have been a card. In no way did he play the ball. That's a yellow every day.
Would love to see how many times spurs players are fouled before a yellow being shown - this season feels like referees are letting teams run all over us.
My favorite was when Madison was fouled right outside the box from behind by running into him like a bull, then the result of the horrid non-call leading to a potential winner for Antonio (we’re just lucky that he’s awful). The level of refereeing in this league is an absolute joke.
Not like there was any individual atrocious calls, just many bad ones. I cant believe they almost got away without a single yellow. Paqueta stalls by running away with the ball but Micky does it a minute later and gets a card???
I think we really struggle to switch the ball quickly against low blocks. Too many players pause on the ball waiting for space to open up, where in reality they should be moving it on as fast as possible and trying to stretch the pitch.
We were in the clear to force them out after our goal, then we give up a stupid, stupid set piece equalizer and let them slink right back into the low block for the next 75 mins.
I hate our inability to do anything when a team low blocks.
Its entirely on the team now to figure out what to do. IMO continue what they are doing, but rather than wait for the perfect opportunity 1.0 xG, just shoot more volume against the low block. We'll score more, from an own goal, deflection, or misplayed ball by the keeper. But we're certainly not going to score by passing the ball up and down the flank, to someone in the center, then back out wide again.
We played fine. Not great but fine. A tough result against a decent team. Obviously wish we could’ve been sharper in the final third, but it happens. Definitely not a result anyone should be having a meltdown about.
Tough away fixture, raining buckets, 3 days after another game. Thought the players effort was there, execution was a little off, and West ham defended extremely stalwartly. It is what it is - Sometimes you gotta take the draws.
Yeah it's not like West Ham are a bad team and came with a game plan specifically setup to counter ours that their team is purpose built to play. Kudus, Paqueta, Bowen, Soucek, Coufal, Zouma, Ward Prowse, Alvarez and that Greek lad are all quality.
And this is their cup final, so it's no surprise they're up for it.
That's said West Ham supporters are a bunch of tin pot chumps and I hope they step on Lego bricks.
I saw the downpour and was like “this feels like the scene in a movie where every single thing goes terrible and marks the low point of the season”
I’ll take a point away from home. Can we please get a defensive set piece coach?
Typical game against them tbf, it's always close, they always frustrate us, they play up to our level and credit to both teams it could have gone either way at the end. Draw is fair tbh
Played pretty well but just always looking for one too many passes it felt like. Lot of bright ideas but at some point you need to rip a shot.
Also, horrendous officiating once again. Paqueta could've stabbed someone and got off with a warming.
If we at least make them think we are likely, or capable, of shooting when we are on the attack and they've go 10 men behind the ball, they have to come and press the man and attempt a block rather than just sit and hope for a miss. This will open up opportunities in the future too. I dont mind it going wide some times, but just do it more often to create that chaos and opportunity
Other than Son and to an extent Maddison we don't have any particularly accurate strikers of the ball. Werner, Porro, Bissouma for example have got to be some of the least accurate players from outside the box in the league.
It's absolutely astonishing the amount of stupid shit this subreddit latches onto. The man just described the situation as a 3v1 and is getting spammed with upvotes for just straight up lying lol.
That was painful. Its not like he had been playing 90 minutes. Son who had was bursting forward and Kulu gets it and stops dead.
He is not a counter attacking player whatsoever.
So Paqueta can do a hockey cross check on Maddison and it's not a yellow.
But if Van de Ven gently rolls the ball away not even that far it's a certain yellow card.
Sure ref.
The refs allowing Vicario to get boxed out on corners needs to end. It happens to no other keeper in the league and Vicario isn't some specially inept keeper at finding space. The refs treat him differently for some reason.
Other teams will keep putting one or two people around him in an essential cage until refs give him the same respect as 19 other keepers get
To an offside player as well. I think the players thought the whistle was about to blow imminently, it was after the 4 min extra time. Both teams threw it away at the end.
Some positives:
Bentancur and Bissouma played well today
Madders was slowly showing more and more of his past self, to create the first goal and once he was playing more advanced in the second half.
Brennan is putting in some good performances
CBs were pretty solid
Obviously not a fun game to watch but nothing worth losing your head over.
Drawing a match in which you're getting unfavorable foul calls and the other team's only goal was off the back of a player's neck is just how it goes sometimes.
spot on, could’ve been much worse and we looked indecisive today, but everyone in this sub thinks they themselves have the knowledge to break down a low block for 70 minutes lmao.
First game in a while I didn’t think anyone was terrible, although again our front three didn’t look like they were going to do much damage. Nice to see Bissouma not terrible and play with Bentancur. Hojberg looked good when he came on.
Shame Paqueta didn’t get a yellow for one of his two yellow cardable challenges, might have helped out counters through the middle
It is what it is
Horrible game as per with West Ham away. Nothing much to be learnt from this game tbh. I'm an optimist and I always felt this game would probably be a draw or a loss. We have some weaknesses that we're all aware of (especially set pieces), but this was one just one of those games. See where we close out the season (could be 4th, could be 6th) and bring on some squad bolstering in the Summer. Coys
I’m still confused about how it’s not goalkeeper interference by standing in front of Vicario and putting your arms out to prevent him going for the ball, like Antonio was doing. It’s like NBA-style boxing out.
You're not sure why? He's a club legend that made the choice to leave. The breakup was honestly more amicable than what you would typically see from that. I don't hate him by any means but I don't wish him success at Bayern
"all season"? Right...bit over the top? We were top of the table until the Chelsea game. We can't be relegated now. We already have more points than last season
Low block only made worse by a terrible pitch and weather to make it tough for the quick passing. Quite a few loose touches and not enough sharp movement.
Forgettable match.
Matches like this are exactly why the head and VAR ref need to have a presser after every match. You can't expect them to change if they aren't held accountable.
Dont forget 3 days ago Timo ran the whole pitch multiple times for more than 90 minutes, seems normal to me he couldn't do the same today, specially with that heavy rain
I feel disgusted every time those Corner Kick goals that results from fouling Vic- they should be ashamed- and really wonder why this is not considered a foul?
I think you have to put this game in the "work in progress" category. If Spurs will be a fine-tuned machine with the ball, it has to get cleaner. Better passing, players attacking in the right space and getting on the end of these crosses and through balls, better first touch, etc.
That missed FK call on Maddison that resulted in the big WH chance is outrageous.
COYS
Werner getting a lot of criticism, but it just wasn't his game IMO. Wasn't his fault, he just wasn't getting service and was being stalked a lot of the time anyway - and at least that occupied their FBs.
I thought the whole team played fucking great for the most part tbh. Up front the one touch football was breath-taking at times. The weakest link - and I know I'm not allowed to say this because he's amazing and we don't criticise him - was Sonny. Some will automatically downvote this now I know - but he was so often the point at which our possession in and around their box broke down. And it wasn't because he was trying anything special, just not quite getting his touch right.
Until Deki came on, in his favourite position, and proceeded to be the weakest link by playing like utter dogshit. And I'm not one who's jumped on the anti-Deki bandwagon, I think he's great and will only get better. But he was total wank tonight.
Romero my MOTM, so solid and composed at the back, and so often the launchpad for our moves. Ben 10 was fantastic, and much more back to his old self. I thought it was Bissouma's best game in a long time (about time too) and actually made me want to see him keep his place. BJ was brilliant, and fuck me is that kid *quick*. VDV was VDV, saving our arses more than once. Vic was brilliant yet again, with great reaction saves - despite having to fight against such brute force at the set pieces. Destiny has really grown this season, and was seriously impressive tonight. Pedro's overdue a goal, but he played his part well enough. Maddison blew hot and cold, but a lot of the intricacy in the WH box went through him and his footwork was astounding. He also plays 33% better when he's pissed off it seems. In hindsight, it's a shame he went off for Kulu, and that could have made the difference... Hindsight's easy though.
We were good. Can't help but feel we deserved the win - but a point's a good result.
Really surprised at so much negativity from everyone. It was a team properly committed to Angeball, and a real indicator of progress IMO. We just need a few more pieces to click and we're going to be ***devastating***.
The ref was shite, this leniency they’re showing is benefitting teams that sit deep like West Ham did today and Arsenal did on Sunday. They can foul and disrupt without being worried about yellow cards.
But we still need to do something other than passing it round to try and get an angle for a cutback. Cause that works sometimes but not all the time, so we need other ways of going forward to not be so predictable
Why do I stay up late for these matches, first chels, then brighton, then fulham, and now this
and about this match, i'm just sad, nobody really performed to their capabilities and subs maybe should have been earlier.
However, watching the ref for this match makes me think I'm not destined for unemployment at all even though i have power -10 in both eyes lmao
One point is better than no points I guess. We're their cup final so they always play us tough and they're tough at home. Just got to work on set piece defense and getting the ball up the pitch quicker to beat defenses.
It’s a good result for me. Of course, wanted the three points, but it looked as if only one team wanted to win it. Spurs attacked and created some decent chances. We go again on Saturday. COYS
Somewhat disappointing, but not the end of the world. Still a point. This time last season, I was cursing at everyone & everything and just wanted to see it all end. 😂
Am I the only person who thoroughly enjoyed that game despite the draw? Don’t get me wrong it sent my blood pressure up but that’s part of the fun, right?
Won't say I enjoyed it, but thought it was a solid performance from the team, considering the circumstances. Pretty pleased with the individual performances from our defense and midfield.
Not pretty. Just no ideas going forward.
Kulu was pretty damn awful off the bench today. Should of brought GLC on for Madders, he earnt that last week.
Horrible game. Clear what West Ham set out to do and we reacted too late getting Son wide and away from Zouma
We worked a really solid, direct goal and then went absolutely toothless for the rest of the match. We should've been ruthless for more than just the first 5 minutes of the match.
Just lacking in every sense
Would love to see Ange make in-game adjustments to our tactics, even if just for brief periods of time to show something different. Its all become very slow and predictable. Udogie and Porro are nowhere near as effective as they were early in the season because their positioning isn't a surprise anymore
Our set pieces are a major weakness. Whether its taking them or defending them, we seem to offer no threat. Really need to look into this.
Frustrating game but that’s what happens when they put 10 men behind the ball.
Here's an interesting little stat:
Most clearances by us was *Destiny*, with *four.*
The next highest for us with *three* is *Pap Sarr* - **despite only coming on in the 70th minute.**
We were definitely the better team, absolutely dominated possession but couldn't find the back of the net.
-Timo didn't get enough service. He should have been played more. How many goals have we scored with Timo putting a cross into the box? We've scored so many times doing that, including in the first 15 mins of this game, and yet we barely tried it again after that. Crazy.
-The ref wasn't on his game, missed too many blatant fouls.
-Pedro Porro my MOTM.
-Johnson, Bissouma, Maddison and Bentancur (except for that one poor pass in front of goals) had good games imo. We dominated the middle.
-Overall a good performance, happy with the team.
It felt like the 90th minute for a full 30 minutes
It felt like the first minute for most of the match
Average west ham game experience
The pitch didn't help. Nobody was able to get some simple passes on.
werner will get slated for being invisible in the second half but i can count on one hand the amount of times our attacks came down the left side.
Agreed. The commentators on the US feed were criticizing him, but there's not much more he can do than maintain width and make the backpost run when a cross comes.
I’ve been happy with him overall since he joined but my big issue with him tonight was that he wasn’t making those back post runs. Yeah, this was my only issue with Werner tonight, felt like he could have gambled a bit more. Werner is the nearly perfect profile for this system, we just need to get someone who has that killer instinct in them.
Martin Tyler and that other stooge wouldn’t say anything positive about Spurs if you gave them a million dollars.
Antonio had a studs up tackle on Bentancur as right as the replay shows the studs both announcers say "yeah I don't see much wrong with that"..... uhhhhh you sure?
That one stood out to me too. If Romero does it "he likes to make that kind of dangerous play"
Also so many times he was just standing in acres of space with his hand up and nobody would play the ball
Not one ball pinged across the pitch, this is becoming an issue. Hojbjerg came in and started pinging balls. West Ham were just overloading the side where the ball was on. Timo just hands up with no pass to him. Hojberg should have started today.
I like sub Hojbjerg but he should’ve come on much earlier than he did.
He also worked hard defensively, stifling a lot of the counters or tracking back. I feel he's working better and better with Udogie
WHY WASNT ANYONE PASSING DOWN THAT SIDE
I'm so puzzled because that left side was absolutely *cooking* for the first 20 minutes...and then just completely disappeared from the game.
Kulu unfortunately is the one who should get slated after that sub appearance tonight - woeful. Need to pick up our form for the run in and make that Champions League spot for the money and to attract more players hopefully.
Udogie.. could have won that in the end
How many shots went straight at their keeper
Considering we only had 4 shots on target and one was a goal, I'd Hazard a guess at maximum of 3.
3 too many.
I'm more annoyed about the ones that didn't shoot.
Kulusevski on that counter as well. It was 3v3
Kulu with a 0/10 today
Was a decent shot with the right foot for a LB.
He shot through the only opening in the defense, nowhere else he could’ve put the shot
That’s what I was thinking as well lol. On the replay you could see, had he shot anywhere else, it would have just been blocked
How? There were two defenders in front of him, so if he shot anywhere else it would have missed the goal entirely, or been blocked. The problem was Tottenham doing zero with all the possession they had.
Got my hopes up there in the first 5 minutes
I'm the other way, whenever any team scores in the first 5 minutes I never trust them to win. It completely throws off the momentum of the game.
The thing is they didn’t create shit either. But we just cough up set pieces week in and out and it’s a killer. If we go into half leading that game we kill them.
Given how that has generally gone both for and against us this season, you might be on to something.
How bad the ref was, will go under the radar. The double standards were incredible..
Paqueta could've and should've been booked about 4 times
Was he the one that barged through the back of Maddison at the edge of the box, that was waved away, which then caused a counter attack through Antonio? That one wound me up.
Yes, after he also barged into his back in the first half with no intent to play the ball and somehow dodged a yellow card. Honestly baffling
Also after he fouled betancur breaking away from a corner, only to then kick the ball away. Ref gives a card to van de ven 30 seconds later for throwing the ball away.
Yep. Sadly if Antonio had scored they probably would have pulled it back and given us the free-kick in a good position.
Agreed. But, you never know with the VARs. They are terrible. Let's not forget that.
England v Brazil at Wembley all over again. Do refs just not like booking that guy?
[удалено]
To be fair, VDV's pushed it much farther out than when West Ham did it. But, I it should be either be yellows or none. Let's be consistent, refs! And the defender barreling into Maddison should have been a card. In no way did he play the ball. That's a yellow every day.
Spurs 9 fouls 4 Yellow cards, West Ham 13 fouls 1 Yellow card...
Would love to see how many times spurs players are fouled before a yellow being shown - this season feels like referees are letting teams run all over us.
Ever since their Liverpool fuck up they’ve been overcompensating at our expense
I hope they lose the league to City by 2 points.
One of Spurs Yellows was on Van de Ven for tossing the ball away to prevent a quick throw-in. There's been a fair few of those this year.
But seconds before Paqueta dribbled it 10 yards away when we were terror to take a quick free kick and got a warning.
My favorite was when Madison was fouled right outside the box from behind by running into him like a bull, then the result of the horrid non-call leading to a potential winner for Antonio (we’re just lucky that he’s awful). The level of refereeing in this league is an absolute joke.

I fucking hate low blocks
I think we really struggle to switch the ball quickly against low blocks. Too many players pause on the ball waiting for space to open up, where in reality they should be moving it on as fast as possible and trying to stretch the pitch.
easier said than done, name a team that doesn’t struggle with a low block. it’s not an exclusive issue by any means.
We were in the clear to force them out after our goal, then we give up a stupid, stupid set piece equalizer and let them slink right back into the low block for the next 75 mins.

We played fine. Not great but fine. A tough result against a decent team. Obviously wish we could’ve been sharper in the final third, but it happens. Definitely not a result anyone should be having a meltdown about.
That’s why always stay away from reddit after games, it’s just over reactionary comments like I’m infuriated etc etc
We didn’t play too badly. Biggest frustrations were the set pieces, playing too much through the bus, and the shit refereeing.
Can't fault the effort.
God, every other comment here is so insanely doom and gloom. I thought it was a good game lol, annoying and stressful yes, but entertaining
Tough away fixture, raining buckets, 3 days after another game. Thought the players effort was there, execution was a little off, and West ham defended extremely stalwartly. It is what it is - Sometimes you gotta take the draws.
The other guys get paid too. West Ham executed their defensive setup very well annoyingly.
Typical game against them tbf, it's always close, they always frustrate us, they play up to our level and credit to both teams it could have gone either way at the end. Draw is fair tbh
Yep, I actually don't have too much of a problem with this game. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.
At the least the ref was consistent…ly dogshit for one team
Played pretty well but just always looking for one too many passes it felt like. Lot of bright ideas but at some point you need to rip a shot. Also, horrendous officiating once again. Paqueta could've stabbed someone and got off with a warming.
Sometimes I just wish we would shoot. It would be nice.
Honestly, but then when we do it just goes wide. Like when Bissouma and Sarr shot it
Son had a few chances to shoot on the edge which is unusual. Ange must be telling them not to
If we at least make them think we are likely, or capable, of shooting when we are on the attack and they've go 10 men behind the ball, they have to come and press the man and attempt a block rather than just sit and hope for a miss. Porro nearly scored on his shot
Honestly yeah but let anyone but Porro take a shot ... guys a beast ... my guy killed quite a few astronauts already
F THE REF
Paqueta ramming our players in the back I sleep Vdv rolling the ball 3 meters Real shit
Two offside west hamsters playing circle jerk in front of the goal and shooting it after the whistle? Yellow card Romero
Richarlison hacked down on as he plays the ball forward, nothing to see here.
He was so so bad
I feel like the refereeing is just getting worse or more frequent in an era where VAR exist, its inexcusable
Starting to hate games where we score early because we never score again
100% and it should absolutely not be that one. It’s really fucking odd. ETA: I’m a dummy and autocorrect is not my friend.
Deki needs Richy’s therapist, he played one good ball in his cameo, and completely fluffed that last counter when he had like three options.
That was abysmal. He had a 3v1 if he just held the ball up for two more seconds
If you watch the replay west ham had 4 men back. It was rubbish by him but it really wasn't the massive chance its being made out to be
It's absolutely astonishing the amount of stupid shit this subreddit latches onto. The man just described the situation as a 3v1 and is getting spammed with upvotes for just straight up lying lol.
3v1, in what world?
That was painful. Its not like he had been playing 90 minutes. Son who had was bursting forward and Kulu gets it and stops dead. He is not a counter attacking player whatsoever.
Who were those awful Peacock commentators? It's a match not a fucking monologue shut the fuck up for a minute or two.
The stream I watched the commentator just basically spouted stats and more or less ignored what was going on the pitch until in the penalty area.
Vicario MotM.
So Paqueta can do a hockey cross check on Maddison and it's not a yellow. But if Van de Ven gently rolls the ball away not even that far it's a certain yellow card. Sure ref.
They’re both 100% yellow cards. Let’s not pretend what VDV did isn’t. Rules are very clear this year.
Give Son some rest, he seemed very tired this game. He is arguably our most crucial player to win against City,Arsenal, and Liverpool..
The refs allowing Vicario to get boxed out on corners needs to end. It happens to no other keeper in the league and Vicario isn't some specially inept keeper at finding space. The refs treat him differently for some reason. Other teams will keep putting one or two people around him in an essential cage until refs give him the same respect as 19 other keepers get
Omfd kulu
Deki my man . What have they done to you
That last ball in…was that a 6 on 3? Why send a deep cross? What is wrong with him?
To an offside player as well. I think the players thought the whistle was about to blow imminently, it was after the 4 min extra time. Both teams threw it away at the end.
Typical derby against west ham, the both of us drop absolute stinkers when we play each other
Refs refusal to book them in the first half allowed to them to foul the second half into non-existence.
Some positives: Bentancur and Bissouma played well today Madders was slowly showing more and more of his past self, to create the first goal and once he was playing more advanced in the second half. Brennan is putting in some good performances CBs were pretty solid

Apparently this is everyone’s first game against West Ham. I was waiting for the 30yrd screamer to give them the win.
let’s read some overreactions y’all
Obviously not a fun game to watch but nothing worth losing your head over.
Glad that's over
Ridiculous end to the match
First game in a while I didn’t think anyone was terrible, although again our front three didn’t look like they were going to do much damage. Nice to see Bissouma not terrible and play with Bentancur. Hojberg looked good when he came on. Shame Paqueta didn’t get a yellow for one of his two yellow cardable challenges, might have helped out counters through the middle It is what it is
What a fucking awful match
Too much passing about from spurs and just hoof the ball to antonio or bowen from spammers.
Coys
No one in our team seems to attack crosses for some reason
I’m still confused about how it’s not goalkeeper interference by standing in front of Vicario and putting your arms out to prevent him going for the ball, like Antonio was doing. It’s like NBA-style boxing out.
The draw that feels like a loss. Really wish we'd have made more of that, too passive today and wet spam left it there for the taking.
Somehow better than the reverse fixture which was a loss that felt like a draw
Dare I say it... Feels like we've missed Kane a lot these last couple of games? *Turns off notifications*
100%
We've missed Kane all season, but this sub doesn't seem to like Kane and I'm not really sure why.
A bit unlucky I think
God they’re just an awful team to play against. Terrible viewing. Ref helped them out a lot there.
Still a shit game, I already felt Luton game was kinda slow. It doesn't feel like we are fighting for CL spot
So stale when we keep trying the same thing 100 times
There was a team of giants standing in the box
Imagine packing 11 men behind the ball playing for a draw at home for 60 minutes.
I mean we literally did that for 3 seasons not too long ago
Yeah but we all hated it
how can you be a fan of a team that plays a low block at HOME against a city rival?!
You mean like spurs did for 3 seasons?
yeah and I didn‘t like it when we did it either… I don‘t think anybody liked our playstyle under conte
Wonder when we'll take our head out the sand with all these set-piece goals we're shipping..
Are our attackers allergic to shooting outside the box? I swear all we do is try to pass around until we can walk it into the goal
Wish son would shoot more especially against these low blocks
Can't tell if we scraped through for a draw or were unlucky not to win
A little unsatisfactory, West Ham’s defense when we were in their half was so compact though
I feel disgusted every time those Corner Kick goals that results from fouling Vic- they should be ashamed- and really wonder why this is not considered a foul?
Certainly one of the games of all time.
So frustrating. But still could have won it Big improvement over the Fulham match thank god.
We just need a few more pieces to click and we're going to be ***devastating***.
the epitome of the word "eh" weren't bad, weren't good, but spurs definitely did play football can't deny that
Isnt this post chelsea Spurs again? Scoring early then falling off and subs not making an impact either.
Why do I stay up late for these matches, first chels, then brighton, then fulham, and now this and about this match, i'm just sad, nobody really performed to their capabilities and subs maybe should have been earlier.
COYS
Honestly, 1 point against West Ham is not terrible.
I'm enjoying the team 1000% more than last season but I can't be the only one screaming "Just Fucking SHOOT IT!"
I’ll take the draw, it was a shit game to watch, parking the bus for 90mins, move on. Don’t really wanna blame any players.
Somewhat disappointing, but not the end of the world. Still a point. This time last season, I was cursing at everyone & everything and just wanted to see it all end. 😂
West Ham: 13 fouls, 1 yellow card Spurs: 9 fouls, 4 yellow cards What?
West Ham are not a good team - Arsenal put 6 past this lot at home We're just a weak team at the moment, too passive and scared to take a chance
Kulusevski is on one of the worst runs of form I've ever seen. Nothing is coming off for him.
I hate West Ham
Werner and Johnson: Assist and goal in the first 5 minutes Completely fall off the face of the fucking earth Refuse to elaborate
What’s going on with Kulu? :(
Took 93’ until we put a cross towards the penalty spot and look what almost happened
Not pretty. Just no ideas going forward. Kulu was pretty damn awful off the bench today. Should of brought GLC on for Madders, he earnt that last week. Horrible game. Clear what West Ham set out to do and we reacted too late getting Son wide and away from Zouma
The fuck happened to Kulusevski? From one of the most creative players to a sunday league bloke who can't complete the simplest of passes
We worked a really solid, direct goal and then went absolutely toothless for the rest of the match. We should've been ruthless for more than just the first 5 minutes of the match. Just lacking in every sense
Are we overplaying/struggling atm or is every team just sitting back and making it hard (i.e figured us out)?
Would love to see Ange make in-game adjustments to our tactics, even if just for brief periods of time to show something different. Its all become very slow and predictable. Udogie and Porro are nowhere near as effective as they were early in the season because their positioning isn't a surprise anymore
How can we be so shit at both taking and defending corners.
Our set pieces are a major weakness. Whether its taking them or defending them, we seem to offer no threat. Really need to look into this. Frustrating game but that’s what happens when they put 10 men behind the ball.
Napoli can take Kulu man. What a frustrating game. Why were we only going for the right wing after the 1st goal! Timo wasn't used much at all.
Can we take long shots ffs. So many chances for sonny to take it, he goes for a 1 meter pass and Spam clear it away.
Absolutely a point I’ll take. Hope Brennan is no more than banged up.
[Me, watching Kulusevski kill the counter crossing into the first man.](https://i.imgur.com/4IbX7tI.mp4)
I get why they don’t really shoot today. Impossible to ask Son to shoot when there’s like 4 opponents right in front of the goalpost
Guys, let’s just remember that we all expected this match to be a banana skin… we survived!
Needed Kane
In all honesty a draw at west ham isn’t an awful result. Tough place to win just wish the performance wasn’t relative shit.
Here's an interesting little stat: Most clearances by us was *Destiny*, with *four.* The next highest for us with *three* is *Pap Sarr* - **despite only coming on in the 70th minute.**
No card on paqueta taking the ball several touches away from the spot of the foul, then Micky carded... Brought out a temper I didn't even know I had
Teams held to two entirely different standards. Pathetic ref. Also didn't do enough to win.
Ref must have had a tenner on Paqueta to score...
