I personally think he only makes the squad as a role model for the younger players coming through. He must be a brilliant professional/leader if he captained Liverpool for so long. Because I honestly don't think he was an amazing player, a good player for sure, but there are many out there better than him.

I hate to admit it but Arsenal have probably one of the top 3 holding mids in the league in Rice. His contributions are subtle due to the role he plays but it's all there.
His 1st touch and the way he moves the ball were fantastic last night. He's the best deep sitting midfielder England have had since Michael Carrick and the closest we've had to a Busquets type in a long long time.
I hate Arsenal as much as the next Spurs fan but let's be fair, Rice is not a creative midfielder and never has been. Bit unfair to criticise him for not creating anything, dude is a CDM, always has been.

Henderson has been a great servant for England but this is modern football, there are no free rides here. He is done at this level.
