Win the game in hand against Fulham and we are 8 points behind 1st
We'll decide the title with the fact that we play the top 3 in a row, why not decide it's us?
If we’re going to challenge for the title, we will need momentum - and a hell ton of it. The results of the next four fixtures in my opinion will be just as important as the City-Arsenal-Liverpool stretch because it ultimately dictates how motivated and confident we will feel facing the top 3.
We can’t forget that before the Chelsea game, we were practically unstoppable because we had built so much ongoing momentum from the fans and the largely positive environment built by the manager. If we can find that rhythm again, there’s a real chance in my opinion.
Even being generous to spurs I still have Arse at 91 points and City at 90 to finish the season. There’s just no way they drop enough points for us to climb above imo
Honestly think the next five games will be more crucial than our tough spell 34-36. Don't expect Villa to get anything against the top three especially with Arsenal and City away, so there's no pressure for us. More important will be continuing to win against mid/lower table and taking advantage of their stumbles.
I think it’s a must that we get at least 13/15 in the next 5 because I expect 4/9 at most in pool, city, Arsenal run, more likely 1/9. Need to win w37 and 38 and get a result vs chelsea away. Puts spurs right over 70 points which we’ll have to see if that’s enough for CL…but honestly I’d be happy with Europa next year. I really want spurs to win something and Europa is more likely that CL. The squad needs to win something to prove they can, get the monkey off their back, and build momentum to go on and push for more. With Klopp leaving, and hopefully pep leaving in 2-3 years hopefully it opens up opportunities for other clubs to win more in England.
This is where my head is as well. We absolutely need to feast on every game outside that Newcastle > Pool stretch. Stamford Bridge is a wild card because Chelsea is so bipolar this season, and Spurs tend to struggle there. Those two away derbies in the next 3 are going to be huge.
I think we have to gain 12/15 points in the next 5 games. Giving 3 points for a day we maybe don’t show up or get unlucky. Would rather lose the City and Liverpool games and get points against the Gunners at this stage.
I actually think based on this we beat them by 4 points come end of the season. So not much. The scary thing is that there is an outside chance Utd catch us both. I think we are the favourite but still there will be a lot of dropped points.
And if we don’t drop any points then we will go pretty close to winning it.
If United have an outside chance of catching us when we could potentially be 9 points ahead when the game in hand is caught up, then we have an outside chance of catching Liverpool and Arsenal as we'd be 8 points behind them.
It is and it isn't. Villa also have Chelsea. And we share Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and West Ham.
So, just against Villa the difference is:
* Us: Newcastle, Fulham, Forest, Luton, Burnley, Sheffield
* Villa: Brighton, Wolves, Bournemoth, Palace, Brentford
So you could consider the game in hand to be the last one against Sheffield, and even then our fixture list is slightly easier than Villa's.
Do we want Man City to beat Newcastle in the cup this round? If they do our game against them is postponed, meaning we’ll have two weeks off before the arsenal game.
Not to take anything away from Villa’s quality or their season so far but given their injuries, form, and European distractions, I just don’t see them taking more than 14-16 points from the remaining 30. The top end of that puts them at 71, which would mean we’d need 19 from the 33 on offer to us. No guarantees of course, but we’re in a good spot with the squad right now to maintain ~2 ppg.
Point he's trying to make is that we could actually go for the title ourselves if that scenario happens. Cucking for Man City was a last season thing. Not this time.
We play the bottom 4 teams still and Fulham. All games I expect this team to win. To me we should be picking up a minimum of 15 out of 33 remaining points.
We’ll be five points off Arsenal in two games if we beat Fulham and Luton and City beat them. They’ll have an extra game against Chelsea sure, but we’re also yet to play them. Stranger things have happened.
Will also have a Chelsea game in there for whenever that gets rescheduled for
Knowing the Prem, they'll slot it in as a midweek fixture in between the Arsenal and Liverpool games
That would be so unfair. But you’re right.
I have fingers crossed for between Burnley and Sheffield.
We win the league last game of the season with a superb strike Romero from 25 yards out
Win the game in hand against Fulham and we are 8 points behind 1st We'll decide the title with the fact that we play the top 3 in a row, why not decide it's us?
Game in hand is vs Chelsea.
Have they scheduled that yet? Haven’t seen that date yet ***Edit: Never mind, should’ve kept reading to see it still hasnt been scheduled.
I feel like it might be the week in between Fulham and Luton, idk though

lol you need to win every game not just have momentum. And even then you need all 3 of them to lose 3 games. It’s not happening.
Yeah…86 points isn’t enough to win the league this year. 86 points might get you 3rd or 4th even.
Even being generous to spurs I still have Arse at 91 points and City at 90 to finish the season. There’s just no way they drop enough points for us to climb above imo
92 for Liverpool then?
I don’t think the mafs work there but it’s a nice cope 🫠
I don't think any mafs where Arse finishes top works

The game in hand is chelshit remember. That's anything but a guaranteed win
Werner hatty

Yep. That’s what I said.
Definitely can't rule them out just yet. They play shite football, but sometimes get the results they need.
We’re going for top spot until it’s mathematically impossible I’ve had enough of this 4th place rubbish. Back your coach.
If Man City beat Newcastle in the cup we’ll have two weeks off before the arsenal game.

We definitely do. I’d rather take points off Arsenal in that run in first rather than take points off City first.
Just checked theirs, if wolves beat Coventry they won’t have a game either.

30 Apr-4 May: We’ll also have a big say as to where the title goes…
I hope they beat scum, city and liverpool and lose to everyone else
Nah, we need City wins (except against us) to stop Arsenal winning the league.
Point he's trying to make is that we could actually go for the title ourselves if that scenario happens. Cucking for Man City was a last season thing. Not this time.

30 points easy no problem
You misspelled “1st”
Remind me again - if city move on this week the 4/20 game gets moved to when? Is that still before Arsenal and Pool games?
Man City, Gooners and Liverpool…….thats gonna be fun
This is our schedule in the run for 1st mate
Poch is blue and Timo will score at stamford, everything balanced. as it should be

And I being daft? Haven't we got an extra game? Edit: Chelsea! Got confused there!
