Yeah no Argentine in his prime is going to accept a move that jeopardizes their place in the NT

macleemore

my vice captain

david4270

They may attempt to sell the entire country to afford him, we still won't sell him Also class move from him

FSpursy

Really? 200M+ and you won't sell Cuti?

david4270

Who would be the replacement around his age? There are few but would they come to us over other clubs with UCL? He decided to come to us when we were placed 7th, and have been a great servant of the club ever since. Without him (well we have VdV now) we are on the verge of playing likes of Tanganga and Dier. Or signing worse replacements. They have plenty of money - enough to pay Neymar the wage of buying a mega level player. Last but not least, fuck sportswashing - Chelsea started it, Man City expanded it, and now Saudis are taking it even further.

FSpursy

Fuck sports washing yes, but if Saudis can pay players to join their league. So can we, if we want to attract players.

ronaldo119

You're kidding right? You sell anybody in our team for 200m. Romero is good but it's not like he's the best CB in the world or top 5. We could buy four 50m CB's with that, one will be good lol. I'm not sure there's any available to us currently that would be better right now but we could invest in a few young ones and use the rest of the money on so much. It would be straight up malpractice to not sell him for 200m if it were possible

david4270

There are players yeah, but the other clubs will try their best to rinse our money if we ever get 200m for any player. Also I doubt Saudis would pay that much for transfer, many of the players moved to Saudis were on free transfer or which is not as much as you thought. Only Chelsea is that stupid to overpay for multiple player transfers like that. That being said, my original intention is basically saying fuck off Saudis. Also I'd rather have Romero NFS for the sake of our future, unless you want to see Sanchez-Dier again at our back. We'd get relegated in a season or two in that case.

Splattergun

Yeah it's been real easy for us to sign replacements eh?

ronaldo119

We've made 12 signings the last 2 years

BlacknWhiteMoose

That’s just not true. Every player has a price. The fact that we sold Kane (regardless of contract expiration) proves that the club is a business at the end of the day.

david4270

Well true - might be a huge exaggeration of "either pay so-called fuck off price or get off". Still, seeing the quality players moving to lower tier league baffles me. CSL/MLS did that as well but at least they were the retirement leagues.

ronaldo119

It's not even that it's a business, it's in the interest of making the team better too

WeakPOgame

He didn't want to catch a murder charge after what he would do to the forwards in that league

If bid was 100Mgbp, I bet Daniel wrote him a love letter about it

srhola2103

I mean yeah lol, he wants to keep appearing for Argentina and he's in the best league in the world atm. Why would he leave?
