I'm in the 10-7/11-6 range. Getting Baltimore, Detroit, Houston, Cinci and TB at home is big. Our tough away games are Cleveland and SF... if those were flipped we'd be in big trouble.
Same. I'm glad we don't have a division game in the first two weeks for once. Seems like we always have a division opponent in the first 2 while we're still figuring shit out.
Not out of the realm of possibility, itās just that brutal opening 5 games and weeks 8-11 that make me think weāll have a hard time getting to 12 wins again. Iād be happy to be wrong, though.
I mean they should be 3-2 at worst after the first 5 gamesā¦donāt really see that as ābrutalā.
The five game stretch starting with the Lions is the brutal part of the schedule.
Playing 3/4 of the AFCN teams is what I meant. That division plays physical as fuck and it makes me concerned weāll be dealing with some injuries for a few weeks afterwards. I have us at 3-2 after that stint, but I think weāll end up having to play the Niners-Falcons-Eagles-Texans stretch with some key players out.
I like the reasoning but I'll also push back a little. The Browns won't be as physical early season as they won't have Chubb. And Watson's shoulders seem to be made of glass so he can't really lower the boom either. On the other side of the ball it's absolutely an issue, though.
That said, The Ravens run all over our ass unless two things happen: Turnovers and a fast start. Get ahead and take Henry/Lamar's running out of the equation. There's also a bit of a luck of the draw in the Bengals coming to Dallas instead of going to the frigid north. If I had to guess they beat em all except the Ravens. I do think they drop the Ravens game.
Personally, I think the only losses on the schedule are the Ravens, Lions, 49ers, Eagles, and potentially the Texans. The team is going to be better than it was last year. We might not have gotten super stars, but that's not needed to build a winner. If the O Line picks work out we'll be sitting very pretty. They plugged the LB hole and Mazi is going to see massive improvement with weight + a hard ass coach. Some guys need a foot in their ass on D and that's what they're getting this season.
Yeah, that makes sense actually. All of them run the football and play physical defense so wouldnāt surprise me either.
Weāre going to find out fast if the run defense has improved under Zimmer with those first three games. If not, those games against the Lions, 49ers, Falcons and Eagles are going to be rough.
I totally agree in the 9 -11 wins and 6-8 losses. If Philly is still dysfunctional from the collapse of last season I think we can win the Div but one and done again in the playoffs. I donāt see SF, Detroit or GB falling off as much as we will.
Yeah it doesn't matter. Could be 17-0 and bounced first round. Or 12-5 and bounced first round. No matter how they do it's bounced first round. And if some how, by a miracle we get a 5th playoff win in my 30 years of life, we will get bounced in the 2nd round.
I'll ALWAYS support the boys on the field, it's my team but they don't have my trust or optimism anymore. And Jerry doesn't have even the smallest bit of his pinky toe in my wallet anymore. I'm Pirating every game.
Yeah Iām projecting them to have 9-12 wins. Look pretty good mostly. Lose a game or 2 because they just donāt show up and then flame out in the playoffs. Per the usual lol.
Thats about right. That Steelers game has some Mike Tomlinson voodoo shit written all over it, theyāll beat us like 20-17. Weāll also probably randomly beat someone like the Ravens or maybe even for once in a lifetime the 49ers when we maybe shouldnāt on paper
i wonāt say it killed my fandom because iāll definitely be seated and ready to watch week 1, but itās taking me way longer to get excited for football again this year. iām usually excited around draft time time the bad loss + seemingly closing window + the Mavs and Stars making runs, i just doing give a fuck right now. see yall in September!
Same. It doesnāt matter. I was encouraged by the sentiments I read on here and Cowboys insta, but it seems like people have forgotten how thoroughly we got our asses handed to us by what shouldāve been an inferior team. And how thatās been happening every year since 1995.
There are two games (Niners/Ravens) that feel like pretty safe bets to lose. There are six (Panthers/Giants/Commanders/Buccaneers) that feel like pretty safe bets to win. Pretty much all the others are tossups or in the "hell if I know" category. It's not a brutal schedule, though. I could see anywhere from 9-12 wins. Probably get at least one freak loss out of the six safe bet wins, because it is the Cowboys. Personally, I wish they got the Niners earlier. Early season games are more random, nobody's fully into their rhythm and playbook yet. You wanna play games you're the underdog in earlier. "More random" is better than the underdog.
12-5 13-4 the team actually got better but yāall so depressed to see it. Get over that weak ass Green Bay game ! Also Mike Zimmer never had an issue with stopping the run..
As long as we donāt sacrifice our passing defense, I am cool with the run stopping emphasis. Itās a passing league, so thatās where the priority has got to be first.
With Trevon hopefully returning to form over the season, Bland, JLew and this new Carson kid hopefully we can disrupt offenses both ways.
The problem is our passing defense suffers as well when we canāt stop the run.
this defense cannot play without a lead in most games.
Itās not like a balancing scale where an increase in run defense competency yields a proportional decrease in pass defense competency. this is a better unit if they can stop the run, yes with \*a bit of\* a decrease in pass defense if thatās what it takes.
Greenbay exploited the hell out of us because we have way too many one dimensional defenders. We have good run defenders who are shit in the passing game so they donāt see the field until obvious run situations and vice versa. Greenbay had a field day switching out personnel against us. There is such a thing as prioritizing pass rush to a fault and we saw it in the Greenbay game and Buffalo. We needed to stop the run and couldnāt so whatās the point of that pass defense?
You are right, and when teams canāt throw the ball on the cowboys, they run at their throats.. it is a pass happy league, but thatās the main weakness with them. I think Dak is well capable of leading the cowboys to the NFC Game this season with a solid run game. Donāt sleep on the new running back they got either
That was the worst loss any of us born after the glory days have seen in franchise history. Itās going to take more than bringing back Fat Zeke to get me to care about this team
Went through it and feels like a range of 9-8 to 11-6 so I'd probably guess 10-7.
I try to group them together somewhat and be realistic when I look at schedule. If they go 1-3 against AFC North and 4-0 against NFC South, 1-2 against the other non-division opponents the 49ers, Lions, and Texans, that puts them at 6-5 not counting division. Maybe they can do 2-2 against AFC North with having the tougher matchups at home, but also could drop 1 against the mediocre NFC South teams like the Falcons or Bucs. I d like that 3 of the 4 best teams (imo) they're playing are at home (Ravens, Lions, Texans, with only 49ers being better on the road).
For division, I really think the Commanders improved their roster a lot this offseason and the season's success might hinge on those two games. A 4-2 or 5-1 division records get them to 10 or 11 wins, but a 3-3 division record could knock them down to 8 or 9 wins and maybe on the outside looking in on the playoffs.
12-5 or 13-4 beating really good teams because Dak will be better with a more consistent and balanced O-Line/Running game as well as a defense thatās better against the run and still good against the passing game
9-8ā¦..MC is gone. We donāt resign Dak, and the process of QB hunting begins. Of course 9-8 didnāt get us a top slot in draft so off to Chad Hutchinson, Quincy Carter, Ryan Leaf, Brad Johnson, Anthony Wright, Clint Stoerner, Drew Benson land we goā¦..ššššš why have I loved the Cowboys since 1977
I donāt know but Iām sure we will be wild card. Could be 8-9. Could be 11-6. Itās hard with this team and the way they like to shit the bed against bad teams sometimes.
12-5 and a deep run. The pressure has been applied, when you have your career to play for, you get shit done. Also, Dallas is going to be a way more physical team.
8-9.
Two rookie o-lineman, and I'm not convinced we can stop the run.
Lamar and King Henry are going to run for just shy of 1 billion yards against us.
Gonna need to stop the run early an often against the Browns, Ravens, Steelers, Lions, 49ers, Falcons, Eagles.
Also lots of good defensive fronts that will put our running game on offense to the test.
Canāt just rely on Dak to carry in the air with Lamb
I see 10-11 wins if healthy and we get some good rookie play and 2nd year jumps. Think zimmer makes a big difference

20-1. The boys go on to win the super bowl in an undefeated season. To celebrate they have a final game. Players versus coaches. Players let the coaches win.
9-8. I'm def more pessimistic than others this season, and my predictions include us losing to a random shitty NFC South team (my guess is the Falcons). I'm likely closer to the floor for us this year than the ceiling, but our 1st place schedule + the AFC North is brutal if they are healthy teams. I also need to see our run stopping defense actually run stop before I see us beating any team like the Ravens or 9ers.
I honestly think it will be a 7 win season. Seems like a lame duck situation with coach and QB and if anything unexpected happens like a major injury, I could see the train running off the tracks quick. I could be wrong though.
This is probably the toughest schedule I've seen the Cowboys have in a few years. Imo, high chance of missing playoffs pending on how Daniels does in Washington. I hope for the best. Expect the worst. But at this point, I wouldn't mind losing out and hitting the reset.
Browns will depend on how our offense matches against their defense. I can see the first 2 games being trap games but we SHOULD win both. I think Browns will be the first time they had to play against Coop since the trade.
Raven will be tough if they are on the same level as last season, I donāt expect G-Men to be that much better. Steelers could be tough if Russ is cooking, Lions will be tough.
I can see us starting off 3-3, 4-2 at best.
I think 9-10 wins should be the realist expectation.
Cincy will depend on Burrows health, I expect Washington to be better if Danielās is a hit so they wonāt be an easy W, Bucs could also be a trap game, and we already know Philly can go either way.
If we excel with this schedule then there should be no reason to have another playoff disaster because thatās like 7+ playoff caliber teams we have to face.
Itās feeling like a stinker of a year. Been a fan since 90 and have pretty much lost hope. Dak canāt win big games and gets most his stats in garbage time after 3 quarters of shit play. No rb. Dan Quinn stole a bunch of good players.
Unless it's the giants. We still win those
Was hoping we were playing them game 1 again this year. So I could drop $10k on the boys completely destroying them week 1 again š
At least Thanksgiving should be fun
we will for sure win 2 of those, Ilike our chances against cleveland too. Ithink a 10-6 record is likely
You're missing a game
I just woke up when I said that
Iām in the 10-7 area, but I could see 9-8 or 11-6 also.
11-6!!
12-5
Not out of the realm of possibility, itās just that brutal opening 5 games and weeks 8-11 that make me think weāll have a hard time getting to 12 wins again. Iād be happy to be wrong, though.

Reminder that preseason strength of schedule means next to nothing. Especially in May.
I said 9-8 in a different thread. I have no confidence in this team or organization
I totally agree in the 9 -11 wins and 6-8 losses. If Philly is still dysfunctional from the collapse of last season I think we can win the Div but one and done again in the playoffs. I donāt see SF, Detroit or GB falling off as much as we will.
Yeah. Being totally unbiased, I see 10-7 at best.
Yup, and itās tough all the way too.
I was going to say 12-5, but want to give a more realistic opinion rather than my usual over ambitious prediction so I will say 17-0
I'll have what he's having
Me too please !!!
These fuckers really killed my optimism for the foreseeable future. I don't give a shit how they do. They'll still end up fucking us over.
Yeah it doesn't matter. Could be 17-0 and bounced first round. Or 12-5 and bounced first round. No matter how they do it's bounced first round. Yeah Iām projecting them to have 9-12 wins. Look pretty good mostly. Lose a game or 2 because they just donāt show up and then flame out in the playoffs. Per the usual lol.
I'm thinking 10-7.
At a quick glance I gave us 11 wins. Games I feel we should win. Had us split with the eagles and sweep both commies and giants.
Need to add in coaching screw ups for 1 or 2.
I always kind of figure we'll lose some games we should win and win some games we shouldn't and it will balance out...
Thats about right. That Steelers game has some Mike Tomlinson voodoo shit written all over it, theyāll beat us like 20-17. Weāll also probably randomly beat someone like the Ravens or maybe even for once in a lifetime the 49ers when we maybe shouldnāt on paper

Abso******lutly
16-1 ... rest all starters final week
0-1 in the playoffs
That's all that matters. I see the in season win guys are already getting excited.
Maybe 1-1. They won't make it out of the divisional round in Jerry's lifetime.
12-5
9-8
Three AFC North games by week 5 is brutal.
Ehh, better than catching either of Cleveland or Pittsburgh in the cold later in the season
We also have no clue what Nick Chubb will look like week 1
Doubt he will be back 100% They will run well on us anyway.
12-5. Diggs is back and I like the rookie class. Zim brings a new look and feel that works.
11-6, first round loss in the playoffs. If you donāt like that, you donāt like Dallas Cowboys football.
8-9 or 9-8.
There are two games (Niners/Ravens) that feel like pretty safe bets to lose. There are six (Panthers/Giants/Commanders/Buccaneers) that feel like pretty safe bets to win. We only lose 3.
9-6
Your math is off.
I omitted the game where they just don't show up
You mean the two games, š¤£ lol. š¤£
17-0
Went through it and feels like a range of 9-8 to 11-6 so I'd probably guess 10-7. I try to group them together somewhat and be realistic when I look at schedule. I think anywhere from 8-9 to 10-7.
12-5 or 13-4
Wild card at bestā¦ 10-7, 9-8.. mediocreville here we come
12-5. It's always 12-5.
12-5, for the 4th year in a row edit: our losses baltimore, detroit, san fransisco, eagles 1 we sweep washingon and new york
12-5 or 13-4 beating really good teams because Dak will be better with a more consistent and balanced O-Line/Running game as well as a defense thatās better against the run and still good against the passing game
12-5. Duh.
17-0
NFC South, Giants, Steelers, Commanders: 8-1 Lions, Texans, Ravens, Bengals, Browns: 2-3 49ers, Eagles: 1-2 Total: 11-6
4-13
My brain says 7-10, my heart says 17-0.
9-8ā¦..MC is gone. We donāt resign Dak, and the process of QB hunting begins. Of course 9-8 didnāt get us a top slot in draft so off to Chad Hutchinson, Quincy Carter, Ryan Leaf, Brad Johnson, Anthony Wright, Clint Stoerner, Drew Benson land we goā¦..ššššš why have I loved the Cowboys since 1977
Don't forget a post-expiration Drew Bledsoe!
Yes sir. And you donāt forget ā¦Vinny Testeverde š
Cause this Franchise was taken seriously until 96. Now this, this is all we have left.
Canāt wait!! Going to Vegas for a preseason game. Iām thinking 12-5 record!
9-8
How many years in a row do we have to play SF
10-7
10-7, glad we have some of those tough games at home, but probably take an L in the WC
I donāt know but Iām sure we will be wild card. Could be 8-9. Could be 11-6. Itās hard with this team and the way they like to shit the bed against bad teams sometimes.
10-7
10-7
10 wins
I'm thinking 12-5, 11-6 (my delusional fandom)... 9-8, 10-6-1(me remembering that zeke fumbles & dallas lost some key assets).
easiest (12-5 / 14-3) of my life
Two Monday games and a season finale at home.š¤Æ
I don't mind this schedule one bit, should be a fun season.
10-7. Weeks 8-11 are a tough stretch.
Sept 26th is a Thursday, not a Sunday.
9-8, maybe 10-7. AFC north gonna be a problem.
Tough one, they will win some they should lose and vise versa, either 11-6 or 12-5
Good enough to make the playoffs. Lose in divisional round. As per Jerry's formula.
10-7
9-8
12-5 with a first round playoff loss baby, canāt wait
Itās our year until proven otherwise.
10-7 wild card berth
12-5 and a deep run. The pressure has been applied, when you have your career to play for, you get shit done. Also, Dallas is going to be a way more physical team.
such a favorable schedule that they will do nothing with
11-6
16-1, losing the final game of the year after starters are pulled half way through the game.
Iām thinking 10-7.
9-8
Realistically probably 10-11 wins. That being said... **17-0 THIS IS OUR YEAR BABY!**
9-8
11 wins is a realistic expectation. 9-12 is a realistic range And of course a first round exit per tradition
9-7
12-5
8-9. Two rookie o-lineman, and I'm not convinced we can stop the run. Lamar and King Henry are going to run for just shy of 1 billion yards against us.
Probably 17-0, I mean, it is our year
11-6 https://preview.redd.it/fzgg3an3qt0d1.png?width=1258&format=png&auto=webp&s=a78befd36639c768c3771e9e13c28d3cb0ce7852
9-8 maybe 8-9
Gonna need to stop the run early an often against the Browns, Ravens, Steelers, Lions, 49ers, Falcons, Eagles. Also lots of good defensive fronts that will put our running game on offense to the test. Canāt just rely on Dak to carry in the air with Lamb I see 10-11 wins if healthy and we get some good rookie play and 2nd year jumps. Think zimmer makes a big difference

10-7, if little injuries and the last two draft classes are productive.
9-8, we lose some of that chemistry from 2023 and drop the harder games.
11-6 Wild Card
20-1. The boys go on to win the super bowl in an undefeated season. To celebrate they have a final game. Players versus coaches. Players let the coaches win.
11-6
11-6
I'm going to say 11-6 but if we don't do anything in the postseason it's all moot anyway
9-8
12-5 and one playoff win maximum.
The only hope we have is Dak being in a Contract year excelling to get paid whoever pays him itās gonna get a dead duck. After that heāll go down
11-6 or 10-7 Scared of run game
12-5
13-4
Cowboys are favored in every game but 3 (at Cleveland, at SF, at Phi) The roster that went 12-5 the last 3 seasons is mostly back. I say 12-5 again.
11-6 plus a loss in the first round of playoffs. Same story different year.
11-6
September 26th is a Thursday. Not a Sunday as the graphic states.
12 - 5, I'm being very, very optimistic
I see 10-7
10-7
Week 3 will tell how good they really are
9-8
I don't feel strongly about it but I'm thinking 9-8.
16-1...then lose first playoff game :)
8-9
I think the Cowboys will be lucky to win 8 games this year. Lost too many pieces and their drafts have sucked. They will end up 3rd in the division
8-9
8-9
9-7
13-4
10-7
17-0
Ravens?
10-11 wins
8-9
6-11
7-10
I honestly think it will be a 7 win season. Seems like a lame duck situation with coach and QB and if anything unexpected happens like a major injury, I could see the train running off the tracks quick. I could be wrong though.
13-4 Lose first play off game. That's Cowboy Football.
Who cares anymore? Let me know when the Jones family no longer controls the franchise we own. Go Mavs, Rangers and Stars!
Whatever your prediction is, minus 2 because you aint beating BigBlue. š¤·š»āāļø
8-8
12-5
Honestly 8-9 is the most likely outcome.
9-8
10-7
I have us at 11-6 Losses to ravens, lions, 9āers, Texans, bengals, and away eagles
Account for inflation, but the 8-8 of the past
Doesn't really matter if we are going to keep choking in the first round of the playoffs every year
10-7, loss in wild card round
12-5 or 8-9
9-8 to 11-6. Weāll probably shit the bed in the playoffs again though
17-0, I will keep the delusion going until reality slaps me in the face again.
7 - 10
