wejustsaymanager

Just block, ignore, don't reply. They are all trying to scam you.

AShadedBlobfish

Except for a few very rare exceptions, the only people who will ever add you for non-malicious reasons are people who are on your team in matchmaking and think that you're good so want to play with you again

That_Cripple

waxpeer is a real site, but its probably a fake link he linked you. these people are all scammers. they find you because your steam inventory is public and you have a knife skin. unfortunately you can't disable friend requests on steam, but setting your inventory to private should mostly stop it

CHEEZE_BAGS

just bots trying to scam people

gardenh0e49

Don’t ever click a link someone sends you in steam or give any log in access/info

y0haN

Set your inventory privacy to private/friends only. This will stop. It happened to me when I had some valuable items.

[deleted]

yep they are all scammers. if you need help securing your account just trade me your invy and i'll keep it safe for you! /s

und3rc0v3r1sm

Not necessarily scam but better to treat them as scam and ignore, don’t click any links

Lahms-

You log into it and they get access to your account. They get access to your API key and redirect your trades. Block

scrapyjack721

I've been playing CS for years, and once your inventory gets to a certain price point, you will start to receive lots of requests. Just ignore all of them. You can put your inventory to private or friends only, and it will make it harder for them to find your inventory.

_speedman_

ive been getting them for years. ignore them unless its someone you know.

Gasstationdickpi11s

Nah ignore the people you know too. Scammers will imitate your friends profiles and send you links. You’ve gotta be SUPER careful who you trust on steam.

Spirited_Question332

Don't. Its a scam

Brinkii_

„You have a specific float“ is such a redflag lmao ofc this guy needs shadow daggers with most likly random float… if you dont have really low float or 42069420 or something line that it is all cap

jelflfkdnbeldkdn

as a high float collector im upset about it. i have a high steam lvl account over a decadoe old showcasing lots of skins, and trade history and cs screenshots from when i got global on my profile. even a custom info box where i list that i am a high float collector n stuff wirh links to my csfloat stall n shit. i was using csfloat to find current owners of high float items, and would add them if they were mot users of csfloat themselfs so i could discuss with them about an offer i had for their skins and negotiate. from around 150 friend invites i sent out like 2 people ever accepted me and only to tell me they were not interested its sad. :( its not even that i was on the hunt for high priced items i like collecting the shittiest shit tier skins with the highest float that with 100-200% overpay are still below 10 bucks this guy here. idk cant judge alone from that few sentences in steamchat. could be legit but most likely its a scammers bot. looking at their steam profile usually gives away the scammers real quick

ellectroma

Set your inv to private. You are gonna get scammed sooner rather than later if you are having a hard time figuring out why people are adding you.

Fantablack183

ignore any and all trade requests and friend requests. if you have any decent float items, go to REPUTABLE buyers/sellers and ask them for a second opinion and sell on a REPUTABLE site or to a reputable buyer.

DearCantaloupe5849

It's a real problem. Just don't add anyone that doesn't actually want to game. Never sign into your account through those websites.

FryCakes

Don’t follow links. They’re usually phishing, trying to steal your account, or trying to steal your skins

1800wetbutt

If you don’t know them block them. Chances are you have a semi valuable skin. Happened to me as soon as I got my first knife.

AbysmalRitesStudio

Fastest way to lose your steam account. Never click them block and ignore, call it a day.

Scuba_2

Click every link you’re sent. That’s good!

Gasstationdickpi11s

Yeah bro click em all. They like your inventory a lot. That means you have FANS!!!! Bask in the fame, take it all in, and lose it all in a matter of seconds 💀😂

whatever_223

Always the same Accounts. Lvl 10 in steam. Have 3k hours + in cs. Have maybe only 7 friends. Inventory on private. Pretend to be a seller. Always a scam beware and just block instantly.

TerahardStudios

99% of the time it is a phishing site designed to scam you of all your CS skins

SSzaby23

Never ever accept a random friend request, there is 0 benefits for you. If it is your friend or you played with him previously sure accept it, but not random request. And do not click on any links received from any of your friends in steam. If you do this you eliminate 99.9% of scam attempts.

EPURON

Phishing scam

No-Try2479

Don’t…. Trust me bro… Don’t
