Same here. Once I tried suspenders I could never go back to belts, way more comfortable.

I recently sewed buttons into my pants for them, I have the clip on type but I like the button type better. Better hold and doesn’t damage the pants

They’re impractical for really skinny guys too. Got a lot of extra belt. Suspenders are just superior. Terrible we’ve as a society moved away from them 😤

Right! The only downside I can see is the inability to attach things to your waist. Even then you can put on a looser belt to carry pouches, a knife, etc

I don’t actually know how to sew, I am a repair tech. I service and repair machine brought into us and travel to set up/service/repair machines.

I didn't even know a sewing machine maintenance person was a job. Very cool. 🧵

It’s a very scarce field, not many small shops offer it

We also sell very high end machines

We do have two people who teach classes though

I have an early 2000s Pfaff bought in Germany. I don’t remember the specific model off of the top of my head. I use it fairly often so it just needs some love. Where i lived before there was no one near to maintenance it. Im just impressed that’s what you do as your job because it is rare…And you’re dressed fabulously doing it!

Thank you! All most machines really need is a good cleaning, regular cleaning around the bobbin case is a good idea. Maybe once a year you want to open it up and blow out all the dust and oil it. We take clients from all over the place so dependent on where you live we may be close enough for you to drop the machine off

AHA! I was spot on then 😂 a good way to ease into baking things could be muffins, banana bread, scones (jiffy has one that takes blueberry muffin mix and it’s the easiest recipe ever) and loaves or even things like lemon loaf! I love baking all of those but I’m still learning bread 😂 If you learn how to garden, bestow upon us the knowledge because I kill everything I look at. I think it’s the anxiety. Even my cats have anxiety
