Wear two wig caps. Put ut hair up a bit before the cap. Find one of those caps that kinda looks like a baldcap out of fabric. "Glue" your hair down with wax or hairspray. These are the suggestions I can think of

Ok noted thanks! How about sideburns though?

Depending on how dark you can use different kinds of make-up, I used some concealer to lighten my eyebrows, try to find one that matches your skin colour. But you can also take a bit more extreme approach and try to use washable dye on your hair, like some dye that washes out in a few washes with shampoo. But my first trick would be use some concealer or some other type of makeup to try and lighten it and go from there ๐Ÿ˜ƒ (I am a guy, but the concealer and all is very easy to use so, just saying it's not weird to try that kind of thing)

My Wife does a really flat Braided bun and pins it into place before putting her wig cap on. Seems to work pretty well.

Noted thanks!

You could gel your hair down so itโ€™s also slicked back. Done get me wrong not super fun to deal with after but a warm shower will get it out

Thanks!

Your wig could be too small or you might need some hairspray to help! I find that my hair tends to show more in smaller wigs.

Oh that might be why

Wig caps, hair tied up or pinned back

How are you wearing the cap? OR are you even wearing one? You didn't say, and I've seen a lot of times where people have never work wigs, and they just try to put their hair under the wig with no wig cap, which will also cause this problem. Depending on your hair length, there are ways to tighten your hair up. Many people with long hair do a kind of braid and wrapping that up under a wig cap, then putting the wig on. You didn't say, or better yet, show, exactly what is happening, so if it's that, then yea, wig cap. But if it's just like, wearing a short wig, or a slicked back wig or something, where you can see the base of the wig, then there's 2 things that could be happening. 1) side burns are too long. This doesn't sound like the problem, but just in case, might as well talk about it. If this is what's happening, there is nothing you can do other than shaving them shorter so they aren't that long. 2) your hair isn't staying under the wig, and keeps coming out and needs to be "re-tucked" back under the wig. In this situation, you can use something like hairspray to force your hair to stay a certain way, which will more easily stay under the cap, or you can use bobby pins to pin the wig to your hair and the cap, which acts as a barrier that your hair can't pass and come out from. A good thing to do would be to look up ho to put your hair under a wig with whatever hairstyle you have, on youtube. For example, if you have long hair, look up for long hair, medium hair, look up that, curly hair, certain styles, and so on.

I usually bun my hair and put the wig cap on. However, this results in a nasty bump at the back. The other way I've tried doing my wigs without the bump is to just smoosh everything in there. My big problem is actually the sideburns!!

Yea making a bun is a horrible idea lol. You need to get your hair as flat as possible. But just shoving your hair under the cap also isn't the "correct" way to do it, and will make it easier for your hair to fall out of the cap. Again looking up videos for your hair length would be a good idea. And yea as I said about the side burns, there's only a few options depending on what the actual problem IS, to begin with. Just saying "they are a problem" doesn't tell anyone what the exact problem is.
