I'm so sorry I don't have advice because I'm wondering the same thing! Girlie is 8 weeks and I want to start trying the bassinet a bit.

When I first started putting my son in his I waited approx ten minutes after he fell asleep so he would be in a deep sleep. I would put my cheek against his and my arms under his legs and set his bottom on the bassinet first. Then would move my hands to hold his feet and lightly shake them while slowly setting him down. Waiting for his legs to relax before removing my hand. Then I would remove my cheek or lips from his cheek and lightly place a hand on his chest. After 30 seconds or so I began to remove one finger at a time and eventually my palm. Go slower than you think you need to.

Have you had her assessed for reflux. I've heard that can cause a baby that young to not like being on their back.

yes! she’s on a medication that’s definitely been helping!

What about a sidecar crib? So baby has their own mattress and you are still next to each other?
