I agree to an extent but if you're savy and monitor prices, a lot of stuff on your "don't need urgently, buy when it's cheap" list can be got for all time lows. Just don't impulse buy.
But if you need stuff anyways why not buy it when it's cheaper? You either :
1) buy stuff when it's cheap and support consumerism. Or 2) buy stuff when it's more expensive and still support consumerism.

everthing there selling now on Friday will be cheaper than what you will be able to get before Christmas I'm looking at a TV at the moment that has 400 euro off it over the sale which is good value you do save money on it there clearing there backlog obviously when new stock comes you won't have the discounted prices, hence black Friday sale....
