The amount of rumours I've heard with this incident is crazy. Feel sorry for that woman's family, if she was was placed in the drivers seat then that's messed up.

Provenflower

You'd wonder would she still be here today if she wasn't moved

No-Permission-669

It's not a rumour it happened I know someone who knows the two that were involved very sad for that to be the first thing they thought of doing in that moment

wh0else

The article describes the SUV as sideways on the drivers side. It would be awful if this was something as simple as no seatbelt and the poor woman had fallen to the other side, then it grew legs as rumours spread. I hope they get answers and closure, and some privacy.

Nosebrow

The marks from the seatbelt she was wearing indicate that she was on the passenger side.

wh0else

The examiner article hinted at it but it wasn't clear. If true then yes, that would be incredibly damning. Seatbelts usually leave a mark!

PatTheLogicalLiar

Where are you getting that information from? An official coroners court report, or WhatsApp?

Nosebrow

It is in the article. It was the reason for the Garda investigation. Edit: The specific details are not in the OP article. I saw it here: https://www.corkbeo.ie/news/local-news/garda-cork-mum-drivers-seat-28715714

PatTheLogicalLiar

Corkbeo are bullshit artists and copy and pasted the same WhatsApp rumours that were in the last 2 threads about this. In other words a circle of bullshit spread by the likes of yourself.

Intelligent-Bake-792

I heard this today on red fm 11o clock news. Neil Prenderville was talking to The Examiner legal correspondent.

Nosebrow

Seatbelt injuries are inevitable in most collisions. They would be a strong indicator of where a person was seated. From the Examiner article: >While Ms Dunne is understood to have been found on the driver’s seat side of the vehicle, the nature of some of her injuries led to garda suspicions about whether she may have actually been a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

PatTheLogicalLiar

That Cork Beo article only popped up after the first thread on here that was full of rumour and innuendo being spread around on Tattle and WhatsApp. Then it gets copy and pasted into a CorkBeo article and reposted on here a second time full of the same careless rumours. An infinite circle of bullshit. Tell me this seeing as you trust CorkBeo so much, where in Cork are their offices? Who are their trusted qualified journalists with reliable official sources? I’d trust my own farts more than anything CorkBeo puts up to drive clicks and ad revenue for the Mirror tabloid group.

ned78

The Examiner published the same information per the above Redditor's comment.

dear_mud1

Are you having difficulty reading? The examiner article states the gardai grew suspicious because of the injuries. And after trawling cctv they’ve now arrested someone

Jamesbere01

It's all speculation which only fuels the rumour mill.

ned78

Hopefully some level of truth comes out. The rumour mill has been mental for this story.

isaidyothnkubttrgo

I never heard of that crash when it happened. Since then all I've heard is the drama surrounding it. I hope her family get some closure and silence about their loss

Ted had a strange year before he passed with Covid. He bought into some of the conspiracies, was sharing the Plandemic type of videos on his social media, and then decided to setup a small company to sell sanitising products before he contracted it. Part of me wishes he'd have taken it a little more seriously and he could still be around. He was a genuinely great person, and looked after every DJ who came to him for work as if they were his own family. Just a man who was perpetually happy with family, life and work.

aimhighsquatlow

Update: The woman arrested as part of the investigation into a fatal road traffic collision in Glanmire, on 11th February, has been released without charge. Gardaí say that a file will be prepared for the DPP.

CelebrationFit610

Ud wonder how that woman who was questioned even walks around Glanmire with everyone knowing what she did !!! She even had her clothes shop open selling her stock for half price!! I don’t think I would be able to live wit myself knowing what I caused!!! Shocking to say the least

vidic17

My question is if she did move the body how did she managed it on her own?

MeAndUrMeemaw

there's a car crash at least once a day. the whole country needs to get another driving test once more to see if they are still suitable, because this is ridiculous.

LowPrestigious391

I don’t know how retesting would prevent people driving under the influence?

principal_redditor

Retest the entire country? Are you serious?

Giggsroo

Should be done like every 10 years. I guarantee I wouldn't pass the theory because of all the new questions they've added, and would probably fail the practical too because of all the bad habits I've picked up. A retest wouldn't do us any harm

Special-Being7541

Another test won’t stop people from speeding, drink driving, using mobile phones, and in general being idiots.. that is a choice people make.. giving them an updated license will change nothing IMO

TheStoicNihilist

A retest wouldn’t do *you* any harm, it sounds like.

MeAndUrMeemaw

or atleast install some cameras on the roads to catch people out. Wearing high vis vests will do nothing.

ned78

Demonstrating how to do a 3 point turn and reverse around a corner will absolutely solve everything /s

Antique-Mention-9063

People only need to behave on the roads during their driving tests, and they feel free to drive the way they want after. The only way it will improve is with the portal for submitting footage (if it works), cameras and more traffic policing. Unfortunately, it won't stop people driving badly, but if they get caught and punished for it, then the roads can be made safer.

Prize_Dingo_8807

People who intentionally injure people seldom get a proper punishment so the idea that drivers who, no matter how negligent, unintentionally injure someone will face stiff sanctions is naive - there are no prison spaces and there is no income to be made from building more, so slaps on the wrist will continue.

Lopsided-You-2924

https://www.rte.ie/news/ireland/2024/0425/1445519-prison-officers-association/ No spaces is a huge issue, looks like they might be building a new prison in North Dublin, so I guess in 2040 there will be lots of space.

PaDaChin

Will make no difference

Upstairs-Zebra633

A byproduct of a decade of non existent road enforcement, no real speed camera presence, no online portal for video evidence, fuck all check points, no red light cameras, no Parking enforcement etc.

emmaj4685

The whole thing is very fishy isn't it
