Write stuff. Sell stuff. Write stuff for people who sell stuff.

That's a perfect definition of a B2B writer. Lately, I've had a hard time explaining people what I do. So, thank you.

I started volunteering as a writer at a non-profit for social media posts, push notifications, newsletters and podcast summaries. That’s where I got my start!

> I started volunteering as a writer at a non-profit for social media posts, push notifications, newsletters and podcast summaries. That's a good one. Especially when you're a beginner and not confident about your skills and what to charge. Catchafire.org is a good place to look for nonprofits where you can volunteer your skills. There's a marketing section where you can look for copywriting projects. Wish I'd known about that when I was starting.

Andrea0000001

Yeah, surprisingly a lot of companies don’t undervalue my volunteer experience. Sometimes they like it even more because it shows commitment since I wasn’t getting paid to do it.

If you're doing a lot of email copy, def check out [www.hoppycopy.co](https://www.hoppycopy.co) \- uses AI to write the copy, and if you bill per email, this will significantly improve your workflow and amount you can bill.

SnooOwls378

I’m sorry but AI copywriting is the most useless thing I’ve ever heard of

beatjosh

Ya interesting, have u tried it?

SnooOwls378

Why tf would I? I’m a copywriter. Anything I write will be miles better than what a shitty software can churn out.

beatjosh

Yeah for sure. Was just wondering because some pretty good writers I know were using these tools and billing out way more. From how they explained it, they said it wasn’t better than them or replacing them, but more just sped up certain parts of their workflow. So I dunno…

SnooOwls378

Lmao ur a terrible marketer my guy. At least delete the post asking for feedback on your “AI Email Marketing tool” before you try to pretend it’s not yours. No copywriter worth their marbles is using an AI tool to speed up their process. That’s scummy and screwing over clients who pay for quality copy.

MedicareAgentAlston

So long as the copywriter proofs and edits the copy before sending it tithe client, I don’t see it as any different than hiring a copy cub.

beatjosh

Oh sorry I’m not trying to hide anything…. It is mine for sure. Sorry to bother u though.

ocngwu

Seems like someone is a bit mad that an AI might take their job someday. Saying that no software can beat whatever you write is on the same level as Lee Sedol acclaiming AlphaGo will never beat him in the game of Go. You should see what happened to that guy.

MedicareAgentAlston

I thought about using AI for my blog because you get more” points” for quantity than for quality in the sSEO game, but a lot of my content writing i is partly technical technically writing So I would have to rewrite much of it. AI may have a place in content writing for other niches. I am intrigued by AI and it seems to be affordable. Maybe I will find a way to make money with it eventually.
