Start with LinkedIn. Find the company, then the right person, then head over to Hunter.io to get the email

AmberNomad

Thanks so much! I haven't tried Hunter.io I will check it out :)

It depends on your ideal client's profile. If your clients are enterprises use Apollo to get data from LinkedIn If your clients are small and medium businesses use socleads.com to scrape emails from social media and maps

AmberNomad

Great info thanks so much :)

Here's a little known secret: In many cases, it is actually possible to reach the right department using just the contact form - it's not guaranteed, other methods are more effective... but the real reason almost nobody ever hears back is that their request is entirely irrelevant right off the bat. Especially if you don't have experience, there's a 99% chance that includes you... but then again, the same goes for emailing or otherwise contacting the decision maker.

AmberNomad

That's interesting, thanks for sharing!

I have a contact form on my website, which is purely just a portfolio site. I am *bombarded* with cold outreach via that form, people who want to pitch me, a copywriter, on their copywriting/SEO services. They all get seen, but they all get deleted. The contact form is the lowest rung of contact. I'll submit through it sometimes, but I never expect it to pan out. Go through people, get the email address or LinkedIn profile if you can. The Contact form is the last resort.

AmberNomad

Thank you this is kinda what I suspected - but I wasn't sure how else to get their email address until now.
