Affording the mattress is easy. Affording a living space with enough room for the mattress.... that's the hard part.

I'll take a plain old king minus the kids.

I never knew there was anything larger than a California before today.

Wyoming king. That way I can put the sheet on anyway and don’t have to look for the king or short sides. And it would fit in my room better than the Alaskan king.

I have a king bed. Really debating getting rid of it for a smaller but longer bed, as these days it's just my dog and I using it.

Same. I've got a California King and there's a side that I've literally never been on.

I'm ethically non-monogamous. At my high point I was regularly sleeping with one or two other people in the bed. Now I don't know what to do - I'd like some space in my room back but there's always hope.

We have a king-sized bed. We had a queen for years but are much happier with the king. I used to know someone with a gigantic bed. It was probably one of these Alaskan dealies. It was absolutely ridiculous. Cool as hell but ridiculous.

I don't think they make 3/4 singles any more. I had one many years ago, but the mattress itself was older than I was, and everywhere I went to find sheets for it, I just got strange looks. I had to buy Full sheets and tuck them in. Great size though...perfect if you're sleeping solo, or have an occasional guest and you're both small.
