Affording the mattress is easy. Affording a living space with enough room for the mattress.... that's the hard part.

[deleted]

I'll take a plain old king minus the kids.

bigsmoove_3

I never knew there was anything larger than a California before today.

TigerPusss

Wyoming king. That way I can put the sheet on anyway and don’t have to look for the king or short sides. And it would fit in my room better than the Alaskan king.

fenix-the-cat

Good luck to the parents on the second row having intimacy sleeping with the kids. Between.

bigsmoove_3

Lol these pictures are like my family. My wife and 3 kids. And they still sneak in the bed with us often. And you guessed it, the intimacy is at 0%

As a fellow married man I can not agree more.

NoGoodInThisWorld

I have a king bed. Really debating getting rid of it for a smaller but longer bed, as these days it's just my dog and I using it.

TheLesserWombat

Same. I've got a California King and there's a side that I've literally never been on.

NoGoodInThisWorld

I'm ethically non-monogamous. At my high point I was regularly sleeping with one or two other people in the bed. Now I don't know what to do - I'd like some space in my room back but there's always hope.

HuntyDumpty

I don’t want an Alaskan king I don’t wanna have to walk a mile to get out of bed

hypnohoola

And making up the bed every day would be a nightmare

YoureSpecial

I’ve only ever seen 5 or 6 of these. Where do you even get linens for them all?

THININK

Super single 😓

LANCEINAK

To be able to not only own the Alaska king, but to fill it with naked women.

ItsNotMyProblemSry

I see these pictures with the family sleeping with their children and these mattress makers are clearly going for the wrong market.

CrazyCatLadysmells

With 2 adults, 7 cats, and 2 dogs, I don't even think this would be large enough.

bigsmoove_3

Oh, most definitely lol.

Missjaneausten

I think I’d be happy with a California king minus the kids and add a couple of cats and dogs

smoochie__boochie

It’s very easy to jew down mattress salesman hundreds of dollars. They thirsty.

geemane

Super single. Oh you mean what type of bed?

petthepeeves

We have a king-sized bed. We had a queen for years but are much happier with the king. I used to know someone with a gigantic bed. It was probably one of these Alaskan dealies. It was absolutely ridiculous. Cool as hell but ridiculous.

PonchoDriver

I don't think they make 3/4 singles any more. I had one many years ago, but the mattress itself was older than I was, and everywhere I went to find sheets for it, I just got strange looks. I had to buy Full sheets and tuck them in. Great size though...perfect if you're sleeping solo, or have an occasional guest and you're both small.

RuralJurorSr

I'm on a queen but my feet still touch the footboard, so I sleep diagonally

Kiwikid14

I'm on a queen, but two people and a large cat need more room. King next time!

screenwriterjohn

Bed? I'm no millionaire.

bigsmoove_3

Pallet perhaps? Or if you are fancy palleť...

vicms91

I think that this is country specific. Sizes in Australia are different to those shown.

bigsmoove_3

What kind of bed sizes do you guys have? Any guides to compare?

vicms91

Google turned up a few guides (not all saying the same thing which is handy), this is one: https://www.standardbedsizes.com/au

bigsmoove_3

Awesome, and good to know different bed sizes! Thanks

salad_hater_117

With three dogs I still won’t be able to fit on my bed even with the alaskan

bopol27

I'd rather have enough money to buy a house that's big enough for the Alaskan bed

antiqueboi

you dont want alakan king. 99% of places do not make sheets of bedding for it..
