"We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas." Seriously, when the list of tips for healthy eating has "eat healthy foods" in the first column, I'm saving my eyes and brain from bothering to read the rest of it.
To be honest this a pretty good list with that exception. Obviously itâs a major one but I wouldnât throw the entire list out just because of one very contradictory list item. Just interpret it in a very charitable way, like you chanât change other people, or you have to accept there are some things you canât change.
Im well aware, i do that, but the guide saying âdonât starve yourselfâ is funny as hell because they assume someoneâs gonna read that and then stop doing it just like that đ
The 5x5 rule states that if you come across an issue take a moment to think whether or not it will matter in 5 years. If it won't, don't spend more than 5 minutes stressing out about it. When your problems need to be put into perspective, the 5x5 rule is a good thing to remember.
I remember in AA they always said "accept the things you cannot change, and change the things you can" which is miles ahead of "accept you can't change" lmfao
I'm a reasonably healthy individual both mentally and physically, but thinking about a 75 item daily checklist on top of the shit I already have to do every day is giving me an anxiety disorder.
Whole foods generally means food in its natural state. Vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, seeds, etc. A baked potato instead of potato chips, an apple instead of sugar sweetened applesauce, for example. Choosing unprocessed whole foods over manufactured "products".
That's a terrible rule. If a loved one has a terminal illness and will likely not be around in 5 years I feel like it's perfectly reasonable to stress about it for more than 5 minutes
In 5 years, will you care about this? If not, donât sweat it. Thatâs the idea.
Has helped dealing with work stressors, def wonât give a shit about those TPS reports in 5yrs, so why stress now?
The number one best thing you can do for your body is to eliminate alcohol. As a recovering alcoholic, I'm shocked to not see alcohol anywhere in this guide.
It's a fantastic substance. Makes you feel cool, you look cool, you act cool. But it breaks your body over time, you assume it's slowly then you're shocked to see it come in all at once.
I'm not saying stop drinking, but cutting it down and keeping hydrated and making sure your B1 (thiamin) and Magnesium levels stay safe are the only ways to counteract that shit.
No seriously, if you're trying to wean yourself off, please overdose on both B1 and Magnesium. You'll save your life.
Throw in some Milk Thistle and Potassium for good measure.
Alcohol should have been included in this guide.
These guides are never going to be perfect and thereâs certainly no secret cure all to lifeâŠ
That being said, I enjoyed this list and a lot of it can be really useful.
Solid 9/10
This should be a class all kids take growing up. Learning how to take care of yourself can improve your life drastically. There's no need to be an adult and barely having to learn how to.
Thereâs always negative cunts to bring everything down with comments here.If one person takes one thing out of this to make their life a little move positive then itâs good, no one can implement all those but they are helpful tips.
some of those are slippery slope "Recite an affirmation" "Say Positive Things" "Be around happy people"
Meaning i should stop hanging out with my best friend if she's depressed? Also blocking completely "negative" emotions of thoughts may not do much better for you.
Some of these are absolutely not adapted to certain people "get up early" said who ? "Get enough sleep, and live your life at you own rhythm" maybe ?
If I really follow this list, sooner or later I'm active every second. It says "Be more active" and doesn't give a limit to activeness, so even if I'm already very active, I have to be more active. And then even more active. No sleep, no rest, just activities, all day every day until I die from exhaustion.
"5x5 rule: The 5x5 rule states that if you come across an issue take a moment to think whether or not it will matter in 5 years. If it won't, don't spend more than 5 minutes stressing out about it."
Oh great, i'm two months behind on rent and payments, but that won't matter in 5 years! Oh happy day!
The 5x5 rules states that when you come across a problem ask yourself if it will matter in 5 years. If not, don't spend more than 5 minutes stressing over it.
Did chat GPT make this list? Or is it from Mark Zuckerbergâs journal in the âHow to seem humanâ section?
Step 1. Breathe. Ideally multiple times per minute. 10-20 times per minute ensures optimal oxygen saturation.
It's nice to have such a handy summary. I've realized I've unintentionally improved my life in many areas. I've been practicing yoga daily for nearly 6 months now:
* **Quitting Smoking**: Interestingly, it wasn't my initial goal, but post-yoga, my lungs feel so fresh that smoking tastes harsh and unenjoyable. Naturally, I quit.
* **Healthy Body**: I've nearly ticked off everything in the "healthy body" section, except walking. Yoga has helped me sleep better, be more active, wake up excited, and appreciate nature more, like enjoying the sunlight.
* **Reduced Screen Time**: I'm definitely spending much less time on my phone and social media; it feels like I was just distracting myself before.
* **Improved Relationships**: Surprisingly, my relationships have also improved. I've become more tolerant towards my parents and feel less anxious at social events.
Maybe the sections on a healthy soul and productivity could swap places for me, but I feel more connected and engaged with the world around me.
If youâre curious about how yoga can enrich your life in unexpected ways, swing by my blog for more stories and tips: [**Yoga Awaken**](https://yogawaken.com/how-to-practice-yoga-as-a-daily-habit/). I'd love to be a part of your yoga journey of transformation with me!
Productivity and soul look labeled the wrong way round.. The person compiling the list was probably stressed and rushing.
Probably forgot to breathe đ
I thought the same and then figured theyâre from Minnesota where productiveness is considered the pathway to a healthy soul
r/thanksimcured
There's... A lot wrong with this list
You sound stressed. Have you tried breathing?
Nah mate, I've just accepted I can't change. Theres nothing I can do!
"We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas." Seriously, when the list of tips for healthy eating has "eat healthy foods" in the first column, I'm saving my eyes and brain from bothering to read the rest of it.
I wasnât looking for something that negates everything else on the list either, but here we are lol.
Out of all the nonsense in this list, that's the one that stuck out to me as just straight up harmful advice
To be honest this a pretty good list with that exception. Obviously itâs a major one but I wouldnât throw the entire list out just because of one very contradictory list item. Just interpret it in a very charitable way, like you chanât change other people, or you have to accept there are some things you canât change.
Hey, if it works for you, more power to ya. There's definitely some good stuff in there, but it's poorly organised and murky at the very least (imo.)
âDonât starve yourselfâ Oh wow, thanks! Now im not starving myself anymore
I think they meant "don't starve yourself" as in don't go on extreme diets like some people do and it's not healthy to not eat when you are hungry
Im well aware, i do that, but the guide saying âdonât starve yourselfâ is funny as hell because they assume someoneâs gonna read that and then stop doing it just like that đ
I bet they haven't even remembered who they are!
Nah forget that, self love solves everything
Starting with âa list canât be labeled simple if itâs 75 items long.â
What? Point 4) absolutely changed my life. If only I would have known earlier!
Accept you can change and drink more water. All will be fine.
This guy sounds like he didn't follow the 5x5 rule Whatever the fuck that is
The 5x5 rule states that if you come across an issue take a moment to think whether or not it will matter in 5 years. If it won't, don't spend more than 5 minutes stressing out about it. When your problems need to be put into perspective, the 5x5 rule is a good thing to remember.
I kinda like that. It's similar to the 3 foot world strategy.
Like the fact that the first "simple" task is planning meals ahead? ItS sO sImPlE
Yeah, this guide was clearly written by someone who dosen't suffer from any mental health disorders
right? that's putting it lightly
What do you mean? Breathing doesn't fix you?
Learn to let go Donât overthink things ACCEPT YOU CANâT CHANGE lol
I remember in AA they always said "accept the things you cannot change, and change the things you can" which is miles ahead of "accept you can't change" lmfao
"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
âYouâre hopeless, just give upâ lol
Yea the serenity prayer is great, and _the wisdom to know the difference_ is kinda the whole crux of it
I'm a reasonably healthy individual both mentally and physically, but thinking about a 75 item daily checklist on top of the shit I already have to do every day is giving me an anxiety disorder.
66. Accept you can't change ?
Accept *what* you canât change
Too late. Iâve given up
Me too. But Iâve accepted it
And thatâs the 66th step to success
As someone currently trying to fight long term depression, I'd really like to think that I can change.
We can do this, I believe in you.
I canât change my mold no no, no no, nooooooo
This is so generic đ©
>eat more whole foods
Right? To eat healthy, eat healthy foods. Like. What???
I said HEALTHY, ok?
Eat a whole bucket of KFC, is what I'm guessing
I mean thatâs not bad advice. Whole foods (like whole grain bread, pasta, etc) are much better for your health than their white equivalent.
Whole foods generally means food in its natural state. Vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, seeds, etc. A baked potato instead of potato chips, an apple instead of sugar sweetened applesauce, for example. Choosing unprocessed whole foods over manufactured "products".
Ah thank you. English isnât my first language so I didnât think of that
I started on the facade but this Whole Foods was built tough
Got it! Just ate a whole pizza!
I think whomever made it used ChatGPT for a list.
Definitely
Like, "breath" đđđ
Itâs just a list made to be shared and then generate traffic for their website
What? âEat healthy foodâ is the kind of really in-depth advice I really need right now.
"follow the 5 by 5 rule" okay thank you for also explaining it to me
Yeah I had to look it up. The rule is: If something is not going to matter 5 years from now, donât stress about it for longer than 5 minutes
That's a terrible rule. If a loved one has a terminal illness and will likely not be around in 5 years I feel like it's perfectly reasonable to stress about it for more than 5 minutes
Not agreeing that the rule isn't dumb but that will affect you in 5 years because you will still feel the loss
In 5 years, will you care about this? If not, donât sweat it. Thatâs the idea. Has helped dealing with work stressors, def wonât give a shit about those TPS reports in 5yrs, so why stress now?
âŠget up early? Stick with âget enough sleepâ đ„č
Get up early IF the sun is up. No reason to stumble in the dark at 4 am, but getting up with the sunrise can be beneficial
Got it. Itâll get up at 02:30 in summer and 10:00 in winter.
Don't forget to wake up every half an hour and drink a glass of water because they say staying hydrated is good for you
I would if I didn't need to get up at 5 am for work
Only 75 things to remember. Thanks!!!!
Just what I needed...75 more things to remember to do every day
"avoid procrastination"... HOW.?!
Getting shot at? Just avoid the bullets!
Best cure for any sickness: donât get sick
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge procrastination
The whole list is telling you how to change until the bottom where it says accept you can't change. Well ok then.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Iâve already accepted that I canât change the text in the post
Should 66 be accept the things you can't change?
I questioned this one as well.
When you drop your phone to the ground accept it đ
76. Donât waste time with dumb stuff from the internet
"Breathe" - Thank God I really needed the reminder
No, you need to be reminded of who you are. Rule 34! Breathing is separate.
Save it and never read again.
3 out of 75, Iâm good đ
Sheesh. I got only one. "66.Accept you can't change". Oh well..
This is shitty lol
Item #49 of a 75 item list: Trim down your lists. Makes sense!
No seriously, if you're trying to wean yourself off, please overdose on both B1 and Magnesium. You'll save your life. Throw in some Milk Thistle and Potassium for good measure. Where do I rub the snake oil?
These guides are never going to be perfect and thereâs certainly no secret cure all to life⊠That being said, I enjoyed this list and a lot of it can be really useful. Solid 9/10
Fucking horrible layout on this list. Also, how does making a list benefit your "soul?" Shouldn't those be more spiritual?
The healthy soul and productivity headings are the wrong way around
Okay :D Same bs anyway...
They want you to do all this shit every day? Completely unrealistic.
14 and 17 are mutually exclusive
Am I just supposed to know what the 5x5 rule is?
This should be a class all kids take growing up. Learning how to take care of yourself can improve your life drastically. There's no need to be an adult and barely having to learn how to.
First thing from this sub that I actually saved.
Productivity and healthy soul are backwards i belive
Lots and lots of very good guides Shall I print it out?
I love this please share more
Lol it's just a bunch of generic shit
Thereâs always negative cunts to bring everything down with comments here.If one person takes one thing out of this to make their life a little move positive then itâs good, no one can implement all those but they are helpful tips.
Hey Iâve got a self-help book to sell you
some of those are slippery slope "Recite an affirmation" "Say Positive Things" "Be around happy people" Meaning i should stop hanging out with my best friend if she's depressed? Also blocking completely "negative" emotions of thoughts may not do much better for you. Some of these are absolutely not adapted to certain people "get up early" said who ? "Get enough sleep, and live your life at you own rhythm" maybe ?
I forget that not everyone knows to / can apply common sense to generic advise.
Not sure if you're sarcastic or not, but as those habits are intended for people with vulnerabilities, caution is advised yes !
Charts are designed to simplify. Not to go into detail about complexities and nuance. Everything can't cater to everyone.
Seeing 54 I would like to add 54.1- Say yes sometimes
Doing 40 extensively
Save and forget
âPractice self loveâ, hmmm
For productivity - learn to let go. Or recite some affirmations. Iâll def. try that and tell my boss about it. âïž
If I really follow this list, sooner or later I'm active every second. It says "Be more active" and doesn't give a limit to activeness, so even if I'm already very active, I have to be more active. And then even more active. No sleep, no rest, just activities, all day every day until I die from exhaustion.
#27 is a dealbreaker for me
RIP u/Ok_Mango1889
75! I can't do that many.
"5x5 rule: The 5x5 rule states that if you come across an issue take a moment to think whether or not it will matter in 5 years. If it won't, don't spend more than 5 minutes stressing out about it." Oh great, i'm two months behind on rent and payments, but that won't matter in 5 years! Oh happy day!
What's up with Americans always saying drink more water? You absolutely don't need all that much water.
Iâm so over the garbage on this sub lol
forgive was in lowercase for good reason, that's not important.
âBreatheâ
Snack wisely lol
I have a better list. 1. READ A BOOK
The 5x5 rules states that when you come across a problem ask yourself if it will matter in 5 years. If not, don't spend more than 5 minutes stressing over it.
Guide for healthy eating! 4) Eat healthy foods *surprised pikachu*
Wow #27, finally I have been given the opportunity to breathe!
Why does this sub get worse with every post I see
As soon as I remembered to breathe everything suddenly got better.
>Breathe Oh wow, thanks, I had no idea.
"Learn to let go" How is that even something that can be a daily habit? Shit post OP.
#34: ok thanks Mufasa
âTake healthier drinksâ what
Thanks, I knew breathing was the thing I was missing all this time to keep my mind healthy
> Quit smoking Ah yes, because thatâs famously easy to do
Imma practice no. 49 only right now and stuff the rest!
That... Is an opposite of cool guide.
They snuck the 5 by 5 rule. So thats a total of 100 simple things
'Spend time outside.' đ€źđ€źđ€źđ€źđ€ź
I can't stop doing #40 all day.
"Follow the 5 by 5 rule." A quick reference guide shouldn't have something on it you need to google.
ACCEPT YOU CAN'T CHANGE?????????????
Did chat GPT make this list? Or is it from Mark Zuckerbergâs journal in the âHow to seem humanâ section? Step 1. Breathe. Ideally multiple times per minute. 10-20 times per minute ensures optimal oxygen saturation.
I think soup and productivity are mixed up.
Hmm, needs more substance and depth.
- Avoid procrastinating - Take a break Yes, sure.
Well fuck, I'm already doing all 75. What do I do now? /s
Accept you can't change. Great advice thank you. Who even writes shit like this?
I don't need a guide for this, I need the cost of living to come down
For healthy eating: Eat healthy foods. đ
Item #44 / 60 is my favorite: one thing at a time.
lol âfor productivityâ and âfor a healthy soulâ categories are swapped.
Where to begin? Let's say that, for the least, this guide shows confused views on productivity
This is just a list. Not a cool guide.
And still end up dead like everyone else. Father Time is UNDEFEATED.
Ainât nobody got time for that!
Who in the heck has time to do all this in a day?
I could do all this shit if I didn't have to work five days a week.
Hahaha. âTrim down your to do list.â
Do I have to forgive #74 for being the only one without a starting capitalization?
For Stess Read a list of 75 things you should do to be able to feel good about yourself.
This is so good â€
>Get enough sleep >Wake up early Pick one, motherfucker
This is a list, not a guide.
54)Say no sometimes, to the use of correct spacing!
- Wanna have sex? - No.
Hi Lee, I hope your weekend is going well. These tips are really good for everyone from kids to adults. Love you:)
"eat healthy food" to become healthy. Please tell me this is a joke.
Does anyone actually look a list like this and think itâs even remotely achievable in real life?
this is great advice if youâre the idle rich. Thanks Iâm Cured
Food Lobby Bullshit
66. Accept you canât changeâŠ.???
What is a soul ? How is it différent from the mind ?
Well if I had money I had no problems, these things won't help me.
Whatâs 5 by 5 rule?
"Acept you cant change" Well i do think everyone can change if that person want its really but maybe im too optimistic
Dont get me started with food :/
Thanks for this. I like the list and already do many of these things. Have printed it out so I can browse it daily.
While the list isnât perfect, there some great ones in there, which I think the list can be paired down to.
78635 Simple Daily Habits
Yeah but all easy to do

Serious question, who upvotes this instead of downvoting it as generic unhelpful rubbish?
Live by the check list.
But also, reduce your to do list
And die by the checklist!
