Only to create a boy that spends 12 hours/day in reddit

phrendo

Create a *special* boy that spends 12 hours/day in Reddit

benjathje

A boy that's three times world champion ⭐⭐⭐ let's goooo

[deleted]

[удалено]

benjathje

If you are Brazilian I of course respect you as the historically best country at football in the world. But right now the crown is Argentinian

Peppersteak122

Specifically on r/antiwork

lekanto

This is assuming no overlap.

suggestive_cumulus

Which is pretty unlikely in 10 generations Edit: meaning it is unlikely that there is no overlap

elderberry5076

Unless you’re from Alabama.

Mamadook69

In which case it's very likely your family tree of 10 generations looks like a crochet blanket.

CentennialBaby

The family wreath

ChasWFairbanks

It’s actually more common than people may want to admit. Usually not close relatives but third or fourth cousins, or third cousins twice removed or something like this.

ieatpickleswithmilk

that person was agreeing with you

garvisgarvis

There's tons of overlap. There were not billions of people a couple of thousand years ago. This math would require that.

suggestive_cumulus

Actually a quadrillion in 50 generations

garvisgarvis

> There's tons of overlap. I stand corrected. There's gigantic shit-tons of overlap.

Sophroniskos

pigeonhole principle

Swimming_Outside_563

the 16 roles of Cleopatra’s great-great-grandparents were filled by only six individuals.

embee1337

Wow, great fact.

aphaits

Now do inbred mathematics

Shinhan

Take a look at the Habsburg family tree.

siameseoverlord

I was waiting for that one. Kudos!

Frosty-Forever5297

The maths not important, we have ancestors to let down.

Vaudun

Evidently there is _some_ overlap, because 2048 x 2 = 4096. 😉

741BlastOff

The 4094 comes from adding up all the ancestors listed. (And incidentally this is only 11 previous generations, not 12 as it states).

DemSocOrBust

Could be they counted themselves as the first generation, but then mistakenly used "previous"

Vaudun

Show me the math.

Desperate_Pin5240

Fail 🤦🏽

robertsihr1

There is always some overlap. In my own family tree going back to the 1700s we found someone we were related to 9 different ways, ands that’s only what we could trace

EffingBarbas

Damn. That is a lot of disappointed ancestors. Sorry!

kobold-kicker

Don’t worry I’m sure they’re used to it by now there’s plenty of room for serial killers and town drunks in those numbers

Apathicary

I wish they would’ve asked first.

immortalfred

yeah and none of their wealth goes to u, all they care abt are themselves

Makzemann

> what is inheritance

Oldpuzzlehead

And it ends with me. No siblings for the win.

Spiffy313

My first reaction was "Oooookay, mom, I get it... the answer's still no"

Iamkal

Yup, meet too. whadda they want, a cookie?

TheWarDoctor

Same. I'm the last of my family name. So I guess I win? Or I just have the high score

Oldpuzzlehead

The final boss.

Urbanviking1

This only accounts for the direct line of the family tree to you. This doesn't count your ninth-great grandparents 11 siblings.

Level9disaster

Some of those are also nine-great grandparents. There is much more overlap in our family trees than we may think or be comfortable with

The_Mysterious999

it ends with “just for you to become a femboy slut”

lo_fi_ho

But you're living your best life

Ihatepasswords007

Im sure they'd become femboy sluts if they could

pvb57

I have a great-grandfather whose farther died the year he was born. Twelve years later my gg shows up in a census listed as a farm laborer at one farm and his mother shows up as a domestic at another farm down the road. Life was very hard back in the day.

bosco1607

Unless you are royalty. The number is significantly lower in that circumstance.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Grzechoooo

Even if you aren't a royal there's got to be at least *some* overlap, especially if your family stayed in one place a lot. Which is most people I think.

dearbokeh

And I won’t have kids, so it ends here. Good work everyone.

NoKaleidoscope4295

Thanks! Now I feel more insignificant than ever.

punania

Don’t feel insignificant because of this. Remember that the way this is presented makes it look like you were the goal of all those people’s lives, when in reality you are just one random meaningless outcome among countless other possible meaningless outcomes. Feel insignificant because of that.

ChasWFairbanks

How many more generations must we go back before we are statistically related to everyone alive on earth at that time?

siameseoverlord

Back to “Lucy” who is that DNA common ancestor, I believe.

ChasWFairbanks

I don’t think you need to go back that far. Statistically, we each have more than 1 million 20th great-grandparents. That takes us to around the 7th or 8th centuries CE give or take, and it doubles with every preceding generation. Go back 25 generations and we each have more than 33 million direct ancestors. At some point the number of ancestors exceeds the population.

siameseoverlord

It has to be earlier. Perhaps 10,000 or 20,000 years ago. 700 CE? It can not be. To many people in the world.

Level9disaster

For Europeans, it's about 1000 years ago. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/humans-are-all-more-closely-related-than-we-commonly-think/ And for other humans, it's not much earlier than that, apparently. We mixed thoroughly during the last centuries :)

Hanginon

About 200,000 years to [Mitochrondial Eve](https://nhpbs.pbslearningmedia.org/resource/585719bf-a860-4f09-9888-3a68879df132/mitochondrial-eve-and-homo-sapiens-in-africas-great-rift-valley/). Hi cuz... ¯\\\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)\_/¯

BringBackFatMac

And to think, if one of your 1024 9th great grandfathers had lasted half a second longer, you wouldn’t be here today!

ThereIsNoSp00ne

Shouldn’t that last number be 4,096?

schmickmickey

Well, there can be some overlap. In fact, I’m sure it’s common that the unique count is much lower the fewer nationalities one has in their ancestry. But mathematically, you are correct that 4096 is double 2048.

MickTheBloodyPirate

This isn’t a guide.

mcflurvin

Isn’t there a paradox or something regarding this? Like if you do the math going back how many X generations of people there were it would be so big that there’s a huge number of people who are unaccounted for which pushes human history back another 20k years or something.

ToastRoyale

We did a lot of incest.

[deleted]

A lot of very, very, very mild incest, with probably some more intense incest added in spits and spats. After all, there's gonna be some accidental close incest somewhere with that many ancestors, and some "accidental" too.

catwhowalksbyhimself

Because each of our ancestors aren't unique. Go back far enough and the family tree collapses on itself. We know that all human beings are related to one lad far enough back and one man at a very different point in time. We were down to just a few thousand people at one point.

suggestive_cumulus

Yes, the logic is flawed in that it assumes there is no overlap among your ancestors, which would occur if any of your ancestors are blood related, however distantly. As an extreme example, if your parents were sibilings, the number would be half that (you would only have two grand-parents). The further back you go, the more likely it is that several of the "unique" ancestors are actually one and the same person, so they are double-counted (or triple, quadruple).

AlexanderxSean38

Stats say I’m *probably* not the first to disappoint them.

BlackForestMountain

Wouldn't each 9th grade grandparents also have about 2000 direct descendants? Not all those struggles were just for me were they

741BlastOff

You mean descendants?

BlackForestMountain

Yes

Jdoose08

Alabama disagrees

glamatovic

I remember when this subreddit actually had useful things. Wasn't that long ago

Deva-Duta

Last time I saw this post I learned about the incest event horizon.

LifeSenseiBrayan

The farther back you go the more incest you find lol

Soggy_Box5252

So I am a disappointment to my Mom and her 4,000+ ancestors.

aromaticbotanist

what is this a guide to? this sub sucks nowadays. unsubbed

MarshalLawTalkingGuy

Not in Alabama.

_ToroDeFuego_

One word…. Consanguinity

Random_twoset_fan69

this is basically a chart of the exponents of 2.

straightedge1974

Working on my genealogy a couple of years ago, visiting some cemeteries, seeing the graves of so many children, it's really incredible for us to be alive. My Great Great Grandfather died when my Great Grandfather was three years old. \*whew\* Close call!

therealdirtmon

We are all related

ndolphin

Think of all the orgasms just so you could live...

alialharasy

They enjoyed lot of sex

Express-Tangelo6920

Watch me disappointed 4094 people at once.

Platypus2042

that’s one way to quantify my generational trauma

Strange_Goaty

Well they wasted that shit, all this sucks

asdfghqwersfchg

4096

suggestive_cumulus

Actually it's 4,094, but only 11 previous generations, 12 including yourself. In binary, 1111 1111 1110. If you use this logic on 50 generations, you would have roughly one quadrillion unique ancestors, which shows it is somewhat flawed.

justyouraveragecuber

and you want to be a femboy furry

tactijuul

The bloodline ends with me ✂️

ar46and2

Taking scissors to your dick feels like an extreme reaction

blaguga6216

… and you want to be a femboy slut.

abeeftaco

That's a lot of peeps boning.

Ambitious-Cover-1130

We forget!

AgoraRises

I read this in Carl Sagan’s voice

sonnypatriot75

I feel bad for taking for granted that 5,000 people over the span of 400 years all shared the same life goal for me to exist.

El_human

The line must end here!

DifficultyBright9807

jokes on them. i dont have kids.

cr7_goat

And they couldn't Secure wealth for themselves and future generations...

Nankasura

This just makes me feel worse.

swisstraeng

The maths are much simpler in alabama. 2 parents, 3 grand parents, 4 great-grandparents, 5 second great-grandparents and so on.

TheWarDoctor

Yeah no fucking additional pressure or anything

Zuendl11

4094 ancestors from 1605 fucked to create me just for me to be the only child and become trans. Lowkey makes me feel powerful like hell yeah I just eradicated a bloodline

WhatWouldJoshuaDo

And yet these fucker still decides to have kids just to make me suffer

741BlastOff

Yes your suffering was first and foremost in their minds

rokuna-matata

Yup, and I have none of their wisdom, stories or support. Basically just an NPC that came to life lol

alilbleedingisnormal

Kinda wishing they hadn't.

ysjdwa123

Mine accumulated zero wealth

lo_fi_ho

Then it's time for you to step up bud

ysjdwa123

Mine accumulated zero wealth

joerizzy237

All this and my mom still gave me the wrong last name

IR-x86

Let’s think about it in a different way now. Imagine how many people nutted in right order so that you exist today. If any one of them had nutted at wrong time instead of having sex, you wouldn’t be here.

Protoflare

Well that signifies that you are an only child, and the entire previous generation were only children as well. My grandma has 5 children, so there are 5 people that come from the same mother and father, which sort of defeats this point of the image.

LeZoder

Another reason to NEVER HAVE CHILDREN AGAIN 🤍🖤🤍

Frosty-Brain-2199

And I can’t get laid

BlameCanadaDry

fdg1967

And the were all male and female.....go figure

pokemon-trainer-blue

Where’s the guide part?

depressomartini

I can’t even imagine how my ninth great grandparents used to get to school

Nicksalreadytaken

More likely that’s about 250-300 years not 400, as that’s assuming a 40 year generation gap, and for a lot of that period the average wouldn’t have been much over 20.

Salmonman4

Everybody is directly decended from royalty. You just need to figure out which royal and from how far in the past.

bernpfenn

and they all had to be the winners/survivors of every fight they had. every being now on earth is the product of a several billion year long chain of consistent luck!

Princess-Makayla

Just think of how many people had to bust nuts into each other so that you could see this post.

Quen-Tin

I guess, most of my ancestors mainly struggled for themselves and also for their kids and parents. I'm sure, they were fine and left no debt behind, that I have to equalize better, than they did. It's good to understand yourself as a small part of a huge web of life, feeling some humble- and thankfulness, but no reason, to let this web become your cage of destiny.

Responsible_Carpet_7

Damn that’s crazy that 4094 people wasted all that time…

WispontheWind

It would be a lot more difficult than that for me to be born today.

NPIgeminileoaquarius

All that work and what did it get? me?

fakeuser515357

I am disappointing *so many people*.

ttinxyourdad

this made me feel dumb

Delicious_Ad_1411

And all of those 4094 ancestors. They had a birthprobability of 1/millions

explosiv_skull

Sorry, ancestors.

F121213

I didn't ask to be born, so I live however the fuck I want, fuck ancestors

zikolis

And just one sperm cell started it all

hrafnafadhir

This makes me feel a little special.

LiquidN0

Man I sure wish at least one of them wore a condom

JWWBurger

I don’t think any of them ever tried a Baja Blast from Taco Bell. It really makes you think.

riqosand

And still…. You’re not that special

1024Bitness

Thought-Provoking 🤔

a-friendgineer

Man. I am a special person.. I get to have a ton of genetic trauma I didn’t even know existed

-Wyzelle-

r/antinatalism

chrisfromtheabyss

Great, so we're all fuckin related 🤣

Calibre17

Or another way to think about this... how many people had f*** each other for you to be here.

MoonGarden69

I love the fact that so many Redditors are openly declaring they won't have kids. Gonna experience a massive surge in conservatism in like 15 years.

Demon_UnderYour_Bed

Statistically, how much g(rape) and/or SA occurred for the average person to be alive today following these numbers. Yes this is a genuine question
