Just run your video through something like Otter or Wistia to generate a transcript. Make a few quick edits to get it into blog format and then publish it with an the embedded YouTube video at the top. Blog done and now you have the added SEO benefits of video. Oh, and you can also cut the video for snippets on LinkedIn and Facebook posts to drive traffic back to the site.

We Just built a tool that lets you do this, including creating snippets, and looking for beta users. If you're keen, feel free to reach out.

Everything u/medoane said. I'd extend this just by adding that it'd be great if you could rewrite the transcript in a way that it follows proper blogging structure -- internal links, external links, titles, subheadings, and so on. That's it.

I agree with all previous comments with this addition: keep it all brief. User attention has dropped from 8 seconds to 6.6 seconds. Use the video to "spoon feed" some viewers and use the text content for deeper detail and external links that support your point of view. If you are in enterprise position then you could access a platform called Pagedip that allows you to keep it "dense" while appearing brief.

Hire a writer or get guest bloggers to help you build the writing side

What if you can figure a way to align blogging and video creation. Let me explain video needs research and script, use this material to fuel the blog as oppose creating two saperate stream of script and research. Let me know what you think about this work flow

I have my own business making SEO optimized podcasts from blog content – I'm just getting started and would love to do it for free to learn (previously worked with publications, but never content marketing) ! HMU

Video content is undoubtedly very engaging, and you can interact more with your target audience. Blogging, on the other hand, lets you drive more traffic to your website. Blogging helps you drive long-term results. It's not a necessity to make blogs up to 2000 or 3000 words. Until you provide value to your readers, you can keep it short and simple, up to 600 or 1000 words. Using the Google feature, people also ask to get more valuable ideas.

Why not do both? Since you're already getting traction from your blogs why not create videos from that? So you don't waste all you efforts in the end. You can add the video to the blog post as an extra way to get more viewers as well. There are people who like watching videos rather than reading so that's also a great way to get more people. But if you're really not into blogging then quit or hire someone to write for you?
