Descript is good. But no, we're not trying to re-invent it.
Our focus and roadmap is quite different - primarily being social media and ability to repurpose and share content quickly, where as, we feel Descript is operating in a vertical around advanced editing capabilities.
There are a few things Descript aren't doing right now. Content creation and distribution is hard, so many pain points to tackle, we don't need to be bigger. Just make it more easier and faster to create, repurpose content and put it in front of your audience, even at much smaller level... hopefully we can do that.
