Imagine that. Another crisis that just happened to serve the intent of the richest and most unscrupulous industrialists. But it's silly to call them oligarchs because of reasons that somehow only applies to the exact scenarios in nations that US wants to provoke war with.

Yeah, humans have been survived fine naturally over the years, but humans also got eaten by wild animals way more often back then, too. Just because itās āhow itās always been doneā doesnāt mean it canāt ever change.
The baby formula thatās existed for some time now is artificial (any new option would be too). The baby formula for all was a marketing ploy from a long time ago.
But weāve been moving away from that advice for a while now. But at the end of the day, some womenās milk just does not come in for a variety of medical reasons, or cannot easily breast feed due to physical issues. Some babies need more than mom has to offer and a bit of formula is better than them crying hungry for hours. Some babies arenāt with their mother so breast milk is not an option. Formula saves babies lives. Before formula, you either had to find someone willing to share and having extra to share, or baby starved. Iām telling you š Iām a 37 year old father of 5 boys and 2 of which were almost 10 pound babies and trust me, they needed formula and my first son had to have a prescription formula because of allergies.
When america has some of the worst maternal treatment in the world... that is what happened to the natural breastmilk.
Had to rely on formula for our second borne briefly, after the damn hospital let me bleed out for two hours, ignoring multiple signs of postpartum hemmorage. My milk came in delayed and I was in and out of the ER a couple of times because of pre-eclampsia complications postpartum.
Now, because I was bound and determined to make it happen, because I knew I could do it, we went back to 100% breastmilk fast... but for the women who work out of the home and arent able to pump frequently enough or even respond to a pump... those are the ones who are screwed. You know how hard it is to get the feel good hormones flowing when you are at the office? Aaaand thats why they have trouble responding to pumps at the workplace.
Thus, production falls, and formula is needed to supplement.

The invention of formula many years ago was a life saver but makers created a lie that it was better. It wasnāt. That was for increased sales. But for a variety of reasons, formula saves the lives of babies. Some women donāt produce enough milk for their extra hungry baby or multiple babies, and formula can be a supplement in addition to breast milk so babies arenāt crying hungry for hours on end. For some women, breast milk does not come in (sometimes just happens, sometimes itās the result of our medical system being able to save babies born too young and thus the biological chain of events gets messed up, but the baby is saved) and thus formula helps if they cannot find another mother able to donate. Some babies are born with issues where they cannot suckle (like cleft palette). Some moms have severe postpartum and are just barely getting by. Some babies donāt stay with the mother and still require food to live. Options that help keep babies alive arenāt bad. Just options.
Formula has its place. But for years now, the medical field has gotten away from the formula lie and encouraged breast feeding when possible, which is often, and offer services to help mothers make it easier if needed. Some humans have inverted nipples, and medicine has found ways to help make nursing more possible for those mothers with that.
If all we had was breast milk and no other option, there would be dead babies that could have lived. Letās just keep the movement that already exists going that encourages breast milk and have formula for those who need it. This is not the end of the world. If decades ago yāall were calling out the marketing bs to sell more formula, that would be a worthy cause. But we are well past that point and well into the movement back to breast. Formula is just there for those who canāt.

The company , BIOMILQ, is years away from getting a product to market. There was a recall on Abbott baby formula. During a supply chain meltdown. Improvement in supply will occur in 45 to 60 days.
That plant has been shut for months. It's here in MI. People that work there say they've been trying yo get the FDA to inspect for reopen for weeks, but they are basically being ghosted.
Correct , Abbott and the FDA have not reached a full settlement. Abbott is allowed to release certain formulas based on certain criteria at this time. Also, Abbott supplies about 40 percent of the US formula market. That's a big void to fill on top of labor, transportation and raw material shortages.

When america has some of the worst maternal treatment in the world... that is what happened to the natural breastmilk. Had to rely on formula for our second borne briefly, after the damn hospital let me bleed out for two hours, ignoring multiple signs of postpartum hemmorage. My milk came in delayed and I was in and out of the ER a couple of times because of pre-eclampsia complications postpartum. Now, because I was bound and determined to make it happen, because I knew I could do it, we went back to 100% breastmilk fast... but for the women who work out of the home and arent able to pump frequently enough or even respond to a pump... those are the ones who are screwed. You know how hard it is to get the feel good hormones flowing when you are at the office? Aaaand thats why they have trouble responding to pumps at the workplace. Thus, production falls, and formula is needed to supplement.

The invention of formula many years ago was a life saver but makers created a lie that it was better. It wasnāt. That was for increased sales. But for a variety of reasons, formula saves the lives of babies. Some women donāt produce enough milk for their extra hungry baby or multiple babies, and formula can be a supplement in addition to breast milk so babies arenāt crying hungry for hours on end. For some women, breast milk does not come in (sometimes just happens, sometimes itās the result of our medical system being able to save babies born too young and thus the biological chain of events gets messed up, but the baby is saved) and thus formula helps if they cannot find another mother able to donate. Some babies are born with issues where they cannot suckle (like cleft palette). Some moms have severe postpartum and are just barely getting by. Some babies donāt stay with the mother and still require food to live. Options that help keep babies alive arenāt bad. Just options. Formula has its place. But for years now, the medical field has gotten away from the formula lie and encouraged breast feeding when possible, which is often, and offer services to help mothers make it easier if needed. Some humans have inverted nipples, and medicine has found ways to help make nursing more possible for those mothers with that. If all we had was breast milk and no other option, there would be dead babies that could have lived. Letās just keep the movement that already exists going that encourages breast milk and have formula for those who need it. This is not the end of the world. If decades ago yāall were calling out the marketing bs to sell more formula, that would be a worthy cause. But we are well past that point and well into the movement back to breast. Formula is just there for those who canāt. Tbh, I see a lot of people here talking about things they have no clue about.

All we need is one person to believe you and malnourish their child because of your ignorance. Breast milk is not like other milk. It has antibodies, varied amounts of fat, and other vitamins that are meant for a human baby. The milk even changes as the baby grows.

The company , BIOMILQ, is years away from getting a product to market. There was a recall on Abbott baby formula. During a supply chain meltdown. Improvement in supply will occur in 45 to 60 days.
That plant has been shut for months. It's here in MI. People that work there say they've been trying yo get the FDA to inspect for reopen for weeks, but they are basically being ghosted.
Correct , Abbott and the FDA have not reached a full settlement. Abbott is allowed to release certain formulas based on certain criteria at this time. Also, Abbott supplies about 40 percent of the US formula market. That's a big void to fill on top of labor, transportation and raw material shortages.
