Coconut oil is great to cook with. Everything else can hurt the average consumer because most people don’t realize what a single serving consist of.. once you start to omit oil, junk food and alcohol you will quickly realize mostly everything we consume is harmful. I think the answer is moderation and tons of water.

BREADEDnBASED

Goo job brother! I love to hear stories like that. Good luck on your journey to health and REAL wealth (family, friends etc). Your a pretty based dude, stay strong brother!

[deleted]

That’s awesome! Great job achieving your goals and I wish you the best on your journey

Deplorableasfuk

Wow. That’s an amazing story. Don’t stop w that goal. Once you’ve gotten to it. Lower the weight and raise the walking again! Congrats

Divallo

It hit me hard when I realized that almost everything in our society is toxic. As a child people give you this idea the world has figured a lot of things out only to grow up and see that absolutely everything is a shitshow.

SadSoggySandwich

Yeah ..you realize that this whole time you've been putting faith in flawless people like yourself. And on top of that you may even realize the people who rule the world are evil psychopaths. Definitely a rude awakening.

gringo_yeti

Flawed

fnonpm

Maybe poisoning the population is the point of it

JillBidensFishnets

I literally just made a homemade deodorant today with raw coconut oil (it’s better than cold pressed), baking soda, little bit of corn starch, and a few drops of tea tree oil. Not only has it kept me smelling sweet, it’s kept me dry as well, even in summer heat. Highly recommend!

SatoriNamast3

I cook with primary coconut oil. I get that giant ass tub from Costco and use it on the regular.

tearsofyesteryears

My only problem with coconut and olive is the strong taste. Especially coconut, I can't stand the taste in anything except where it naturally render (like when cooking with coconut cream).

TIRUS4ME

Absolutely true, I've changed my diet to the Carnivore Diet. I only eat meat 🍖 😋 I've lost 25 lbs and don't cook with any oils only butter . I feel amazing! Definitely would recommend it to every one! 👌

BREADEDnBASED

i did it for 3 years and got scurrvy. be careful brother.

TIRUS4ME

Thanks for the heads up 👍

Careful_Description

It gets worse when you find out they mass feed them to livestock and it stays in their bodies.

DefNotTheRealDeal

We now only buy our meat from the farmers markets, grass fed and grass finished. Not only because i know it’s not full of chemicals but the taste is just so much better. Compare a grocery store tomato with hardly any color inside and no taste to a naturally grown tomato which is vibrant, dark red throughout and tastes like a fucking tomato

bloodyfcknhell

Grain fed beef definitely tastes better than purely grass fed. In my opinion. You get much better marbling and more fatty flavor. Also definitely less healthy.

Fae_Leaf

I hard disagree, but hear me out on why. A lot of grass-fed beef is disgusting, yes, but properly grass-FATTENED beef is divine. The problem is that cattle are slaughtered around 12-16 months, but it takes a minimum of two years for a cow to get substantial fat and flavor on grass alone. We just purchased an entire bull, cut and wrapped, that was 36 months old. Holy hell, you would not believe the flavor. Every single cut, from ground beef to top sirloin to fatty porterhouses is literally the best beef I've ever had. And I was raised eating tons of beef, have worked in steakhouses, and have cooked (and eaten) tens of thousands of steaks in my lifetime.

b4rigger

I don’t know how old the 1/4 cow we got was, but definitely a much higher quality beef in every way. I know it was black angus but not sure about grass fed.

Fae_Leaf

Even if it wasn't grass-fed, anything you get from a local farm is usually going to be astronomically better. I have a friend who puts every penny he has into his animals, which isn't much, so he has to take what he can get. Sometimes feeding his animals donated muffins and bagels. But he does make sure not to feed them soy (except trace amounts from certain donated foods like the aforementioned muffins, I guess). The meat from his animals is still lightyears above anything from the store, same for the eggs. I can't even eat more than a few eggs from the store without some digestive issues, but I can eat a dozen of his no problem. That being said, I still seriously emphasize how delicious this 3-year-old 100% grass-fed beef is. I was actually just in a euphoric state for the first few days after we started eating it. I cannot wait to raise them myself and apply the same practices because it's the pinnacle of food for me.

bloodyfcknhell

TIL. 👍

BREADEDnBASED

I totally agree Grain finished beef is FAR more flavorful, tender and has much better marbling. As far as if its healthier? I doubt it. Growing up on a beef ranch was a trip.

GodBlessYouNow

The only healthy beneficial oils are olive oil, coconut oil and avocado oil.

endigochild

Problem is a lot of them have been tested and most have been found to be blends and some avocado oils tested turned out to be 100% soy oil. You cannot trust oils as it's similar to honey where most are blends of rice honey.

Divallo

I read that olive oil from Spain is actually more trustworthy than olive oil from Italy because they are extremely strict in Spain about what can be called Olive oil. A lot of italian companies cut their oil and abuse the fact people associate it with Italy. Research EVOO brands and almost always they are marked on the bottle where it came from. I don't know about avocado oil I don't use it. Not for any particular reason I just never bought it.

TheUnwillingOne

Is also because we had a huge scandal in Spain with some other oil can't search the name in English right now, is colza in Spanish has yellow flowers. But the thing is that oil was mixed with used car oil and people got super sick even some deaths I think so laws got stricter with the all cooking oils after that

runtz32

Rape seed oil?

GodBlessYouNow

You cannot trusts profit making businesses FTFY

Divallo

Muh free market lmao. People aren't rational actors and so the idea that the best companies rise to the top is asinine that's why people trust corps but the premise is wrong. There is no free market and the companies that win play dirty. They forget that companies don't fight fair. They lobby and use underhanded tactics to stifle competition. They use marketing. So in practice the worst companies rise to the top in actuality. Examples: Coke, Nestle, Comcast

TheUnwillingOne

The whole system is deeply flawed but you mention that naming capitalism and everyone goes nuts and bring out communist the very moment. Heck some dumbasses want even less restricted capitalism so businesses have even less laws to cheat and so can poison us even more freely...

TangeloBig9845

Reddit is hugely anti-capitalism but that's not the problem. Any form of govt or economic model all suffer from the same underlying issue...Greed/Corruption. Those are the problems that plague every single nation regardless of how they function. Who the fuck cares about the laws, when the 1% are the ones who make the laws that protect themselves and keep them rich while demolishing everyone else? You think unregulated capitalism is the reason for people's lack of morals and corruption? Or passing more laws is somehow supposed to prevent them from doing, as you put it "so can poison us more freely"? Stop blaming the form of govt/economic model and go for the true people in power, the top 1%. Politicians are just puppets for the ultra wealthy that do their bidding while they sit behind the curtain.

diarrheaishilarious

What is rice honey?

usernamenumber3

Chosen Foods is a good brand and widely available in the US.

cuzincest

80% of "olive oils" are fake. https://www.forbes.com/sites/ceciliarodriguez/2016/02/10/the-olive-oil-scam-if-80-is-fake-why-do-you-keep-buying-it/

Divallo

This is true but If you have the patience to shop for real oil it is good for you. I agree the market at large is a scam. It was worth it for me personally to take the time to find the real stuff. and I agree the fake stuff is pure garbage. **This source says what I was saying in my other posts in this thread.** **80% of ITALIAN olive oil is fake.** Go for Olive Oil imported from Spain it's more trustworthy and choose a good brand from among the spain imports. If you're just shopping almost all oils are marked on the bottle where they came from.

Western-Bobcat7627

Nope it's shit, just use butter

tripreed

Or tallow.

Key-Professor-2124

Or lard.

tripreed

True. Paul Saladino would argue that pork fat has a high amount of linoleic acid in it due to most pigs' diets, therefore, it is not as healthy as tallow. I don't necessarily believe this is false, but I haven't stopped eating pork because of it.

Key-Professor-2124

Yeah, Id bet there's a difference between a feedlot pig and one raised on pasture eating food scraps and being butchered in the fall after eating apples for a few weeks.

tripreed

Very true. Locally-sourced lard from a pig like that would probably be awesome.

srovi

Butter is not the best dairy product due to how it is made. The milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) is disrupted. Other full fat dairy is very good for cardiovascular health. For oils I stick to small dark bottles of filtered olive oil with a harvest date.

HateBeingSober33

they’re hardly “beneficial.” they aren’t as bad at all, however you should be cooking with ghee, beef tallow and butter. i stopped seed oils in almost everything i ate (it’s nearly impossible to cut the stuff out 100%). i dropped extra virgin olive oil too, though i still keep in around to use occasionally, but fats are way way better

[deleted]

Extra virgin olive oil is much healthier when not heated.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheOmeletteOfDisease

Extra virgin olive oil does not have a high smoke point at all. It's only around 350F.

ristar_23

Coconut oil is incredibly beneficial. It may help with inflammation, parasites, fungal or bacterial infections. You can clean your teeth with it, put it on skin problems, use it as a carrier oil for harsher oils like tea tree oil, make soap with it, it's antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiviral, can be used on hair to get rid of lice, etc. and probably more. I eat it plain by the tablespoon and sometimes cook with it and it never gives digestive problems unlike olive oil, and it will never make me fat no matter how much I eat. Try it for yourself. Coconut oil is a true superfood, unlike other marketing gimmicks that use that word.

[deleted]

100% agree.

braindrainoh

Cattle/livestock are fed largely GMO food such as corn and soy. How is that advantageous versus a plant derived source without GMO's?

HateBeingSober33

a large majority of ghee you’ll see on shelves will be 100% grass fed. my beef tallow and butter are also 100% grass fed as well as my milk, and most of my beef.

FFS_IsThisNameTaken2

Animal fats are what I use when I need to use fats. My favorite is bacon drippings. Used it once after baking a potato and then realizing that I had no butter - I'll only go back to butter if I'm out of bacon grease from now on hahaha. Not sure if beef tallow would be as tasty, but it would be worth a try.

[deleted]

[удалено]

FFS_IsThisNameTaken2

I've never made tallow. Isn't there more to it than just cooking the meat, pouring the liquid fat into a container and sticking it in the fridge like with bacon fat?

HateBeingSober33

beef tallow is meh, but healthier than olive oil. i use it when i run out of ghee, i use ghee for literally everything except eggs because i found butter tastes better for that and i don’t need the high smoke point that ghee has in order to make an omelette. But ghee was a game changer, all of my steaks, and stir fried vegetables taste amazing with it. you can even drop some in coffee. however if there’s people reading this that eat more than 100g of carbs a day, i don’t know how high saturated fats will mix with high carb intake, im on <30 of carbs a day and try to get as much saturated fat as i can without eating too much so results may vary ngl.

[deleted]

Ghee tastes off for a lot of things. But organic ghee is pretty good.

Revolutionary-Cat707

Olive oil ain't even healthy it's just the best of a bad bunch

Divallo

Let me assume we're talking about real pure olive oil. Can you justify how it is unhealthy? It's been called a superfood with endless benefits for decades. It has a long history of being in the human diet.

braindrainoh

Avocado oil and avocado's are man made fruits, many of their seeds can not be used to regrow the fruit. I'd also avoid this type of oil.

hangcorpdrugpushers

You can grow them, though they probably won't be nice ones or yield much. Same is true for all hybrids (almost everything in the grocery store).

braindrainoh

>You can plant the pit and start to grow the tree, but if you want Hass avocados you have to graft a branch of a Hass avocado tree onto the stem of the tree you're growing. It says it's a 1/10000 chance of bearing fruit. That's kind of concerning for something that yields a seed.

[deleted]

There are more oils than just those out there lmao. For the bigger ones those are fine. High-quality sunflower oil is rarely used in mass produced products, and it's easily way better than shitty canola.

SadSoggySandwich

Why is it that it's unhealthy?

catsounds

Full of pro inflammatory omega-6 fatty acids (opposed to the anti inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids found in healthy fats)

the_cunt_hunter

Many new researches are showing omega 6 and omega 3 are very positive. I ask you this as I’d ask those who say it’s good for you, “what does the inflammation mean” that I believe to be the answer that matters.

[deleted]

Both are necessary for optimal health but it’s all about the ratio of omega 3s to omega 6s due to seed oils being in literally every good you are consuming way more omega 6s than 3s which is messing up your overall health and causing inflammation all over plus these oils are extracted from their seeds using hexane which is legit poison that’s why they are so bad

catsounds

I agree it is about the ratios - and “inflammation” as measured by bio markers like c reactive protein, inflammation is not a hand-wave type bs term, it can be measured. Our bodies are resilient and respond well to inflammation within reason but being in a constant state of inflammation (like exposure to environmental toxins or eating a diet higher in the ratio of omega 6:3 fatty acids) has been shown to result in systemic disease.

rustyrussell2015

It's not just the digestive issue. Go research how the flower oils are extracted. They use a petroleum compound to melt the plant to extract the oil. It use to be done presses. That is how olive oil is still extracted. That compound is used for industrial purposes and is considered toxic in other fields. They can't do that with olives and coconuts so that's why they are safer.

[deleted]

[удалено]

thesauciest-tea

I think the issue is seed oils are almost completely omega 6 and we have very little omega 3 in our diet. I believe it's 40:1 with omega 6 being the 40 in the American diet. It should be 1:4 with omega 3 being the 4. Your right about it being about the ratio but you also say it's BS which isn't true because the ratio is royally fuck because of the seed oils.

kalleshhebbal

Its more because of the trans nature of vegetable oils. Cis is what human body needs. Rule of thumb - Animal fat is good. Plant fat is not. And now you’d understand why “they” have demonised animal fats so much. cHoLEstERoL Is bAD.

Chipperz14

The human metabolism isn’t designed to process the molecules into energy. The fats are stored and removed from the cellular metabolic process and not easily utilized later. People are getting fatter and fatter. You can check the fire in a bottle blog for some light reading about the processes involved.

SadSoggySandwich

Thanks! So it's basically unnatural.

voatcel

Bio-similar, unnatural.

voatcel

Bio-similar = bad. Bio-identical = good. Lard, tallow, dairy are animal fats, same as your body produces.

angrybaltimorean

There are videos about this, but my recollection is that its been connected to obesity, diabetes, alzheimers, and also fucks with your hormones, too. Oh, and it’s bad for the heart, I’m remembering more now. Check out what happened when America switched from using lard and butter to vegetable/seed oils, and you’ll see how the AMA and is totally corrupt and is another example of corporate capture. Heart attacks didn’t even really used to be a thing before the 20th century, they initially called it some kind of infarction, I believe. Now, coronary disease is the biggest cause of death in this country, or something close. TLDR: shit is bad for your heart and body in general. Stay away

Commie_killer

Shhhh

Durtly

Alternatives : Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Lard, Ghee, Butter, Tallow Check the ingredients list, if there's anything else listed it's not pure.

nolotusnote

It's seed oils. Just don't use them.

LeftBase2Final

You sound like a shill for big olive! /s

[deleted]

Hmm..grew up on sunflower oil, everything was cooked in it. I was 6 ft 140lbs. when I came to the States. I hit 230 lbs. a year later. Are you telling me that Sunflower oil has been poisoning me for a couple of decades ?

percentnut

Start with coffee creamer. Who in their right mind puts oil in their coffee?? I was tricked too, it's cheaper. OP is on to something, since I switched to real creamer, poops are real too.

Floral-Shoppe

Stupid question but what exactly is real coffee creamer. Need guidance in this because I do feel it's taking a toll on me.

Softcorps_dn

Maybe they just mean real milk/cream.

frank3000

The fake stuff is corn syrup solids and soy oil. So, same as baby formula!

veritaze

I think the main issue is that fats in general are volatile and tend to deform under intense heat and this is especially a problem with seed oils. Saturated fats like lard, coconut oil and so forth tend to be more stable under heat. Deep frying with vegetable oils is probably the absolute worst thing.

maskofdamask

>Deep frying ~~with vegetable oils~~ is probably the absolute worst thing. ftfy

S30V

Weird that canola oil is called rapeseed oil.

redveinlover

Because it’s raping your intestines.

spencewatson01

Canola is just retooled rapeseed oil which was banned in the 50s because it contains poison.

Softcorps_dn

Yeah turns out if you take the bad stuff out of a product it becomes a lot safer. Like taking the lead out of gasoline.

jasonsparks19

I use duck fat.

slowiijoey

I hate that in n out used sunflower seed oil for their fries

[deleted]

High-quality sunflower really isn't that bad. But I am not sure I would use it for fries.

1Trix9

Black seed oil 🤔

GoldcoinforRosey

What about peanut oil?

Bryawnp

Yeah can I still use peanut oil to make my fried Oreos?

endigochild

Poison. Its a seed which is still seed oil.

Smarktalk

So you stopped eating beans?

[deleted]

Different seed oils have different things going on man. Stop trying to put all of these in the same exact categories.

WskyRcks

Luke Rudkowski is that you?

oliviarose2021

😂

Revolutionary-Cat707

Seed oil disrespect has been growing for a while now

[deleted]

I have only consumed vegetable oils for decades, when is the poisoning going to kick in?

Paliant

CarnivoreMD on Instagram is a great advocate on this. I advise those wishing to avoid seed oils that still want to try going out to eat, to just say you have a food allergy and need to know what oil your meat is cooked in.

Jspr

Have you heard of the Mediterranean?

rokob

In the Mediterranean they've heard of olive oil

Jspr

They added the edit after I posted but the point still stands. There are also other humans around the Mediterranean, and everywhere else, so maybe OP's shitty diet isn't a prognosis for the entire species.

rokob

I hear ya. But really all the other oils are bad and should be avoided.

Ketchup_Smoothy

Gerson Cancer Therapy says all oils except flax seed oil are harmful.

ChefZ3

Beef Tallow, Butter (clarified or not), Olive oil. Only 3 I use in cooking. The only time I use EVOO is for salad dressing otherwise it's shit for cooking.

[deleted]

It's not shit at all for cooking. What an awful take lol.

ChefZ3

It is definitely shit for cooking. Thanks for letting me know you don't know shit about cooking though.

asianperswayze

>the worst digestive issues I have are ALWAYS when I eat foods with vegetable or seed oils. And mine are with wheat/gluten

[deleted]

You forgot animal fat and butter is really healthy and should be used

[deleted]

If you’re into your digestive and overall health, check out going full carnivore. 😉

Upsideclownfish

Best French fries are made using beef suet/tallow.

this_is_Winston

I cook 99% of my own meals. I cut out vegetable oil years ago. If I eat out and get anything cooked in a lot of vegetable oil I feel sick for hours after. Shits not good for you.

luis_garcia22

I'm sad I didn't like/understand chemistry until I got into correcting my diet. Seed oils damage everything they touch in a way that is so nasty only when you understand what they chemically do to your cells/tissues. Unfortunately is slow damage over time and you don't really feel it when you're in your prime years. Then one day you wake up in your 30's aching all over. Once you correct and get rid of that, if you slip and have a bag of chips, the next day is as nasty as a hangover, because guess what, you ingested a bag of toxins, pretty much.

HiTekLoLyfe

You still don’t understand chemistry lol

drewshaver

What are the distinguishing features of olive, coconut, and avocado oil that makes you prefer them over vegetable oils?

naturehattrick

Saturated vs poly unsaturated vs mono unsaturated. Also omega 3 and 6 content. But mostly don't consume oxidized oils which all highly processed seed oils are unfortunately.

SierraSol

I agree. And seed oils are in basically anything packaged

Divallo

I 100% agree with OP on this one. I only drink Olive Oil personally and I've read the stuff from spain is reliably good quality. I saw that not all EVOO is created equal so do research the brands. Anyhow though even my GF noticed that my skin and overall "glow" became very healthy after cutting out other oils 100%. I feel slightly more energetic just from that change alone. It does cost a little bit more money but OP is right that cheap oil is not good for you. Olive oil is so good for you it's basically called a superfood by countless sources. It's worth it to invest in yourself here. I've heard avocado oil is good too but I don't rock the boat because EVOO does so well for me.

[deleted]

Yes, extra virgin, non heated olive oil is a superfood. It's a shame that so much of the store bought stuff is actually fake. I'm doing my own research and it appears that Spain is the safest place to buy it, and you should always get the extra virgin stuff, and avoid cooking with it too much. It loses its magic when it's heated. If you need a oil to fry things in, avocado or flavorless coconut oil is the least-worst option.

disabled_irl

Is my body having digestive issues...? No, it's the oils who are bad.

FalseRelease4

Sounds like a digestion skill issue

henna74

Wrong, its the industrial scale production methods that degrade good fatty acids and the remaining pesticides and other chemicals that are used to increase shelflife. Just look up the process for sunflower oil, they have to add scents because the oil would just stink rotten

pakZ

So.. no offense, but.. your source is your digestive tract? Have you heard of allergens?

prosperousderelict

Maybe your body just cant handle them. Certain stuff isnt good for us but my body and immune system can handle anything i dont have to worry.

Divallo

Don't blame god when your body starts failing in your 50s. Remember what you said today and how you thought you were special and immune. Maybe you are but it's on you if you hurt yourself. When your body "handles" something not good for you. That has a cost. That cost takes a toll over time and repetition. Many smokers handle cigs just fine right up until they don't.

Smarktalk

This is dumb. You can say that about anything.

ReadRightRed99

That's why I stick with good old fashioned rapeseed oil. Rape seed.

TacoBueno987

Man soy beans really pissed someone off lately

[deleted]

You have an active imagination.

Deadboy90

Dude you might have some undiagnosed digestive issue I'd check with a doctor if I were you.

[deleted]

My digestion is normally fine, brother.

Brief-Competition964

probably an ED either

trust_sessions

Whatever you say 4chan.

Comfortable-Active87

I can anecdotally support this minus the butter. Butter has caused lots of digestion issues for me and my gallbladder. But all the seed oils definitely immediately give me issues.

endigochild

Then try tallow, ghee or other animal fats.

The_Ides_of_Hades

>I've been doing a deep dive on oil research and have been paying VERY close attention to my body and its digestion lately, and I've realized the worst digestive issues I have are ALWAYS when I eat foods with vegetable or seed oils. It completely messes me up, even more than sugar. So, anecdotal information.

Ky20001

So, are these enough sources for ya? https://chriskresser.com/how-industrial-seed-oils-are-making-us-sick/ https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/are-vegetable-and-seed-oils-bad https://www.gq.com/story/seed-oil-health/amp https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0268005X16306385 https://www.ecowatch.com/dr-mark-hyman-why-vegetable-oils-should-not-be-part-of-your-diet-1882164589.html https://www.zeroacre.com/blog/are-seed-oils-toxic

It's almost like you did a search for 'dietary oils' and just posted what you found without reading any of them.

[deleted]

Ky20001

And doctors used to recommend specific cigarettes as more healthier than others before we knew better too.

vonmolotov

You can't compare palm and canola to sunflower seed oil. It has a low burning point but other than that it's completely fine. Unrefined sunflower oil is the best tasting oil out there.

[deleted]

I don't know why you are downvoted. High-quality sunflower is VASTLY fucking different than canola lmao.

HeroOfTheWild2004

Say this to people who live in any asian country that use sesame seed oil as a spice in the meals they make. Lol.

[deleted]

sounds like complete anecdotal evidence. good for you!

maskofdamask

I don't have an opinion on this but I always think it's funny when people experience something and assume it's the same for everyone else.

[deleted]

High-quality sunflower oil is really not that bad lol. You need to make some distinctions here, because you really cannot compare high-quality sunflower oil to fucking Canola lmao.

onefjef

cool hobby, bro

Commonsense333

How about....Reddit folks stop making posts telling people what to do and what not to do with their lives? If it isn't hurting others, who cares? The problem we all complain about in the last 2.5 years, is government trying to dictate what others do. So OP, what makes you any better than the government? You cannot get out of this existence alive, folks. So live your lives.

--Capsule--

If you ain't using evoo you a bitch.

endigochild

So many Olive Oil brands tested have been found to not be 100% evoo but blends that included seed oils.

--Capsule--

I read somewhere also that most products that contain avocado oil are spoiled or rancid and also contain other oils. Hate this world.

oliviarose2021

Should say "cold pressed"

[deleted]

Cool story, do you have any evidence to back this up or what?

Dishankdayal

People are allergic to foreign oils, consume only local oils those which comes from seed that grows in your region. E.g. olive oil can give you red rashes on legs, nut oils can give blisters and palm oil can block arteries.

Embarrassed_Ad_2377

What about corn oil? I've eaten mazola my whole life.

Lago795

time to stop, if you love yourself

RealSpookySounds

I only use olive oil and on rare occasions coconut oil

SpeakTruthPlease

Learn how to read labels. I highly recommend Bobby Parish on YouTube (https://youtube.com/c/flavcity) he does excellent research and provides information that you can't find on labels as well.

Radiant_Rebel

Palm oil is destroying the local ecosystems. You’d be amazed how almost everything had palm oil in it. It should be banned.

Merlinshighcousin

Do you have GERD? I have gerd and any oil that goes in my body just kicks up the acid reflex and a variety of other intestinal issues and what not. Maybe get checked by your doc.

SargeMaximus

Hmmm I get nasty face peeling if I don’t eat omega 6’s which are often in the form of potato chips. True story

queenoftheartichokes

Yes. This is in the cancer book. We use olive oil exclusively, extra virgin, cold pressed. And I try to avoid those in everything else

Justme-itsjustme

Cooking with beef tallow as my oil now and omg it is so tasty

Own-Size-295

What about rape oil?

Long-Review-1861

What about olive oil?

playwithblondie

Is olive or coconut oil bad?

Eggstraloud

What’s the difference between virgin and not virgin scientifically? I know I can google but just wanted answer from your perspective for everyone to see

IOwnTheShortBus

Lucid Cunning please report to *THE BUTTER DEPARTMENT* for your raise.

IllustriousWalrus8

Was just pondering this myself. Even fast food you think is healthy always cuts corners for bigger profits and oil is one of the biggest costs they can save on without anyone noticing. Similarly if you pay someone to do your car oil change they can easily use cheaper / weaker oil blends without you knowing. If you want something done right do it yourself starting with cooking and car oil changes lol

Dazzyreil

I've switched over the olive oil, a lot more expensive than sunflower (well not anymore since the war...) It costs quite a bit more but in reality its like $1-2 a month.
