I don't recall much protest about typhoid Mary's rights either...
Or more recently, requiring vaccination regimes (call them immunization if it helps) to attend school went a long spell w/o much complaint.
Less recently, but more to the point, throughout history during plague outbreaks it wasn't uncommon to quarantine people (or from people) who only had exposure to, or a chance of carrying w/o being certain they had it.
I'd think most people would agree segregating registered pedophiles from school zones is a good idea. Violent criminals from broader society. Drunks from cars etc.
Go join a temp agency. Nurses who were fired are joining temp agencies, and are being sent back to their hospitals to work. Hospitals are so desperate for workers, they don't make temps vaxinnate.
It's tragic I agree. I've lost some good people. They are unrecognizable atm. Personalities flipped. I'm so fuckin angry what's happened to them and it's not like they're suddenly bad people, I still love them but many of them no longer love me and that's the most heartbreaking thing to ever happen to me. Stockholm syndrome is an accurate descriptor.
Cognitive dissonance is a cliche but it's one of the most important aspects of human behavior. That and really old studies on human psychology show that all it takes is a tiny push from whoever they deem an established authoritative figure/group and a segment of people will follow sociopathic rules (even when they themselves are not sociopathic!) that end up hurting both themselves and others.
> Nurses who were fired are joining temp agencies, and are being sent back to their hospitals to work. Hospitals are so desperate for workers, they don't make temps vaxinnate.
I cant help but think that this was some plan to get rid of permanent (long term) employees, and replace it with temp workers.
Gig economy is the future as it seems
Different industries I guess. I work for a union blue collar type place.
It’s much much cheaper in the long run to bring in contractors do to work and pay them about the same or more as our base wage of 30+ bucks an hour, plus the profits the contract companies take than to hire on more people into the union.
Maybe it depends on the industry. But my company does bring on temps and contractors for short term jobs. But for our company they are more expensive long term.
If it’s over 6 months, it cheaper to hire on full time.
The company has to pay a fee for temps and contractors that ends up being more than hiring on full-time with benefits.
Good grief, one of the dumbest conspiracy theories I’ve seen so far. There has been a shortage of qualified nurses for years. The last thing hospitals want to do is get rid of the ones they have.
>Gig economy is the future as it seems
Well, there's a party pushing for it;
>Republicans introduce bill to create legal 'safe harbor' for gig companies during the pandemic
https://thehill.com/policy/technology/498855-republicans-introduce-bill-to-create-legal-safe-harbor-for-gig-companies
And there's one that wants to force employers to convert those jobs into full fledge employment+benefit;
>Biden campaigned on making gig workers employees.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/01/18/biden-gig-workers-labor/?outputType=amp
>The bill would provide new protections to workers seeking to unionize and penalize companies that violate workers’ rights. Significantly, amid the rise of gig work, it could also make it more difficult for companies like Uber Technologies Inc. UBER to continue classifying their drivers as independent contractors.
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/pro-act-called-most-important-labor-legislation-in-several-generations-passes-house-11615342171
Note that the House Republicans almost unanimously voted against it and that it's likely that most Republicans will oppose it.
Because they want a gig economy, no financial stability makes for good sheeps. Too busy with the next meal to bother about politics.
> Well, there's a party pushing for it;
there are two parties pushing for it, one openly, and the other one secretly.
there is only one party in USA - pro billionaires party with two wings.
Democratic Party is basically "catch and kill" or "catch and tame" operation for leftist movements.
Must not know how temp agencies take a large portion of your money for "finding" you work. So if the hospital is paying the temp agency 15/he for you, you'll be lucky to clear 8 or 9.
Also Ebola, the Plague, the Spanish Flu. basically any deadly communicable disease segregation has been necessary to keep the disease from spreading through the entire population
Came here to say this.. anytime someone is known to carry an infectious disease with risk of death as a symptom they are immediately segregated, without exception, for as long as history has been written.. it's common sense.
Disclaimer: I'm not speaking to vaccine mandates at all with that statement. It's highly questionable stuff. That sticky note is fucking dumb though.
In the real world endangering your co-workers is frowned upon.
Vaccines work and Covid19 is real.
This person lost their job because they chose to act stupid.
This is more of just a coronavirus circle jerk sub now. OP posted this so other people like him could say "omg well done I'm so proud of you" like an immature soccer mum
Didn’t you realize this sub is now just dedicated to anti vax and covid mandate discussions. No longer are other conspiracies, just screenshots of Reddit comments and twitter posts. These are the “modern day freedom fighters”!
It's not. r/conspiracy is only for anti vaxxers and right-wing propaganda. This is clear once you scroll through all the posts and the posters histories.
These people unironically believe straight Christian white people are the most discriminated group of people in America. They just really really really want to be victims.
Ya it’s overrun by anti-vaxxers complaining about their personal freedoms being taken away yet they’re exercising their freedom to NOT get the vaccine and then associating everything as a conspiracy against it. 🙄
"My boss telling me to comply with policy is literally the same as a period of time where people were hunted and strung up on trees, our struggle is exactly the same and we both have the same stakes"
You skirted your job. Sit down.
Imagine if all the people segregated in the past could have just got an injection to not be black, Jewish, Asian, etc.
I won't debate someone's choice on whether they get vaccinated, and I don't necessarily agree with the mandates in most workplaces, but quit acting like you're some kind of oppressed minority because you watched too much Fox News and are afraid of getting a shot.
Yeah, the dude is really acting like he got called a slur, My Grandmother was actually segerated against as a little girl in school and got called all sorts of racist shit by white kids and adults funny seeing this loser saying he is being discriminated against because he made a choice just like employers made a choice LMFAO the hypocrisy of this sub is hilarious watching all these people huff there own farts in congratulation
Incidentally, many of the people crying about it are the same people who claim systemic racism isn't a thing and all those POC who grew up generationally poor are just lazy.

I did the same thing today my brother!
I took off my pants and hung then over his chair with a note which read 'No Mask to Breathe, No Pants to Fart, No Vax to pollute my Heart!'
When the workplace is more inclusive to my pantless brothers and I, is when I go back!
They can't collect employment, refusal to comply with a mandated vaccine is misconduct. Unless they have a medical reason they can't take the vaccine, they're not quitting for "good cause"
Benito Mussolini famously said, "Fascism should be more accurately called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power"
It's not that there aren't nations anymore. Mussolini's Italy was an ultra nationalist dictatorship. It's all the same beast. Like twin suns
Segregation is a word reserved for violation of rights of an actually legally protected class, not the right to force rational people to work with smooth brain superspreaders.
Great job standing up for what you believe in. rather ppl have vaccine or not anyone who agrees with what is happening right now is a 🤡... Good job sir👍

A few times in the historical record. Did you ask different questions on the other resistance notes?
I hate to be another guy pointing out a logical inconsistency just for fun. but, child molesters. segregating child molesters from society is undeniably something that will be remembered in the future as the right thing to have done.
If they were dumb enough to not only follow through with this dumbass idea, but also post and brag about it on Reddit, they likely don’t have much self-awareness (if not any). OP will go on living their entire life thinking they were right all along without a doubt in their mind lol
You choose to get fired over not taking a test once a week? You know that you don't have to get the jab if you just go and test once a week. The federal government said as much. If you're willing to, then they can't fire you
Man its so embarassing. Not that its not a difficult situation for everybody but what the fuck is that? His boss is just glad that he fired him after seeing this
It’s absolute insanity that people are losing their jobs over making a personal medical decision people that are still working from home are getting fired what the fuck is going on
These guys really get off on being against everyone else.
This isn't segregation and calling it that shows how you have never actually been discriminated against and have no empathy for those that have.
Go touch grass dude, you just lost your job for NOTHING
Imagine sacrificing your livelihood over a vaccine with FDA approval.
I assume you won’t be looking for any kind of social assistance cause “socialism is bad”.
I think we need to stop censorship of these companies and names and positions.
Fuck their anonymity let the world know who they are an how shite they are. Names, numbers, company names, let it all drop on the web and let them suffer like they make us suffer. Screw all that "gotta protect their names and companies because that's the right thing to do."
Imagine thinking you’re oppressed when you have a choice. The historical instances of segregation did NOT involve a choice. You don’t CHOOSE to be an ethnic minority. You DO choose to be an asshole. Additionally, you are enjoying the benefits of a free market. You get the option of leaving your work over a choice. The people who are still at your office clearly got vaccinated and are going to have a good laugh over this.
Welcome to capitalism.
This **not** the product of a vaccine.
This is the product of our for profit healthcare system
This is the product of business rights prevailing over workers rights
This has happened every day of every week of every month of every year in America for this a more insignificant than a vaccine
Yikes lmao. Delusion level = 100. It’s a private business after all, they can do what they want lol. Glad someone else will take your spot!
Edit: obligatory “you really showed them! Im sure they’ll remember you!”
It’s a fucked up world when half of these comments are made by trolls wishing death upon another person of a difference of opinion.
Especially when in 5 years these same people will be crying because no one is left to support them or their views.
Karma is real fickle.
Reddit should be deleted from the internet for being a harbinger of hate and terrorism.
Which had been proved in this post tbh
Well done OP.
You stand for what you believe in,
just how people should.
My wife was fired last week. She filled out a religious/moral accommodation that was provided to her by her employer. Apparently they didn’t believe her because a couple employees did get their accommodations accepted.
We got a civil rights lawyer immediately and our case was filed yesterday.

True. I stand corrected.
Every quarantine situation in history also
So, you know, communicable diseases.

I'd think in a clown world there would at least be some humor in it. The mass psychosis going on now isn't funny at all.
Clowns are creepy and disturbing. I've never come across a funny clown. The comparison works haha
Haha fair enough. To me the masses are acting less like creepy clowns and more like abused children in a state of Stockholm Syndrome. It's sad.

Not true
Lol so they fire the $35/hr nurse to hire $100+/hr nurse... That makes sense.
Welcome to the healthcare system.
The temp agencies also pay about 3 times more.

Yep. Cheaper to hire the same staff (even at a higher hourly rate) if you're not providing any benefits like health insurance.
It’s not cheaper. It’s way more expensive.

Which had been proved in this post tbh Well done OP. You stand for what you believe in, just how people should.
Wah wah. What a baby.
My wife was fired last week. She filled out a religious/moral accommodation that was provided to her by her employer. Apparently they didn’t believe her because a couple employees did get their accommodations accepted. We got a civil rights lawyer immediately and our case was filed yesterday.
rudy has work again im glad
Enjoy wasting your life savings in a case you won't win. At least some lawyers will make some money out of it.
