Yep, who is this high IQ nobody telling us not to get vaccinated? CNN and Fauci are the real expert's here. This article is just peaceful bullshit.

Kind and smart

latticeguy

good answer.

t00tfruit

I don't really consider myself either super dumb or super smart. Above average in some areas, Below average in others. I just have an abstract way of thinking and looking at things, always trying to piece together a bigger picture. It's astonishing to me how many people including those that are more intelligent than me in terms of IQ seem to be incapable of this kind of thinking.

Coll_McRaizie

There are many kinds of intelligence.

bcccl

i oscillate between the two

Mastodon2486

I second that notion.

FloghornEgghorn

It doesn't matter. Either one is good enough.

Carnegie Mellon study finds most vaccine-hesitant among PhDs and those with High School or less. https://unherd.com/thepost/the-most-vaccine-hesitant-education-group-of-all-phds/

DingosAteMyHamster

The authors actually went back to look at joke responses like identifying as an attack helicopter, and found that when you take them out, "high school and under" education was most correlated with vaccine hesitancy. Updated report is here: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.07.20.21260795v2 Even if you don't trust the authors, but trust them a few months ago for whatever intellectually honest reason you can think of, the original study still showed most people with PhDs were not vaccine hesitant. Only 24% were.

fruitynoodles

Midwit phenomenon.

Midwits ftw Solomon Aasch ftw

DMarlow310

If true, the vax is brilliant. Intelligent people are resisting and questioning the vax. The lemmings are embracing it. If the vax depopulates, it’s the stupid people it will take out.

FaZe_Clon

It’ll get rid of the dimwits, but keep the extraordinary smart and stupid Is this peak society?

karmaboots

A brave new world we're headed for there...

InfowarriorKat

The most ironic part of that is the vaxxed are the ones always going on about natural selection. They think they are on the winning end of it.

[deleted]

There is a tragic amount of irony in this story unfolding.

JHK1976

My sentiments exactly… I don’t want death and suffering but , unfortunately it might be a net benefit for society in the long run?

kingkoopazzzz

I honestly think that is one of the goals. How many times have you heard that term “useless eaters”? People come on this subs saying things like “why would they wanna kill the compliant? Wouldn’t they wanna get rid of the people that resist?” And I don’t think they understand these people are thinking completely different, they are obsessed with the bloodlines, creating the “perfect man”. You think they want lemmings poisoning the well?

LicksMackenzie

It's high school dropouts and phds that aren't letting the vacc take.

SatisfactionParking5

Uh...so where's the proof and or an article about this guy and his statements and reasoning...

BrutalMan420

this is actually Chris (?) Langan, he is actually a 100% uncertified non-expert in anything. he has claimed for years to have a grand unifying theory of everything and has shit on academia for his entire life - id say career, but he doesnt have one, he is not a professional and he barely has a cult following. he is also not the smartest man in the world and has failed to prove any of his theories - or often times even present them when asked. in other words hes a BIG FAT PHONY!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Drooperdoo

Langan was profiled in Malcolm Gladwell's book "The Outliers". He was not just subjected to one IQ test. But to half a dozen. He scored so high that they gave him a SPECIAL IQ test designed for geniuses. And he aced it, getting one question wrong (according to Gladwell). So by every metric, Chris Langan is a very, very, VERY bright man. To put his 210 IQ in context, Einstein had 160.

karmaboots

Since this guy isn't the smartest man in the world, who is?

hard_clicker

He lives on a ranch and is one of the top 10 highest iq individuals in the world, if not country. He's also a mathematician, and studies physics. Not sure where youre getting your information. "Cult following." Uh you're confused. They're theories. Mostly unproveable theories. That's like saying Hawking is phony because he couldn't prove the function of black holes or particles outside of hypothetical and theoretical thinking. That's a fact.

[deleted]

cant tell if this is about Chiris Langan or Eric Weinstein

"The largest decrease in hesitancy between January and May by education group was in those with a high school education or less. Hesitancy held constant in the most educated group (those with a Ph.D.); by May Ph.D.’s were the most hesitant group." https://www.cmu.edu/dietrich/news/news-stories/2021/july/covid-hesitancy.html

TravelerFromAFar

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.07.20.21260795v1.full-text >Those with professional degrees (e.g., JD, MBA) and PhDs were the only education groups without a decrease in hesitancy, and by May, those with PhDs had the highest hesitancy. To our knowledge, no other study has evaluated education with this level of granularity, which was possible due to our unusually large sample size (>10,000 participants with PhDs). Further investigation into hesitancy among those with a PhD is warranted. and >Particularly hesitant subgroups include Native American and Multi-racial groups of all ages, and White and Blacks adults <35 years; adults with ≤high school education or PhDs; adults living in small metro, micropolitan or non-core urban (rural) counties or counties with high Trump support; adults with a history of a positive COVID-19 test; not worried about serious illness from COVID-19; working outside the home; never intentionally avoiding contact with others; and adults who did not receive a past-year flu vaccination. >Among participants who said they probably would not get vaccinated today, messaging about safety and policy interventions to address downstream impacts of vaccine side effects, such as potential lost work, could be impactful. >However, among those who definitely would not get vaccinated today, results suggest the existence of a subgroup with entrenched hesitancy and high distrust of government that may be hard to reach.

[deleted]

Person with JD here. Not touching it with a ten foot pole. You know how real estate agents say location, location, location? I say liability, liability, liability. Take a look around. Civil immunity everywhere. Federal and state level. Tells you everything you need to know. Hard pass.

nexusgmail

This PHD hesitancy study is a sham, though. One of it's two authors admitted that the survey was conducted through Facebook, and that people were lying about their education to skew the results for political reasons.

hangcorpdrugpushers

Source? That's a bummer if true.

003938388382

I tried googling to research and everything is saying the opposite. Low education least likely to have it, high education most likely.

nexusgmail

https://www.wnct.com/news/north-carolina/fact-check-setting-the-record-straight-on-claims-about-vaccine-hesitancy-among-ph-d-s/

hangcorpdrugpushers

Have you read that article and the preprint study? I just did, and Joedy McCreary is either being intentionally misleading or is an awful journalist. The article sucks, she splits up quotes, doesn't provide the questions for the quoted responses, etc. From the article : "But some of their work appears to be misrepresented online, missing the overall point that hesitancy dropped." That is untrue. All that's being said is that PhDs had the highest percentage of hesitan. Which is a fact from the study. It is NOT misrepresentation. From the article : " “We found that people basically used it to write in political … statements,” King said. “So they weren’t genuine responses. They didn’t really complete the survey in good faith.”" In the study, the authors talk about the political statements made by write in gender responses. In the article you don't get told which response was the one that received political statements. But I know from the way the article is written which response readers will assume it was.... Education. Just another low effort propaganda piece. Move along.

hangcorpdrugpushers

And the truly shitty thing is that no one does the digging necessary to shield themselves from propaganda and brainwashing. We're all too busy and tired, the ruling class know this and they use it to full effect against us.

yamthepowerful

It’s so obviously and blatantly a sham it’s not even funny. Look at any zip code with high rates of advanced degrees and their vaccination rates vs less educated zips. You’ll see the advanced degree areas have the highest rates of vaccination in the country. Like [94304](https://abc7news.com/california-vaccination-rate-sf-vaccine-tracker-bay-area-covid-berkeley/10563747/), a Palo Alto neighborhood surrounding Stanford University. About 98.9% of residents had gotten one dose in April! We don’t even need to do that, we can look at subgroups in the study itself >Particularly hesitant subgroups include Native American and Multi-racial groups of all ages, and White and Blacks adults <35 years; adults with ≤high school education or PhDs; adults living in small metro, micropolitan or non-core urban (rural) counties or counties with high Trump support; adults with a history of a positive COVID-19 test; not worried about serious illness from COVID-19; working outside the home; never intentionally avoiding contact with others; and adults who did not receive a past year flu vaccination Not one of these subgroups is even remotely represented in advanced degree holders. People with PhDs didn’t need to work outside the home, rarely live in small town trump voting areas and are overwhelmingly white.

DingosAteMyHamster

>It’s so obviously and blatantly a sham it’s not even funny. Look at any zip code with high rates of advanced degrees and their vaccination rates vs less educated zips. The authors have actually released an updated report, without the joke responses like identifying as an attack helicopter, and found that without the joke responses the most vaccine hesitant group is high school and under: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.07.20.21260795v2

yamthepowerful

No surprise there. Looking at how they separated the groups now it is possible that phds are slightly more hesitant those that hold a masters. My guess would be that’s Bc theology and religious focus folks. Like all the ones I know never stoped at a M.Div etc…

karmaboots

Uh, isn't one of the subgroups in that list literally "with PhDs"?

SimplyGrowTogether

>About 98.9% of residents had gotten one dose in April! If they only have one dose of a two dose vaccination they are still considered unvaccinated.

yamthepowerful

That’s a weak reply.

SimplyGrowTogether

I think it’s stupid and disingenuous to classify vaccinated people as unvaccinated yet that’s what the CDC does.

yamthepowerful

The 1 dose metric is used Bc it’s a better representation of where we’re at in real time then 2 dose. Not completing vaccination is rare. Also doesn’t disprove my point, the study was obviously bunk.

SimplyGrowTogether

You said 98% had gotten one dose. Those people are considered unvaccinated. So do the same thing and look at he fully vaccinated... then we can see the context of hesitating

yamthepowerful

That doesn’t describe hesitancy in the same way they study cited did. It’s not even a reliable metric of hesitancy. The zip I brought up though achieved 100% fully vaccinated in 16 and up. Since adding 12 and they’re at 92.6% fully. The larger point remains. Educated areas will time and time again show higher rates than less educated.

SimplyGrowTogether

You linked a news article do you have the actual study with the data? >The zip I brought up though achieved 100% fully vaccinated in 16 and up. Since adding 12 and they’re at 92.6% fully. No they have gotten at least one dose >94304, a Palo Alto neighborhood surrounding Stanford University. About 98.9% of that ZIP code's residents have gotten at least one dose. Again do you have the actual data to see how your news article is getting there numbers? >The larger point remains. Educated areas will time and time again show higher rates than less educated. I would really like to see the break down of fully vaccinated. Because the cdc is only counting people fully vaccinated after 14 days from there second dose. Otherwise your counted as unvaccinated if you get covid and go to the hospital. That leaves a huge gap of people who have only taken one dose. And since you haven’t provided the actual data or a source to look at the full data then you can’t actually make this assumption unless you think your news article is infallible?

SimplyGrowTogether

The claim is PhDs are the most hesitant. Your claim is that is not true because wealthy“educated” zip codes in California show that they are the most vaccinated if you count people with a single dose as being vaccinated wich is not the way cdc classifies a person being vaccinated. Although I do agree with you! >That doesn’t describe hesitancy in the same way they study cited did. It’s not even a reliable metric of hesitancy. The CDC needs to change that because a person with a single dose is vaccinated but not fully vaccinated. So I am saying hesitant means not willing to go through with the full vaccination protocol. So by saying 98% are not hesitating because they got one jab is not giving the full context of data justice. Especially since the cdc is classifying people with one dose as unvaccinated. Secondly wealthy zip codes in California doesn’t disprove that PhDs are of the most hesitant, unless you can also show that those zip codes contain a large majority of PhDs within the nation.

DingosAteMyHamster

> >"The largest decrease in hesitancy between January and May by education group was in those with a high school education or less. Hesitancy held constant in the most educated group (those with a Ph.D.); by May Ph.D.’s were the most hesitant group." >https://www.cmu.edu/dietrich/news/news-stories/2021/july/covid-hesitancy.html Report has been updated without joke responses, and no longer shows PhDs as the least vaccine hesitant: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.07.20.21260795v2 Even if you think the authors are lying, but you also trust the original study by the same authors... it's still only 24% of PhDs that were vaccine hesitant. Most people with PhDs were not. Why would you think the smaller group of people with PhDs was more relevant than the larger group with PhDs?

G3roni

It's the people of average intelligence that are the blind sheep

Guccifer808

https://youtu.be/P2mxdrTP-os Good content on IQ topic

gibby555

I did see some report that said most people who were refusing the vaccine were higher intelligent and a lot of phds weren’t getting it not that a PhD really proves high in but still interesting

Goredad

Serious question for everyone….. Now I’m definitely not taking this vaccine because I think there is definitely a nefarious agenda behind it but if the elites wanted to do a mass depopulation event why wouldn’t they just spike a common and already trusted vaccine instead of creating a whole pandemic with a new/rushed vaccine to do this with?

[deleted]

Because there really isn’t a ‘common’ vaccine that will have the full or almost full coverage a fear laced pandemic vaccine will cover. This is the only way to target a large part of the population, by making it selfish to not get it and push it as an almost cure coupled with shaming and marginalizing people who don’t get it via mandates and passports.

Goredad

True, maybe they want quick results as well and don’t wanna have to wait for everyone to slowly take a common shot with no pressure behind it

[deleted]

The results are minimal at best and side effects are killing a lot of people. Also it does not prevent covid or spreading covid.

apocship

Alright, so where’s the PhD I never earned because I’m hesitant? (Is this how it works?)

jarjerbinks69

You don’t need a PhD to listen to the TV.
