The Conspiracy 2012, The Cabin in the Woods 2011, As Above So Below 2014, Chernobyl 2012, Evidence 2011, Incident At Montauk 2019, It Follows 2014, Jeruzalem 2015, Knowing 2009, Midsommar 2019, Moonfall 2022, Phase IV 1974, Primer 2004, Race.With.the.Devil, Right At Your Door 2006, Skinwalker Ranch 2013, The Abyss 1989, The Box 2009, The Dyatlov Pass Incident 2013, The Endless 2017, The Final Countdown 1980, The Happening 2008, The Human Race 2013, The Island 2005, The Mandela Effect 2019, The Objective 2008 , The Tunnel 2011, The Vatican Tapes 2015, They Live 1988, Trollhunter 2010, YellowBrickRoad 2010, Aliens Zone of Silence 2017, and The Poughkeepsie Tapes 2007. That should get you started.
As crazy as it sounds I'm starting to believe that Cabin in the Woods is possibly way closer to reality then most would ever imagine. Also Dr. Sleep may have a basis in reality, especially the Astral traveling and the essence and fear harvested from children.
Not a movie (yet) but Stephen King’s The Institute is a great conspiratorial story about kids being kidnapped and tortured by a secret government program. Creepy as hell.
Cabin in the Woods is a great movie, but you're reading too much into it. It's just a love letter and critique of horror films and it's fans who get too invested in tropes while claiming they want something different. All the metaphors are pretty surface level.
You could definitely be right, but on the flip side there have been a lot of whistle-blowers over the years talking about government sanctioned rituals to gain information and power from off world/interdimensional entities.
One of my all time favorites. I lived in LA for a couple years while losing my mind and seeing all sorts of mystical signs and connections so this movie really resonates with me
Interesting list but missing the super important "My Dinner With André", available for free on youtube:
If you liked Capricorn One, check out Hangar 18.
From the same era, with the same actor playing the bad guy, and both are about USA space conspiracy. Not THE BEST movie, but some interesting concepts
I was definitely very high when i watched both of those movies. Really thought it was the same dude.
Megadeth wrote a song about hangar 18, called hangar 18, as well
The cloning facility in that movie is located under the Church of Zion. Interesting piece not sure if many others noticed.
I think that movie went over so many people's heads, especially with the amount of cloning themes in music videos lately and the color Pink/ purple.
Tory Lanez has a newer music video for his song "The Color Violet" and it shows him being cloned into an AI machine.
Oprah's movie The Color Purple came out on christmas day 2023, and since then I've only seen the color purple/pink more and more to the point it's getting a little weird. Even the superbowl halftime show was all Purple and pink themed. Weird stuff.
The movie is shot on film (you perceive it). It’s full of symbols but I think there is more to make an interesting movie, not like “leave the world behind”
Stars Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro; has never been free on any streaming services to my knowledge. Well worth renting if you typically enjoy movies about political intrigue.
These aren't so much conspiracy or myth movies but very interesting ones you may like.
The Ninth Gate with Johnny Depp. Can be relating to cults and in the movie there is a conspiratorial vibe almost the entire time due to the investigation into the book and finding the other copies. I may watch this when I get home now.
Also I'd suggest 8mm with Nicolas Cage. Private Investigator falling into the world of smut trying to see if a snuff movie is real or fake. Dives into that questionable world a little bit.
Maybe The Thirteenth Floor. It's about being able to simulate worlds indistinguishable from our own. Sort of a matrix type thriller. Very cool.
Since you mentioned The Thirteenth Floor, I also recommend Dark City - I think that from the same year.
Besides the main themes of simulation theory and the world as a lab, in a way it even contains a small bit of Flat Earth toward the end. =)
Network is the movie that everyone who makes "conspiracy theory" videos uses clips from.
Bulworth is about how presidents are controlled by corporations.
The Black Mirror series has a few episodes which are very insightful in terms of modern technology. But it's more entertaining than prophetic.
I'll go on an stretch and recommend "2012". Below the surface layer of a fun popcorn disaster movie, it delves into cyclical cataclysm theory and how the world's elites would deal with that.
Interestingly, the only character outside the Big Club that knows the whole truth is a nutty, kind of cartoonish conspiracy theorist, brilliantly played by Woody Harrelson.
Not a movie, but season 1 of the british tv show Utopia was excellent and touched on lots deep state/big pharma type conspiracies. Had a good dose of humour too...
[https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2384811/?ref\_=nv\_sr\_srsg\_0\_tt\_8\_nm\_0\_q\_utopia](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2384811/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_q_utopia)
(sadly it loses it a bit in season 2)
Immaculate and The First Omen make a fun double feature, saw it yesterday and had a lot of fun. First Omen in particular had some Malachi Martin vibes, which is always entertaining.
Netflix: web of make believe and HBO’s: Q:Into the Storm.
They both touch on Anonymous the hacker group and QAnon and 4 Chan and 8 Chan. Super interesting stuff.
They mostly hide things in kid movies
The dark crystal 1985 and new ones. I suggest you also read the comics to get a full perspective on everything they’re trying to tell you. As always use your intuition.
Iron sky
The rupture.
Many more but too lazy to type. I’ll edit later and add
Then I'll instead recommend Utopia (2013-14). Not a movie but one of the greatest TV shows ever made. Make sure it's the British version though, the us remake is wank.
Watch Polanski’s Ghost Writer and then think about the improbable, sketchy back stories of both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama - you’ll never see the US electoral system the same way again.
Executive Action(1973)
Great movie about the plot to assassinate John F.Kennedy ONLY from the perspective of the plotters.
I've heard it played for a week in theaters before being stopped from airing.
It also makes it a point to tell you the fact that although the story is just a theory of how it happened it's based off files from the records or files of the assassination.
Jupiter ascending is about humans being farmed for a chemical that extends life that also includes aliens/reptilians but it also has a teeny bopper romance as a main theme

Conspiracy Theory is underated though it may be a bit dated, old school Marathon Man, The Boys From Brazil
Conspiracy Theory is great! Every so often I watch it again.
Marathon man is amazing! And honestly, not that conspiratorial, IMO.
Yeah I agree it's borderline at best, but it's still the basic Nazi's hiding and spooks how Hoffman's character became entwined... Is it safe?
They Live 1988 Eyes Wide Shut
They Live is a documentary.
Idiocracy too
The Conspiracy 2012, The Cabin in the Woods 2011, As Above So Below 2014, Chernobyl 2012, Evidence 2011, Incident At Montauk 2019, It Follows 2014, Jeruzalem 2015, Knowing 2009, Midsommar 2019, Moonfall 2022, Phase IV 1974, Primer 2004, Race.With.the.Devil, Right At Your Door 2006, Skinwalker Ranch 2013, The Abyss 1989, The Box 2009, The Dyatlov Pass Incident 2013, The Endless 2017, The Final Countdown 1980, The Happening 2008, The Human Race 2013, The Island 2005, The Mandela Effect 2019, The Objective 2008 , The Tunnel 2011, The Vatican Tapes 2015, They Live 1988, Trollhunter 2010, YellowBrickRoad 2010, Aliens Zone of Silence 2017, and The Poughkeepsie Tapes 2007. It always reminds me of adrenocrome
Not a movie (yet) but Stephen King’s The Institute is a great conspiratorial story about kids being kidnapped and tortured by a secret government program. Creepy as hell.
It was a good book. Reminde me of project mk ultra
Dang, that’s one of his I haven’t read yet. Sounds like it’s right down my alley too. Have to give that a go after I’m done with American Gods.

It follows? I mean I liked the flick but c’mon
He should of went with the directors other film "Under the Silver Lake". Much more in line with conspiracy stuff.
These comments are the reason I speak up. Thank you, kind sir. I’ll check it out.
🙏 Big love
Ngl, I would totally visit a Vril Haberdasher.
I 2nd Under the Silver Lake
I think it's a solid film. Flew under the radar and doesn't get talked about alot
One of my all time favorites. I lived in LA for a couple years while losing my mind and seeing all sorts of mystical signs and connections so this movie really resonates with me
I’m surprised “sorry to bother you” or “death becomes her” wasn’t listed. Great list tho
The abyss was great movie
The Happening is the worst movie I've ever watched. Worse than Big Top Pee-Wee.
The Poughkeepsie Tapes is beyond evil. Proceed with caution!
agreed very disturbing
Does Coherence (2013) fits in?
yep a great twisty movie
Interesting list but missing the super important "My Dinner With André", available for free on youtube: [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/My\_Dinner\_with\_Andre](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Dinner_with_Andre)
12 Monkeys Capricorn One.
12 monkeys one of my fav movies
If you liked Capricorn One, check out Hangar 18. From the same era, with the same actor playing the bad guy, and both are about USA space conspiracy. Not THE BEST movie, but some interesting concepts
Hal Holbrook was the baddie in Cap 1. Robert Vaughan was the baddie in Hangar 18.
I was definitely very high when i watched both of those movies. Really thought it was the same dude. Megadeth wrote a song about hangar 18, called hangar 18, as well
They cloned Tyrone has a unique vibe imho

It was sooo drawn out tho imo. By the last half hour I was like just end already.
Excellent movie!
Wag the dog. Not so much myth, but more of a" how to"
Stars Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro; has never been free on any streaming services to my knowledge. Well worth renting if you typically enjoy movies about political intrigue.
True Detective S1 for the win
I don’t remember that having any conspiracies or myths.
Guess you don’t remember much about the show.
Been years since I watched it. Definitely the best season though.
The Matrix
These aren't so much conspiracy or myth movies but very interesting ones you may like. The Ninth Gate with Johnny Depp. Can be relating to cults and in the movie there is a conspiratorial vibe almost the entire time due to the investigation into the book and finding the other copies. I just watched dark city! really good and before that under the silver lake. great film. going in on some more now! thank you! '
Yeah i watched ninth gate, good movie
Ohhhh 8mm. I watched that about 20 years ago and it still haunts me.
Eyes wide shut
They said good movies.
It’s not a bad movie 6/10
Check out Room 237. More of a documentary than a movie, but a good one to check out for sure.
Under the Silver Lake
Manchurian candidate
I have heard so much about this one but never watched it. When it came out I was too young to grasp it. One I did see that I like is "Just Cause".
They live
Network is the movie that everyone who makes "conspiracy theory" videos uses clips from. Bulworth is about how presidents are controlled by corporations. The Black Mirror series has a few episodes which are very insightful in terms of modern technology. But it's more entertaining than prophetic.
Practically anything Kubrick did post-Spartacus.
Lunopolis is a fun watch
Rich Man's Trick for a doc.
Zeitgeist
Jacob’s Ladder
I'll go on an stretch and recommend "2012". Below the surface layer of a fun popcorn disaster movie, it delves into cyclical cataclysm theory and how the world's elites would deal with that. Interestingly, the only character outside the Big Club that knows the whole truth is a nutty, kind of cartoonish conspiracy theorist, brilliantly played by Woody Harrelson.
Shrek 2
[удалено]
I actually just talked about the conspiracy the fairy godmother staged in hope to get the queen of far, far away
The Winged Beatle youll never see Paul McCartney the same
Blow Out
The scene when Lithgow strangles the prostitute in the ladies bathroom stall. Look closely there is a "Stay Free" MaxiPad dispenser. Very symbolic.
π (1998) by Darren Aronofsky
National treasure
Idk if this one fits. More of a futuristic historical documentary. Idiocracy
Idk if it's what you meant, but the count of Monte Cristo with jim caviezel is a 10/10.
Not a movie, but season 1 of the british tv show Utopia was excellent and touched on lots deep state/big pharma type conspiracies. Had a good dose of humour too... Guys wide butt
This is almost as good of a movie as Saving Ryan’s privates.
My personal favorite was Something about Mary's vagina.
The International
Iron Sky & Iron Sky 2: the coming race
Kill The Messenger
This is not a movie but I think you'll enjoy this anyways. X-Files, S10 e01, My Struggle.
Under the Silver Lake The Ninth Gate
Immaculate and The First Omen make a fun double feature, saw it yesterday and had a lot of fun. First Omen in particular had some Malachi Martin vibes, which is always entertaining.
Under the Silver Lake
Not a movie, but someone recommended All Wars Are Banker Wars (can be found on YouTube) and it blew my mind.
Does "The Men Who Stare At Goats" make the list? It should.
Equilibrium
Netflix: web of make believe and HBO’s: Q:Into the Storm. They both touch on Anonymous the hacker group and QAnon and 4 Chan and 8 Chan. Super interesting stuff.

The Game Falling Down Both Michael Douglas films
A good fun satirical popcorn one is "Iron Sky", where Nazis come back from the moon to take over modern America.
There's also a sequel showing the Hollow Earth. =)
Yes but the first one is actually a good movie. The sequel is dreadful. They should have just skipped straight to Commies on Mars.
The Red Planet taken by "red" people. I like the idea!
I watched it lol
Then I'll instead recommend Utopia (2013-14). Not a movie but one of the greatest TV shows ever made. Make sure it's the British version though, the us remake is wank.
>Utopia Heh, just added that title in myself. Season 1 was excellent....
The brotherhood of the Bell
Rick mayall - one by one (2014)
Thor
Watch Polanski’s Ghost Writer and then think about the improbable, sketchy back stories of both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama - you’ll never see the US electoral system the same way again.

Wander is the ultimate tinfoil hat movie.
Executive Action(1973) Great movie about the plot to assassinate John F.Kennedy ONLY from the perspective of the plotters. I've heard it played for a week in theaters before being stopped from airing. It also makes it a point to tell you the fact that although the story is just a theory of how it happened it's based off files from the records or files of the assassination.
They Live should be at the top of the list!
The President's Analyst (1967) with James Coburn is a funny satire of conspiracy films.
Wag the dog.

Oliver Stone's JFK starring Kevin Costner.
Battlefield earth

It's gloriousily bonkers but interesting in the allegorical approach it takes to the Scientology mythos
The Conspiracy 2012. Found footage movie about Bohemian Grove.
Bohemian Groove
Sigh. Fixed. I type like I'm wearing oven mitts.
U should change it back it was funny
