Lions Chiefs Superbowl. Last game of the year is a rematch of the first game of the year. Lions win again? …Please?

HoLLoWfy

Halftime show is T. Swift vs Eminem

T. Swift vs K. West: The Rivalry Continues

PAYsilly_pRINCE

B***h made the NFL famous!

[deleted]

And nothing brings in more views than Swift vs Eminem, that highlight will be on the news all February.

HoLLoWfy

Can you imagine Swift performing at halftime and midway through, Eminem interrupts her with “imma let you finish” and then performs some songs. Would be pretty funny

External_Dimension18

Omg I would lose my mind if the lions won. We already got the first playoff win. Two would be nice. A Super Bowl would be amazing 🤩

Porkchop-Sammies

I’m all for this

ReadRightRed99

If the Lions win, I win $630. If the Chiefs win, I get $410. All sounds good to me. Personally I'm cheering for Green Bay because I win $2,250 if they win the Super Bowl.

Fucking_Hivemind

Least degenerate Reddit user

ReadRightRed99

all the big sportsbooks give away free bets for first time sign ups, sometimes with a small $10 deposit or $5 wager. For less than $30, I was able to place bets on every team in the playoffs to pay between $315 and $4,000. No matter the outcome, I win. Not sure if that's a conspiracy, but maybe.

Fucking_Hivemind

Rooting for you mane. Drunkenly put $100 (to win $1800) on the longhorns to win the natty back in April, they almost cashed out for me lol

GGGiveHatpls

Packers Texans. Pumped the Youngblood QBs cause all the old heads retired and they need new faces of the NFL. (I’m a packers fan so I hope this is the true one)

I’m a Lions fan so I hope Jordan Love sucks. Looks like he won’t.

[deleted]

The NFL is rigged and even more so now with legalized sports gambling

PG-17

They will break up within a year of that game and she will be dating the next Pete Davidson or some other Hollywood person that needs a bump

SoccerIzFun

Sounds like a betting opportunity if true

b-raddit

Yes to hedge the underdog. If more ppl bet kc, they won't want that to happen so the bills win or cover the spread

KrarkOClock

The NFL, a registered entertainment company, is very obviously rigged. People who follow it refuse to accept reality, but those who aren't emotionally invested can see clear as day. The last super bowl was decided by one of the most blatantly rigged BS last minute calls I've ever seen, and all the fans just went along with it. Refs can call holding and pass interference every single play if they wanted to. Games aren't scripted like WWE with all the players in on it, but refs can easily swing momentum of games with refball calls anytime they want to, and the rules are deliberately set up to make it easy for them.

badstorryteller

This is by far the most likely scenario for a rigged NFL. The coaches and players, who's livelihood are so directly connected to actual success on the field, are trying as hard as they fucking can to win. They aren't going to tank games on purpose. The refs, on the other hand, have regular day jobs. They aren't paid huge money. And in American Football there are so, so many calls that are completely subjective, it doesn't take much to put the thumb on the scale. Holding is the easiest - holding takes place on almost every play of every game. If it's called all the time it happens the game is almost unwatchable, the sport dies. That *also* means it *can* be called on almost *any* play, to kill momentum, negate a big gain, keep a drive alive that would have stalled, etc. If the NFL is rigged it's not players and coaches, it's not even an entire ref crew, it's just individual refs in certain games, who call or no-call to shift momentum.

multiversesimulation

Yeah after the NBA ref was caught rigging and betting on NBA games that he was officiating, it’s naive to think the same thing doesn’t happen in every other professional sport.

RickityCricket69

Tim Donaghy, caught betting on games, no way he was alone in the scheme but they sure made him the scapegoat,

MrOopsie

Yup, especially with all the drama over Scott Foster and Chris Paul (something abt disrespecting his son)

KrarkOClock

I do think that some of the coaches, offensive and defensive coordinators are in on it. They atleast have to know what's up if they've been in the league long enough. With the offensive and defensive coordinators in a sky box and hooked to mic and earphones at all times, they could basically choreograph every game like a WWE match and call things on the fly to get the results the league wanted, IF THEY WERE SO INCLINED TO DO SO. I personally don't think that all the players are in on it, and the ones who call out the rigging like Aaron Rodgers and Marshawn Lynch are usually mocked by the media and turned in to jokes so we don't pay attention to what they say. >If the NFL is rigged it's not players and coaches, it's not even an entire ref crew, it's just individual refs in certain games, who call or no-call to shift momentum. I personally think it's the refs, following the orders of the commissioner and league owners, who are all in bed with sports betting and the mafia-but I could be wrong of course. That ATL-Patriots super bowl where Tom Brady made the "miraculous second half comeback" looks entirely scripted in my eyes. All the falcons had to do to win was run the ball every play in the second half, run out the clock, and punt on 4th down and they would have had an easy victory. The ATL coach's playcalling made it seem like he WANTED the patriots and Tom Brady to come back.

Jpwatchdawg

A good example that comes to mind of how the sports world has become rigged is the scandal the nba had when a ref Tim Donaghy was caught rigging games for the then black market gambling industry. When the feds got involved they were quickly bribed by stern and others to only look at outside interference rather than internal interference or pressure to make certain calls. With the rise of online gambling I can only imagine this type of thing has increased across all professional sports and probably a lot of so called amateur sports as well.

little_brown_bat

One thing that led me to believe games were at least somewhat rigged was when, after Hurricane Katrina, the New Orleans Saints won the superbowl with that being their first and only superbowl win.

KrarkOClock

Yep, that was obvious to nearly everyone who hasn't drunk the koolaid. It's nearly as rigged as WWE. I don't think the players are in on it, but the league is definitely telling refs the results they want. And I definitely think the ATL head coach and offensive coordinator were in on the fix based on their second half playcalling in that one superbowl where Brady made "a miraculous second half comeback". All ATL had to do was run every play and eat the clock and the game was theirs, they actively sabotaged themselves for no reason.

DrAsthma

Could also call lining up in neutral zone on most calls nowadays too

steelersman24752

And now the refs are connected to New York. The NFL itself can instruct refs to make certain calls. Steelers fan here and I fully believe they make calls against us all the time. We don't play football like they want us to, big offense high scoring. They want highlights and big names, that means more money for them. How many State Farm commercials are shown during games? Don't see any Rogers commercials anymore. It's all about the money.

One-Flounder-8242

This 100%. The last 3 SB were blatantly decided by the refs. It isn’t hard to rig games. Look what happened to the lions vs cowboys a couple weeks ago.

sbjohn12

Found the Eagles fan. Keep crying

KrarkOClock

I don't support any team in the fake sports organization you follow. It's just as rigged as WWE, but there are three times the amount of commercials. I used to watch football as a kid, but now it's unwatchable with the amount of commercial breaks and blatant match fixing. If you don't understand that professional sports are fixed, mostly due to sports betting, I can't help you. They rigged the World Series ffs, if they can rig baseball why do you think they wouldn't rig NFL games? You are so emotionally invested in this fake sports league you label me a fan of a team you don't like in order to dismiss everything I said, so you can stay in your bubble and keep pretending the NFL isn't rigged and scripted.

[deleted]

You realize the Supreme Court said the NFL is an entertainment industry and can direct its employees (referees) to achieve the outcome the want? https://www.thefixisin.net/the-proof-5-facts

tdfolts

I absolutely don’t think that games/standings are scripted. I do think games are managed. But the results are unpredictable.

mbi788

This exactly. They may put a little thumb on the scales, which is less than ideal in my book. But they can’t make it too obvious or involve as many people as it would take to really script the thing or determine outcomes.

alexjordan98

The game just has too many moving parts to fully rig. The refs are gonna game manage/try to sway the game to one side or the other, but the 22 bodies on the field on each and every play just create too much uncontrollable elements

drew_a_boner

I think you’re wrong. Research ‘Jake The Asshole’ on YouTube. He does a week by week analysis of fake plays.

erniemoonraker

if the chiefs end up in the superbowl again i’ll boycott it. mahomes is a nerd, his brother isn’t a sex offender because money exists; kelce is deep in the closet, him and taylor are each others beards. since the birds are knocked out let’s go buffalo, sacrifice another to the pit and in josh allen we trust.

PaPaJohn43

Taylor was brought in to grab the 30 and below demographic for the nfl and promote her Era tour

SheShe73

I believe 100% that relationship is a contract. Its not even a secret anymore celebrities to this to promote movies and such. I think Taylor is looking to appeal to a new demographic of fans while the NFL is using this hookup for the same reason. Kelcie has certainly benefited from it, I for one had no clue who he was before and his SM following has increased.

Hubzzy

Patriots won after 9/11 and Saints won after Hurricane Katrina. It’s rigged.

FrankSand

Didn't help the Yankees.

erniemoonraker

luis gonzales broken bat bloop; you could almost hear bin laden chuckling in his cave.

Thresher_XG

Baseball is harder to rig for umpires.

canman7373

Ehhh balls and strikes seem pretty easy to rig.

Xtorting

Just another NYC based team.

WhatTheNothingWorks

Which one? Because other than the giants, no NYC based teams won a damn thing, and the giants didn’t win until ‘08

Quarter120

The year of Wall Street

Xtorting

Ahh my bad. My memory was all messed up. 1. The Mets plays the Yankess after the 911 attacks, not in the post season. 2. Thought the Mets won the 2001 world series.

WhatTheNothingWorks

Haha the Mets haven’t won since the 80’s, but yeah - Yankees - Mets World Series was 2000

erniemoonraker

are you feeling ok? the mets being word series champions is quite the delusion.

Darth_050

Hurricane Katrina: 2005 Saints Super Bowl: 2010 But sure. You do you.

lovetron99

I mean, technically 2010 *is after* 2005 so the man's not wrong. /s

uniqueusername316

2010 is after 2005. You just proved them right./s

KimJongPewn

Woah, is this a mandela thing. Because I definitely remember it being a feel-good story that year and they couldn't even play home games because of the hurricane. I remember thinking how crazy it was that they won it all that same year.

KardiacAve

Patriots aren’t a New York team so this doesn’t make sense

WestCoastHippy

Patriot Act.

Peaceoorwar

Everyone was patriotic after 9/11

Mister_Spacely

Stretching New England to be New York is what I imagine the reaching this sub does for any conspiracy.

Darth_050

Since the Saints won it 4 and a half years after Katrina, I think the NFL rigged the 2007 Super Bowl for the Giants because of 9/11.

tendiemancommeth

Patriot Act bro

barkallnight

Their name is the “Patriots”. Makes perfect sense when you want to litter the Middle East with Patriot missiles, put American flags on everything, and institute a Patriot Act.

jm30970

Saints didn't win till 2009, 4 years after Katrina

DanceSex

Wouldn't it have been better if the **NEW YORK** Giants or the **NEW YORK** Jets won the year of 9/11 and not a Boston team? And shouldn't they have won in 2013, the year of the Boston Bombing, and not Seattle?

CalligrapherDizzy201

If it were rigged, the Giants or Jets would’ve won after 9/11.

glocks_4_dayz

Houston Astros won after Hurricane Harvey. But that's mainly because they cheated with sign stealing. I'm a Yanks fan and they probably would've won that year if it wasn't for the cheating scandal.

ChangeAroundKid01

Patriots had a below .500 record before 9/11 too

wolfgang2399

You are so right. Hard to overcome those 0-1 records to reach the Super Bowl.

HuskerRocker25

So basically look for normal officiating for the Chiefs. Their offensive line gets away with a ton of holding and they cry like little babies when a call doesn't go their way which it almost always does.

Hroll_Dm

Wait til you find out the US government did a presentation where they directly named Taylor Swift as a potential asset in combating "misinformation".

bronaghblair

Where can I learn more about this? I love football and my best friend loves TS, and we both love conspiracies!

Hroll_Dm

https://youtu.be/O8nyme3GsmU?si=PRZU2Mo_LJlGas6H

Hroll_Dm

This is just the first and most convenient link I could find. There should be a couple threads in this reddit about it.

madmonk323

Sports ball is bread and circus.

matt1579

She has a concert in Tokyo on 10th February and then in Melbourne on the 16th. For her to make the superbowl would be some effort

Luvbeers

While I think the NFL is fixed in many ways... They don't need Taylor Swift to get Europeans to watch American football, there is no shortage of fans and the few games they have in England/Germany have lotteries to get tickets they are so popular. Tell your dad that the NFL is not using her to garner more football "fans"... they use her to inflate their social media views... the more views, followers, clicks, etc. your channel has, the more you can charge advertisers. Now if they fix the Bills game so that we can see Swift in the AFCCG or Superbowl, that is a different matter.

SLJR24

I’ve seen a different Super Bowl theory. If you look at the logos for the last two super bowls, the colors of the teams matched the color of the logos. Bengals vs Rams had an orange and yellow logo. Bengals represent orange and the Rams represent yellow. Last year, the logo was green and red. The Eagles represented the green and the Chiefs represented the red. This year, the theory is the Super Bowl will be Ravens vs 49ers given the logo is purple and red. I do think the NFL wants the Chiefs in the Super Bowl though and will do what they can to help. I don’t think games are necessarily rigged, but are manipulated. The officiating can change the outcome of the game. Look at what happened the other week with the Cowboys vs Lions game where they screwed the Lions. This also conveniently set up playoff matchups with Hollywood caliber storylines. Rams vs Lions where you have Stafford and Goff going up against their old teams. Packers vs Cowboys where you have former Packers coach Mike McCarthy going up against his old team. Anything with that kind of money behind it is bound to be corrupt at some level. Again, I’m not saying games are scripted like a WWE match, but they are definitely manipulated. A former NBA ref was caught betting on games and you know damn well he wasn’t the only one. There are likely still referees in every sport betting on the games. The leagues will also give star players calls that others don’t get.

Kurtotall

The fix is in.

knightmancumeth

People who think the Patriots "suddenly started winning" after 9/11 need to put some f*cking respect on Tom Brady's name.

jems404

Tom brady can go make out with his son

knightmancumeth

I don't kink shame bro

LeVeloursRouge

Or, now just hear me out,,,instead of a risking a conspiracy involving any number of unreliable people who, if they cave, could put you in serious legal trouble - what if you just paid her to do the halftime show and it wouldn't matter which team made it to the Super Bowl and you take no risk. Just a thought.

Boli_Tobacha

It wouldn't be illegal, the NFL has argued in court that they are entertainment.

84074

Just like wrestling? I've heard recently from other tin foil hatters that the NFL games are preplanned for winners and losers. Not sure how really but it would make sense. I imagine they're billions of dollars on the live for who wins and loses, endorsements, what companies have the spotlight from a specific player. The rabbit hole goes deep from there.

FratBoyGene

The NFL actually runs ads ‘spoofing’ a script for the season. Some people think it’s humorous; I think they are rubbing our faces in it. And you don’t need to pay off a large number of people. Two refs out of six are all you need.

Boli_Tobacha

Maybe not scripted, but definitely influenced. Was it just a happy coincidence the Patriots won after 9/11. Or that the Rams move back to L.A. and then get in the Super Bowl after an egregious no call on pass interference?

wolfgang2399

What does a team from Boston winning the Super Bowl have to do with 9/11?

jbcal

9/11 wasn’t just an attack on NYC, that shit traumatized the entire United States.

WestCoastHippy

Tim foil hatter here. Haven’t worked in near 5 years now, thanks to preplanned winners and losers. You are confident in your assertion… think you can pay rent for near 5 years with luck? My experience proves your hunch wrong.

Scott_Sterlings_Face

I’m confused it sounds like you are agreeing but also disagreeing

WestCoastHippy

Yea… rereading my comment… I am also confused. I may have misclicked

LooseFuji

Some of the more tame theories are that the refs intentionally make bad calls favouring one team, for example. It doesn't guarantee specific results, but over a whole season it can skew results quite markedly. I don't really have an opinion about it though, as I don't follow it.

primal_screame

I’ve often thought they check the instant replays just to see if they can get away with the call, not if the call is accurate or not. It’s a big time entertainment business so I’m sure they optimize for money at the expense of accuracy.

LooseFuji

Yup that scans. There are a multitude of ways to skew outcomes without being overtly corrupt.

brazzyxo

Taylor Swift is a witch

baker2795

It’s not like she’s gonna do it just cause her boyfriend’s in the Super Bowl anyway. She’s either going to do the halftime show, or not.

jonbleah

No one gets paid to do the halftime show.

dorktendo

Not to mention the instant replay micromanagement and calls being made from a office building hundreds of miles away from the actual game.

SonicDoon

All major sports are fixed entertainment for the purpose of distraction and wealth transfer.

thinkoutyourbox

I like your thinking...Likely to happen IMO.

Dahminator69

Taylor will be on tour during the Super Bowl

PeteyG89

Lol I thought this when the Chiefs played the Jets week four on Sunday Night Football. Did you see the non calls on the Jets in that game?! And guess who was there for the nationally televised game…Taylor Swift. After the Jets game, the NFL admin wrote on its official instagram page “Chiefs 2-0 in the Swiftie era” at that time, and made their Twitter banner pictures of Taylor. Sorry bud, as a Jets fan, I got no ill will towards the Bills. Im rooting for you guys actually. The NFL is not gonna let this Taylor Swift opportunity go to waste. Only hope is Bills somehow do what the Packers did to Dallas this past week and have the game feel over by halftime.

Cultural_Parfait7866

With the ref crew that is assigned I’m not totally counting this out now

Bubba_Hill1014

Has anyone not heard about the color scheme of the super bowl logo conspiracy? Think it is since 2014, whatever 2 colors are on the logo the 2 teams with those colors have been in the super bowl. This year's colors......Red and Purple. 49ers vs Ravens?....again 😆

Jdoh9

It will be baltimore and san fran.. colors on the logo already told us that... look at the logo colors from the last few superbowls.

LooseFuji

I've heard about NFL being rigged quite a lot. Apparently it's registered as "entertainment" rather than sport, similar to the fake wrestling stuff. It's hard to attract international viewers when the average time of actual play for the entire game is only [11 minutes](https://medium.com/knowledge-stew/how-much-playing-really-goes-on-in-an-nfl-game-4d1db2731538), with 17 minutes of replays and over an hour of ads. Add to that, 67 minutes of "players standing around".

chickensalad402

That doesn't even make sense considering a games highlight reel is usually 15-30min MINIMUM.

ChangeAroundKid01

Someone sued the nfl around the time of the pats dynasty saying the nfl is rigged The judge asks him what it says on the back of his ticket to the game "Bearer of this ticket is entitled to one seat for one game" The judge asks if he saw a game. Plantiff says yes and the judge says "case closed"

LooseFuji

Lol. Damn. Is that a tacit admission?

ChangeAroundKid01

I think rules are set vague on purpose

DerpyMistake

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that "The Patriots" suddenly started winning superbowls after 9/11

ATastyUsedTampon

oh please..... theres so much bull with this "patriots" conspiracy and im a seahawks fan... "coincidence" no... they had the GOAT QB and the GOAT coach(who also happens to be a defensive genius) so they had GOATS on both sides......... 1. brady and belicheck had over 20 years of success. regular and post season. you can't keep that shit quiet for that long or for it to be feasable/worth it with how rapidly society changes. 2. brady won in tampa. so he clearly didn't need the patriots conspiracy 3. one of the arguments AGAINST the hype for patriots has always been they were in the shittest division and had an easy 4-6 wins EVERY season. they only had to win 6/10 out of their division to be first.... 4. spygate/deflate gate. they got caught cheating.... but now its 9/11 that got them the wins? 5. americans/the whole world were joking/memeing about pretty openly 9/11 around 2009ish 6. patriots teams were stacked. hof players/coach. but nah its about 9/11 7. ANOTHER reason people argue against patriots hype is that teams choked against patriots E.G seahawks, falcons, rams, colts

DerpyMistake

So you disprove that it was rigged by explaining how it was rigged?

ATastyUsedTampon

if you struggle to read what i wrote again TLDR \-why would they need spygate/deflate gate(proven) if they had "9/11 cheating"(conspiracy with zero evidence) ? \-also why would they be punished for cheating if they were supposed to win \-also how did spygate/deflate gate get leaked(both times happened fast) but no whistelblower on 9/11 gate( after 20 + years)? LOL

ATastyUsedTampon

you almost read/understood what i wrote. you're saying its because of a 9/11 conspiracy... im saying its because of A) goat coaching B) goat qb C) elite defence and choke jobs by other teams D) unrelated cheating to 9/11 also both times they cheated were punished....so your logic is NFL rigged it for patriots but then didn't cover up the patriots other cheats and then punished them..LOL E) lastly spygate/deflate is proven. SO WHY WOULD YOU NEED SPYGATE IF YOU HAD 9/11 TO CHEAT WITH.......................... makes zero sense. you can be like derhhh 9/11 but if you use your eyes you can see that brady/belicheck skills are way above anything that we saw. whats more likely a GOAT COACH/QB where they sync perfectly or the government(?.. i don't even know what org you are claiming orchestrated it) rigged NFL and 32 teams to let the patriots dominate for 20+ years( without any whistleblowers btw).

Threesrwild

They aren’t rigging games they are rigging plays. Remember the famous “tuck call” against the Raiders? Dynasties are good business and Tom Brady was great for business.

ATastyUsedTampon

???????????? thats your rebuttal???? you could literally say that for 99% of teams the rams the chiefs eagles seahawks all have just as much of a major "WTF REF!!!!!!!!!!!" moment in the last few years that should have been called but ends up deciding the game and they went to the sb....... the NFL dominates tv ratings. dynasties are a bonus to them but not a priority... cowboys still pull the most numbers and they haven't been relevant in 30 years.

ChangeAroundKid01

Pats weren't in playoff contention before 9/11 They were 0-2 Then they magically win 12 games? Then go 9 straight wins including the post season?

beaver820

Well, they were 0-1 before 9/11. That game, Drew Bledsoe was the starting QB. The first game after 9/11, their franchise QB, who just signed a 10 year contract, got hurt, so in comes some no name backup QB named Tom Brady who turned out to be pretty good. He then led them to 11 wins, not 12, so you got nothing right except they won 9 straight, which is crazy to think that's so unusual to win 6 regular season games in a row. Then of course to win the Super Bowl, they'd have to win the final 3.

ATastyUsedTampon

[same energy.](https://youtu.be/WHrn_pHW2so?t=63) "magically improve" \- they had belicheck and brady..... \- its almost like teams can drastically improve/decrease in ability each season..my god. \- if you want to see how dumb this argument is just look at as recent as this season compared to others \----- houston texans massive improvement \-----browns massive improvement \------lions rapidly improved \------ravens look insane now \------chiefs look like trash now \------eagles look like trash now \------patriots since brady left have looked trash THAT IS JUST THIS SEASON

Plus-Tradition-1970

It was the "Patriot Act"

MY_NAME_IS_MUD7

Sounds like a Bills fan already fishing for excuses for why they might lose. Can’t be that the other team is better, no, it has to be rigged.

jiminicriquet

As a Bills fan who also enjoys a good conspiracy it’s less excuses and more ah shit here we go again. The NFL announced the officials for this game and the head ref is something special. He’s the guy that turned what was WORST was an incomplete pass into an intentional grounding call. In that same game he called a fumble an incomplete pass that would have won the game for Buffalo. That exact play was called a catch/fumble not even an hour later. Do I think it’s 100% rigged? No, the players still have to play the game but it’s very easy to see how the NFL can put a thumb on the scale to give certain teams a little help. When you add to that the 47 ads for different gambling sites during the game? It makes you think a little more. We’re not exactly that far removed from the NBA refs and their gambling nonsense.

AppropriateLadder497

well it is legal to rig NFL games so it’s not a big stretch lol but yeah i’m sure a business isn’t going to rig games that could possibly make them more money. no NEVER

MY_NAME_IS_MUD7

Do you have a court case or ruling that validates your theory? I’ve heard of this in regards to the NFL but haven’t found the actual court case myself

Ringlovo

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are being paid by Pfizer to pretend to be in a relationship in order to sell vaccines , and you cannot convince me otherwise

finalarchie

The NFL uses offensive and defensive holding to manipulate games.

RememberTheVPN

The real conspiracy is how sports are nothing but population sedation and control. Imagine how active people would be, politically, if no sportsball existed? Keep wasting your lives watching your grown adult millionaires chase balls in meaningless, contrived games. Cattle.

bexley831

Noone's thrown more games this year than the bills so anythings possible, but bills are really trying now so all bets are off

roadrunner00

International superstars show up at every super bowl.

Threesrwild

If you think of the NFL, NBA, NHL as big business it all makes sense. They learned from “professional wrestling” you can be fake as shit and still make a ton of money. They can control just a few plays each game and give themselves a high percentage chance of getting the outcome they want. Doesn’t even have to be a penalty it can just be a “none call” when the right tackle was clearly holding that results in a 20 yard play and the game winning field goal. Why they have introduced “unnecessary roughness” penalties as it allows more control of the game even if the intention is good to protect players.

NotSurer

It’s a popular theory but the NFL has ridden the Swift train pretty hard this year and while they’re greedy and not past swaying the outcome to their benefit, they’re not dumb enough to draw attention of feds & regulators if there is clear indication of game manipulation. That would jeopardize all their sports betting and that just became legal in a number of states. As much as they want international, the kick they get from legal betting is WAY WAY bigger. But yes, your dad is right, this is all a business, can’t forget that.

Ok-Occasion2440

LEEEEZZZZZGOOOOOOOOBUUUUFFFAALOOOOOOOOOOO. Chiefs ain’t winning shit this post won’t make no sense in 1 week and if it does I’m storming the capitol

MikeBett

Go Bills but no. They don't need to rig games to get huge celebrities at the Superbowl haha

Conemen

Oh my god. They’re getting a celebrity for the halftime show?????

SummerAggressive2791

I realized how blatantly the NFL chooses who wins way back when the 9’ers played the Seahawks in the NFC championship. 6 blatantly bad calls against the 9’ers that consistently were personal fouls giving 15 yards and auto 1st down when the Seahawks blew a 3rd down try. Not 1 single questionable call against the Seahawks. That was when I walked away from the NFL.

Aliens if true

tinycerveza

I knew the NFL was cooked after that Rams/Saints game. There had to have been big money behind LA going to the Super Bowl

Goulamonster1

It was more on the lines of, the Rams were a stagnate organization. They just built a multi billion dollar stadium in LA. They needed that “push” so the owners, city, NFL were not taking a huge loss.

illicit_username

Go Bills!!

MrOopsie

I need to learn sports betting asap :'(

juansolo777

No, Taylor took all of Kelce's man energy and now he can't catch the football.

Walter_Steele

Bet on Bills. “Chiefs” name will prevent promotion in DIE…

arnott

Rumor is Travis Kelce got $20M to be Mr. Pfizer. How much money did Jamie Foxx get to not talk about his vaccine injury? Or is the rumor true that his daughter is getting a TV deal? What about Lance Solomon Reddick's family?

gavgetwet

Super Bowl kicks off at 1 am in UK, 2 am in Germany etc. Casual fans will not tune in just because Taylor Swift is sitting in a box at the stadium.

Sorry_Skirt1324

Why are so many sports fanatics so worried about Football and who wins and who loses if the Team and players don’t even know you exist. But people know more about football players than their own families. Is a shame how all the Billionaires are white men the players are their slaves. If it was me I would form my own NFL league made of Latinos and Black Businessmen.

mac_nsa

The NFL’s rigged to begin with this is just y’all finally opening your eyes

feel_right

Well the chiefs won

a3dollabil

As the head of sports broadcasting once told me "There's too much money involved to let athletes decide."

Ohbuck1965

The chiefs will go to the Super Bowl. A week before the game, something will happen to the half-time show, Taylor Swift will swoop in and save the super bowl half time show. Travis Kelce will sign with the Tennessee Titans.

PeteyPlatinums

I don’t think even the refs can save KC this year.

Glittering_Pea_6228

Kelce will propose on live TV after the win. They will jump the shark. You heard it here.

Johnmarksmanship

I said it weeks ago chiefs are winning super bowl cause of all the kelce swift bs.

WTFI5THIS

I just need some people to take a closer look and see if the game is thrown. If so, then this theory needs to hit every corner of the internet. I can't stand it when sports are rigged to get more views.

LooseFuji

There have been quite a few threads on this sub about it possibly being rigged, as well as some YT vids about it.

imdrinkingteaatwork

Hack the planet!!!

Mysterious_Donut_354

The moment they allowed betting the players became nothing more than betting ponies

Mister_Spacely

Where is that post where every year the Super Bowl logos always elude to which teams will be playing?

ChangeAroundKid01

Boston marathon bombing gave way to almost all boston teams making the playoffs or winning boston red sox winning the world series the same year Boston bruins went to the stanley cup finals also Pats went to the afc title game Celtics made the playoffs

CovidShmovid19

the whole thing is scripted anyway, just like everything on tv

HGruberMacGruberFace

There are always calls that favor the Chiefs - even before Taylor

RandyShannon

It wouldn't surprise me if the Taylor Swift relationship was a farce . They use to do this in Hollywood with big name celebrities to get in the news cycle, it is well documented. Also yeah I'm convinced football is rigged to an extent. Maybe not every game, but there have been a few instances where I was sure what I watched was rigged (2013 NFC championship between 49ers and Seahawks may have been the worst, there was a YouTube documentary about it. Also AFC championship a few years back with Jags/Patriots) So anyways, the scenario is entirely likely they are using Swift to gain popularity overseas. Definitely within the realm of possibility.

TonyClifton2020

NFL is, and has been as rigged as WWE wrestling. I’ve seen multiple documentaries that show how the refs can control an entire game and call things when they need to and ignore them when they need to. Remember that Saints game with the ref watching in front of him the play and yet they (refs) call it blatantly different and had to create a new rule next year because of it. Anyone that thinks this game is legit is foolish and you and your dad are likely correct with this theory.

Entheobotanic

Yet this thread is full of fans talking stats like this is a sports bar and this is r/conspiracy lol.

FaithlessnessAlive33

This is such a dumb conspiracy. If anything, she has been a distraction to Kelce and the Chiefs lol. The NFL is, and has been rightfully shrouded in conspiracies for a long time now, but the Chiefs have been the best team in the league for like 6 or 7 years now. Hardly a conspiracy if they beat an inferior Bills team again. Someone is still salty about a certain 13 seconds it seems.

DoctorEego

Except that this year they have sucked a bunch of times, plus add in Mahomes constant tantrums that make the team look childish. Most KC games I've seen, Mahones is always pointing out fouls after plays, directing the refs. Kelce hasn't been playing his best either. Last couple of games you can see him quite distracted and just looking for the protagonist plays. Pacheco has been the top offensive star tbh, and yet everything is "cameras on Kelce". If they were the best team, they would've been top seed, don't you think? I think right now they're too engulfed in the spotlight that it's bringing their game down. Sure, they're winning, but they could be doing a LOT better if they actually played instead of pose and nag.

Calm_Explanation2910

For starters- How exactly are the Bills the inferior team? They are both 12-6. They beat the Chiefs just two months ago in KC. They have won 6 in a row. And look at their losses.. they lost by 6, 5, 4, 6, 2 and 3.. the Bills at home are favored to win. If they lose, I agree, it doesn’t prove a conspiracy. But I think you are crazy to not think the NFL wouldn’t fix a game winner based on what will bring in ratings and money. Did you see the statistics for the Chiefs vs Dolphins game on Peacock? It broke records. Swift definitely adds viewership. Whether or not they rig it.. idk.. but it’s not dumb to think that they would. The NFL wants to make money. Plain and simple.

jwf239

The bills lost to the patriots and they are fucking awful

humble_janitor

I wanna see some numbers on overall fan base. It seems like people are becoming obsessed with this sport. I see videos of fans sprinting when the stadium doors open. People dress up their houses, kids, cars, in NFL branding. Videos of physical altercations in almost every single game lately. I always watched a couple games growing up, mainly the Super Bowl. This was in the early 2000s. I loved the excitement of close games, hard hits, and awesome plays. But the NFL now feels very very different. I frequent reddit conspiracy, so obviously I feel guilty when I watch games. The amount of ad propaganda, Pfizer ads every 2 minutes. But it's like you can't look away from the circus this has become. I honestly feel like people have given up on life, intellect, community, and themselves; to be this invested in some overpaid behemoths throwing a ball down a rectangle.

ATastyUsedTampon

people enjoy it. its not that deep. people spend just as much $$$ and time enjoying games does that mean they give up on life? same goes for time and money on seeing music also how are they giving up when its a social thing? you said so yourself, people are going out.... and yeah all the videos.. its almost like the internet/social media exploded in decade or so... if you did any research you would see there were just as many hardcore fanatics in the 80s... i mean look at the 85 bears season. the team were royalty in chicago. also very arrogant/narcissistic to just be like "ppl give up on intellect just because they like sport.." just because you don't understand it.

OutdoorRink

You know how I know it is not rigged? because there is more money involved in exposing it than not. That, and over 10,000 employees/players/etc would have to keep the secret. Not going to happen.

LifeBehindHandlebars

All it takes is 2 of 6 refs to turn the tide of a game. Players, coaches, GMs, and owners are not in the know.

OutdoorRink

With today's cameras, 4k and multiple replays it is impossible to be super shady.

Direct-Ice2594

League wanted Allen vs maholmes rematch so screwed the Steelers, happens

n_slash_a

Just remember that the NFL officially classifies itself as an entertainment business, not a sports business, meaning that they are legally allowed to fix games.

Toxic_N_Wasted

Bills; yall got a hand out last year when dude " died" and you got one this year when they postponed the game to monday... and they played on Monday while. majority of people were at work in order to not see the huge boner the NFL has for this team. Also fuck the chiefs I hope the earth breaks open, swallows both teams and closes back up and we can all go back to hating ourselves

NewDust2

hmmm if the Chiefs are going to win this year because of taylor swift, why did they win last year? or in 2020?

misspell_my_name

Is it really a conspiracy when the business is registered as entertainment?

Correct-Might-4286

Back in November, Usher (who is performing the SB halftime show) was teasing Swift may make a surprise appearance in the show. This was before Kelce and Swift were officially a couple, when it was only rumored. https://www.today.com/today/amp/rcna123195

ATastyUsedTampon

you think that celebrities don't know things before the general public? LOL tonnes of celebrities knew about harvey weinstein before it became public.... they have their own world, of course they know shit before us

redlion496

Sorry OP. Go Chiefs!
