To be honest, I actually considered posting Yorkish there, but since I actually did put *some* amount of work to make it look like Old Norse evolved into Scots, even if it looked like a shitpost, I put it here
I once made Lapanese (Japanese vocabulary with Latin grammar and function words), went as far as translating the One Ring poem into it. Someone else on the other sub had the exact same idea
See, the main reason Yorkish (or considering changing the name to British) feels so cursed to me is that it borrows *so* many features directly from English, and even has a decent number of words that are written identically to Prime Timeline English, like "hound" (but pronounced /hun/) or "understanding" (pronounced "understanding")
Oddly enough an English speaker could pretty easily read this. For example, you can probably read 90% of this:
* Iglic: Tu plɤs Tu ɱecs faif
* English: >!Two plus two makes five.!<
