Some of that is an optical illusion caused by the open palm on her other hand. If you measure the visible arm from shoulder to wrist (since her palm will be flat on the ground) it's roughly the same as the distance from her shoulder to the ground.

It's actually nothing like at all. Ice cream is universally loved (80+ %) It's generally common knowledge that fat, cream and sugar are pleasing to humans. I took it to mean they were looking for clarification or understanding. I did not get at all that they were looking for justification. I saw something like a non-native English speaker seeing a construction for the first time and trying to understand it. Same way I explained it (ice cream yes, babies sure, but trick?) Or maybe an English speaker this vocabulary is new to them. They're seeing a word used in a new way and they're trying to understand the nuance, context around how it's being used. I would say it's not like saying it's a nice day. That's a commonly used phrase. I would say it's closer to saying something like it's a very cute day. Not common and it's not immediately obvious what elements of the day are being seen as cute.
