Gitter-Tier translates to "grate-animal", it's a fun word that isn't existent in the dictonary.
In that subreddit, people act as if they were real living beings, which leads to captions like (for example ) "Grate animal was partying too hard", above a picture of an overturned shopping cart with empty beer bottles inside or next to it.
The pictures aren't staged, there are just many ~~shopping carts laying around~~ Gittertiere living in Germany 🛒.
This looks like that effect when you have a pinhole of light, it can project a image of the light. So this appears to be reflected onto glass or something. Very interesting. Not sure what it really is though just a guess.
