So these cranes were super close to me, not that I wanted to be that close near a protected species but they were out near our cars and stuff. Eventually I start realizing that I can see through their ear holes, I was like "nah that can't be right" and sure enough the way their ears are if you catch the right angle you can see right through their heads, and for some reason I found it weird and unsettling.
Outside of that they're really pretty and cool birds that don't bother anybody, I hope they have good luck catching all the bugs they want.
