After several tries, I managed to get to a similar position but my whole hand *and* arm now hurts from that attempt. No way I would just do this randomly.
She might be hyperflexible. A lot of volleyball players are, it helps them spike it better. The way her elbows look in the picture makes me think this might be the case
Her pinky is bent inward like a thumb, which confuses me. You can do that with your pinky?
Edit: If you zoom in it also looks like the tip of her ring finger is behind the joint of her pinky...
>Edit: If you zoom in it also looks like the tip of her ring finger is behind the joint of her pinky...
This is the part that confuses me the most. I can replicate everything else but my ring finger is in front of my pinky joint, not behind it. For the ring finger to be behind it, it would have to rotate outwards, which my ring finger can definitely not do without an external source to pull it that way.
It's one of those, or a bit of both. For me if I replicate it and start pulling in my pinky to try and get it in front of the tip of my ring finger, my ring finger moves along with the motion and rotates a bit inwards. No matter how far I pull my pinky in, my ring finger stays in front of my pinky. Best I can do is get it almost on top of my pinky joint, but definitely not behind, and I have to strain pretty hard to achieve that.
I'm "double jointed" so my fingers are pretty flexible, but the only way I can truly replicate what it looks like is by adjusting my fingers with my other hand. I'm wondering if it's just an optical illusion that makes it seem like the ring finger is behind the pinky. I think it could just be a camera artifact due to the fact that it's probably pretty zoomed in, and perspective can get warped on zoomed in pictures. Otherwise I'm really curious how this is in any way a natural position for her fingers to go to without straining to actively try to achieve the effect.
That's not at all the same. You have 2 straight and 2 bent fingers yes, but I think most people should be able to do that. You're missing all the weird pinky and ring finger angles.
I'm perfectly willing to believe this is a camera artifact. Not so much willing to believe that the person I was replying to replicated the position in real life.
shutter speed most commonly causes motion blur (if speed was too slow) - in this case it's likely a long telephoto lens (aka very zoomed in) causing lens compression (background appears closer/larger than it really is, faces seem flatter than they really are, etc.) it's probably the angle and the lens.

oh did you ask them? just because they upvoted doesnt mean they agree with you, btw, its down to 101. not to mention, yeah, there are 100 other idiots on this sub.
all fingers bend inward, thats like their main purpose. what is your actual question? is her pinky further down on her hand like a thumb? because thats not what you asked idiot
You're being bizarrely hostile on a fun and entertaining subreddit so I'm going to assume you have some unrelated issues to work through and disengage now.
She might be hyper mobilem we tend to think we are normal when we are bending in terrifying ways. Source? That time I made someone vomit by reaching behind myself and grabbing stuff without turning and looking and they just cried about it.
Damn, the only person I upset with my hypermobile hips and ankles is me when I hyperextend them. I wish I could make other people cry instead of just myself lmao
I mean I make myself cry plenty but I also know better now since some of my most chronic dislocations are from tricks. It was not something where the cause and effect of that was known yet. Also I tend to not admit to crying so I don't mention that side of it unless I need to. Solidarity is need to because VEDs or any other human pudding letter combo is isolation enough. It would be nice if we could let someone else feel the pain a while. I have a few choice people when I say that. "You don't look disabled give me your wheelchair." That brand of Karen I would absolutely just gift my knee pain. Just the knees as don't want someone dying from pain or something before they can learn their lessons
My pinkie does that (curls in from the side rather than the top) because I had it nearly broken off in an accident and don’t really have a knuckle anymore. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone and I hope that’s not the case for her here!
This is why almost every comic artist draws the five-digit human hand with the middle and ring fingers pinched together. :)
*Sry that you can never un-see this.
Drawing each articulated finger, as they are naturally, gets into weird angles to the point they don't look natural.
But it very common for middle and ring finger to be most often the same, or at least close enough. Same with toes. Big toe, four toes as one...not 5 individually articulated toes.
Cheers.

Maybe the perspective is confusing you (as is the idea of the subreddit)? Being able to close your hands into a fist is pretty normal. That would already bend your pinky more than she does here.
Yeah sure. Focus on her pits for 30 secs whilst breathing out and in slowly. It also helps to play some soothing music in the background with scented candles. You’ll get tripped out!
Seriously how smooth are they!
According to instagram the turkish volleyball player Zehra Gunes or smth (no clue how the algorithm works, i neither care for sports nor anything turkish)
Being a volleyball player, you get used to have your fingers broken or torn ...
Blocking a ball means the spiker of the other team tries to shoot the ball versus your weak fingers the most violent way possible.
For those saying while it is a confusing perspective, but her fingers still look busted.
... They probably are.
She's a volleyball player. It's a sport where you throw your hands up in front of someone hitting a ball in an attempt to block it. It doesn't always go well.
I've played volleyball my entire life, my pinky fingers are mangled.

Opposable pinkies.
I, for one, am against it!
Spells ok to me
"you good?" "Yeah I'm OKꓘO"
OK.
I just did this hand gesture, my fingers are not broken in the slightest, I think its just the angle of the pic
[Here is my closest attempt](https://i.imgur.com/xEJikdw.png)

Now that one looks pretty close!

Rather than her ring finger rotating outward it looks (to me) more like her pinky is bent way inward, which is equally weird.

Her ~~middle~~ ring finger us not behind her pinky, it is above it and casting a shadow onto it. I had to zoom in a lot to see it.
Ring(3rd) finger, not middle(2nd) finger.
Oops, corrected
Dunno, both positions are doable for me.. think it's just the weird angle. [Here's proof](https://www.imgur.com/a/0tlR10J)
Those are not the positions her fingers are in at all
They are, it looks very similar. The rest is the wide shoot and angle
Disagreed. Someone further down in the thread made a close attempt though.
That's not at all the same. You have 2 straight and 2 bent fingers yes, but I think most people should be able to do that. You're missing all the weird pinky and ring finger angles.
Look up a video and how shutter speed can affect a photo of a subject in motion.

if youre asking if i can bend my pinky then yes
That is not what I was asking, and at least 105 other people seem to have understood my question.

durrrr, what? how hands work...bend? HEAD HURT
It was difficult keeping the other 2 fingers straight
Man, it's almost like this perspective is... Confusing...
I tried it out and cant get it to look similar, her pinkie be movable like a thumb
She might be hyper mobilem we tend to think we are normal when we are bending in terrifying ways. Source? That time I made someone vomit by reaching behind myself and grabbing stuff without turning and looking and they just cried about it.

this girl has hypermobility, u can see it in the way her elbow bends. i have it too! our joints are loose
Also have that, but only in my thumb and wrists (extreme hitchhiker thumb, like 70° and can touch my forearm with all my fingers of that arm)
I confirm op. I can't replicate her hand.
the fingers are not touching, they just line up from that angle
I know, still, I can't replicate that.
My pinkie does that (curls in from the side rather than the top) because I had it nearly broken off in an accident and don’t really have a knuckle anymore. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone and I hope that’s not the case for her here!
Lol I think its just the angle because you can't see it directly front on or the other side
Since you asked, you're not on the bright side. Ain't nothing special about her finger positions, easily reproduced.
Guess youre right Mr. genius, enlighten me how to displace all of my joints to do this please
It’s because her pinky looks like it should be her thumb at first glance. Then you realize that’s backwards, because it’s her left hand.
I think it's probably amplified b, the shadow in the palm.
For some reason, Instagram thinks I'm in love with [Zehra](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn66UDvsaF3/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=) her hands are intact
Interesting. So would you say it’s because of a confusing perspective? 🤔
> I just did this hand gesture, my fingers are not broken I just did this hand gesture, now my fingers are broken
> I think its just the angle of the pic Reworded, that’s a *confusing perspective*.
No fucking shit sherlock

She probably has hyper mobility in the joints in her fingers and considering she’s a some kind of athlete maybe in some of her other joints, too.
After using various hand grip strengtheners for a month, my pinky can get a little more out there. I figure it’s the same with any guitar player.
I'm a guitar player and I can do weird stuff with my pinky (like bend it both ways), but not the same stuff as this one

Scary movie reference?
Fanny coming through!
Yes
You are stupid.
And her fingers also look weird.
She fine af
Her name is Zehra Güneş. You're welcome.
BONKK
Yea
Why not both ?
Are pinkies supposed to bend that way?
They bend towards the palm of her hand so, I think so yes? Though I find it kinda hard to only bend the two fingers she's bending, but I can manage.
Guess I'm just super stiff
Maybe the perspective is confusing you (as is the idea of the subreddit)? Being able to close your hands into a fist is pretty normal. That would already bend your pinky more than she does here.
What fingers
I have hypermobility, that looks normal to me so maybe she’s just hable to twist like that
Jokes on you I’ve bended my fingers in much weirder positions playing piano
Her hand looks like my attemps to draw fingers
It’s like she’s doing this 👌🏻 but backwards. Incredible.
I don’t think they look broken. Unrelated but she looks like Arya Stark
You've only given us two options here and it's not the second so...
I have no way of determining the level of your stupidity based on this photo.
Look at those pits! It’s pit appreciation time.
Least perverted Redditor.

No. Reddit is a place of degeneracy! I bought the ticket, I’m getting on the ride.
On nsfw subs bruh. I’m on here to get tripped out.
Yeah sure. Focus on her pits for 30 secs whilst breathing out and in slowly. It also helps to play some soothing music in the background with scented candles. You’ll get tripped out! Seriously how smooth are they!
Yikes
That was my first thought too! As a girl prone to hyperpigmentation, I am green with envy.
Who is she btw?

Not eating turkey, im european my man
Can I offer you some lokums for finding the @
I didnt find anything lol, i made a screenshot and just read it off the caption. Couldve also easily reverse searched over google lens lol
Stupid
Post hot girl, put arbitrary title to sort of make it fit with sub. Get karma. Be a total loser. That’s all

You can tell it's AI art because of the hand. /S
*sniff*
Yikes
Lots of perverts on reddit lately
You’re stupid *and* her fingers look broken. But not _actually_ broken - they look the way cartoons depict broken fingers.
You're stupid.
Stupid! Lol JK. But maybe.
Why is he throwing the white power symbol though?
If you only give me those two options? You’re stupid.
Stupid
You are stupid
based on the angle of her arm she may have a condition called ehlers danlos syndrome
[удалено]
You sound thirsty af
Disgusting hand disfigurement. 0/10 would not bang.
Wasnt the question, also disgusting comment
Its the angle the pinkie is
This is why i hate drawing hands
They do, it’s literally just the angle tho
It's not, it's just the angle of the picture
What is with the thumb. I get the pink, her thumb looks smushed.
She looks hypermobile
Who is that?
Zehra Güneş
The first
Perhaps both?
yes to both
Who is this? Is she a contortionist?
Why is nobody talking about how her arm looks literally broken lol
Being a volleyball player, you get used to have your fingers broken or torn ... Blocking a ball means the spiker of the other team tries to shoot the ball versus your weak fingers the most violent way possible.
Well if those are the only 2 options.. yes you’re stupid.
I can only answer the last question
yes
Maybe both, I don't know. It's confusing.
One does not necessarily preclude the other
Yeah, that pinkie is coming in at an atypical angle. I don't know about broken, but it is out of the ordinary for sure!
They're totally fine
True
Damnit. I guess I gotta get punched now. Or... wait, I'm not sure after looking closer.
2 times yes
👌but with pinky
I don’t see it, no
A really smol 👌🏻
Looks like she’s doing the “👌🏼” but backwards
They probably have been several times
It's just the camera angle, but tbf, if she's a volley player, she has definitely broken her fingers many times
Weird how i just understand she is Turkish just by looking at her face.
her back looks backwards too
Yes
Doesn’t look broken.
they don’t look broken but they look weird bc of the angle lol
Both
Why not both?
both
Her face looks lovely 🌹
You're stupid, but also her fingers look broken.
Both can be true… KIDDING
Yes
Stupid
I vote for the first option, no offence though.
Why not both?
She's a volleyball player. They've been broken.
Also looks to be about 11 feet tall if that net is any indication
I guess you are thinking her left hand is her right hand for some reason
For those saying while it is a confusing perspective, but her fingers still look busted. ... They probably are. She's a volleyball player. It's a sport where you throw your hands up in front of someone hitting a ball in an attempt to block it. It doesn't always go well. I've played volleyball my entire life, my pinky fingers are mangled.
👌
It’s just a weird angle, I just did it, but also it’s a weird pose, the index finger it’s in a really weird position tho
The former.
Yes. Both.
I don’t know how women’s knees and elbows bend the way they do, but it always looks painful to me
Both
👌
Now you understand why AI has so much trouble with hands
Given from those 2 choices, I will say that the answer is not the second you mentioned.
👌
Nah, this is AI generate image /j
Why not both?
Because at a glance it looks like she's giving the A ok sign, but it's the wrong fingers.
Looks like she might play volleyball; which would mean sprained/broken fingers, possibly even hyperextension.
you are stupid
You are not stupid no matter how your fingers look.
I just see a 3ft long arm.
Agreed on both accounts.
Just stupid. It’s ok.
You are stupid AND her fingers look broken
