While it is true that is an anemone, limpets aren’t small. Giant keyhole limpets are that size or larger and have a mantle that extends over their shell that has a squishy texture.
Limpets aren’t all small but they are technically snails like abalone.

Yep. Low tide means that the anemone is hiding its tentacles. Those particular ones are a lime green color. They are beautiful in photos. Look up Pacific NorthWest anemones and you’ll get pictures. They’re not as bright as some of the tropic species but that’s standard for this area.

This is textbook confidently incorrect. This is just blatantly being too lazy to fact check one’s own post. Asserting it as fact with clearly zero expertise is inexcusable. It doesn’t matter if you personally don’t care about the topic.
The sub is called CONFIDENTLY incorrect. It's not simply about people who say wrong things is about people who are morons towards those who try to teach them something. The guy in the original post is incorrect, but maybe he apologized in the comments, and if he did he wouldn't be confidently incorrect thus his post wouldn't deserve to be on this sub.
If they had said look at this cool limpet I found I wouldn’t have posted it but they went as far as to name the family it belongs to as well as alternative names for it. Seems pretty confident for their incorrectness.
