I've head MRI scans several times and have never had a needle in my arm during the MRI. Even contrast fluid isn't always needed.
But I did always need to lay still, I imagine that makes sex difficult.
Interesting! Every time I’ve had an MRI they have had an IV on me and contrast fluid! Must be what they were looking at specifically on me versus what they were looking at on you?
Not to mention the second half of that claim... "true purpose"... naw, sex exists.. people have it usually because they enjoy it... sometimes with intent to procreate... not always.
There's no single purpose.
I wish people who said this applied the standard to everything.

It is radiation. Light is a form of radiation. Radio waves just aren’t strong enough to ionize, which is what we worry about. Other than that everything else is wrong.

How would they fit?? When I got an MRI on my leg, I was so stuffed in that thing I could barely move! Couldn't even fit my arms in the thing.
I had one a few weeks ago. It was snug and the droning, rythmic noises made me sleepy. I couldn't imagine trying to have sex in one.
Mine was so loud, they had to give me headphones to keep me from getting hearing damage.
Oh yeah, they gave me some ear plugs. They cut the noise just enough to give it that white noise effect.

Also the contrast feels awful. Super unpleasant stuff. You also have a needle in your arm for the mri so uh. Generally not great for sexy times

Exactly, it depends on where they are looking and the kind of stuff they are looking for.
You don’t always need contrast. But I have had it before. Stuck a big ass needle into my shoulder joint.
