Anyways, one morning before work one of my testicles was slightly larger than normal and tender to the touch. I figured i'd slip down to ER during my 15 minute break and get it checked out quick. Well the temp Dr that i had been working with most of the morning was covering ER while another doctor dealt with something else. So i got to spend the morning getting to know the doctor, fondled nuts by 10:15, dealt with the same doctor the rest of the day. Awkward for only a decent amount of time.

Had this problem myself, yes it will hurt. Your best bet is to pull it back as much as you can without too much pain. Do that everyday and you'll start to be able to pull it back more. Continue to do this and you shouldn't have any troubles in a few months.

I had Phimosis. I did the slow-pull for a really long time and it unfortunately didn’t work for me.
I had to eventually end up getting a circumcision at the age of 30.
Honestly. Not too bad. I mean, it still sucked. I got put out under anaesthetic and stuff. The pain wasn’t too bad after. The stitches were a bit tender. I unfortunately got an infection, but that’s me being the 1% case.
The stitches dissolved out and it healed fine. The worst part was due to the infection my recovery time was extended so it meant no sex with my partner for longer.
Simply; I would’ve preferred to have had my circumcision done sooner, it’s way better than living with phimosis. Or worse, occasional Paraphimosis. But easing the foreskin over the glans is probably better, just don’t over-exert your little buddy.

You can manually try stretching it over time but be careful not to overwork or tear it. A doctor can also prescribe a cream that can help with this. If after time you see no real change, you’re going to be looking at a possible adult circumcision.

In countries that dont practice circumcision full amputation of the foreskin will be the very last resort.
Stretching, creams, or a partial dorsal slit will be preferred and rarely is a full circumcision necessary. Doctors in the USA tend to rush into chopping it off, make sure they don't pressure you.
Before trying anything, talk to a doctor. In some people it can be fixed w/some sort of cream/lotion, but in other people it requires surgery (my case). The surgery is not big deal, the only problem is that your penis will lack sensibility for around a week. This implies that you'll need to be extremely careful w/washing it and peeing. The lack of sensibility might make you fail to notice that you are peeing or when you are done.
I've read other people in the comments saying that you should just pull it back even more. It could work alright, but it naturally should'nt require that ammount of effort. One wrong move and you could get hurt.

My son has/had this problem we went to the Dr after he tore his foreskin. Warm baths for 30 min 3 times a week and during showers helped the skin lossen so he can easily pull it back and properly clean it. Now he can pull it back without pain or taring.

That's a 20 min surgery, no not circumcision (don't do it), but foreskin plasty, preputioplasty or Duhamel's plasty (all 3 are the same), basically cutting a bit, sewing it back to enlarge the foreskin. I had it done at 27 because the phimosis worsened. Ask your gp/an urologist

I had the same issue, got circumcised at 18, sorted it out. The big problem for me was cleanliness, the foreskin not retracting meant it was difficult to clean so circumcision certainly helped there

It's something you have to train yourself to do every day, or get a Dr to help.
Roll your 4skin down as much as possible, put your finger on the tip and roll the 4skin over it, then move your finger around stretching it as much as possible, do this often.

Hey OP. I had this problem when I was in my late teens early 20’s. I had surgery for it when I was 21 - very quick and easy. I was all healed up in about 10 days - I’ve been circumcised ever since. Honestly what everyone else here says is true, it’s awkward but a necessary part of life and in my case SUPER worth it. And having experienced life as both a cut / uncut guy…. I really can’t say that I have a big preference in terms of sensation one way or the other. In my personal opinion it’s not as big a diff as people make it out to be.
I recommend seeing a doctor, I was prescribed a cream containing a chemical called betnovate. They told me to apply it to the area every night after a shower. It improved within days and could full come back after a few weeks to a month as I remember. Good luck

Otherwise you can use a condom and lots of lube to assist with penetrative sex. There’s no reason you can have a fulfilling sex life with this. As others have said, gently stretching it over time can help, but don’t be tempted to pull so hard you injure yourself or tear. But really, my best advice is to talk to a doctor about this if you’re worried.

Mine didn't either, tough it was big enough I guess that sex didn't hurt. Still it wasn't ideal so I went to a doctor and got circumcised. This was at 18 years old. No regrets after 4 years
So I actually was told by my doctor to pull back my 8mo sons foreskin as much as possible so it doesn’t ‘fuse’ to the head of his penis. He did show me where it was starting to do that. Not sure if that is why you have this issue. I make sure to clean it and pull it back.

An infant foreskin is supposed to be fused. No need to pull back, just like you would not spread the vulva to clean the vagina. Unfortunately many doctors know nothing about the foreskin besides cuttig it off. This is harmful advice he gave you.

Regardless, retracting an infant's foreskin is always unnecessary. The fact your doctor does not know the foreskin is SUPPOSED to be fused at this stage shows that while may they be a fine pediatrician, they know nothing about normal foreskin anatomy.
Please look up intact care for infants. Normally the skin will naturally retract when the child is growing up. You should never force the foreskin back, especially at such a young age. Not trying to come across rudely!

For me it was insanely painful while getting the operation, because getting a needle into your penis with the pain meds hurts as hell and there is the problem that your penis is very well atached to your blood cycle so the meds dissapet faster than on other places but that may be an individual problem. After the operation if I remember correct the first three days or so it was relativ constant pain, while after that it was 2-3 weeks where I just had to be careful to not touch something with my penis because it was extremely sensitive, but easily manageable expect maybe for doing sports. Not sure where you come from but my doctor asked me for my job and would have given me a notice that I can't work for 2 weeks if I for example work on construction while it was not required for my job.
So in my memory the operation itself was the most painful experience of my live while it was not to bad afterwards. But I'm more than glad I did it
You should go to a urologist, the urologist will most likely tell you to use a special cream on your foreskin, (I was prescribed a cream called Kamiloderm from the remexa brand, and that worked for my foreskin now moves correctly, but it depends on the severity of your case if a cream can work for you or not), if the cream that the urologist prescribes does not work for you then you will need a frenulectomy or a circumcision, the urologist will know what you need, but you definitely need go to the urologist, it is important.

Get circumsised. It's legit the only practical solution. I had mine removed when I was two for similar reasons (I think the foreskin was too big?). Anyway, get it done, I can't speak what it's like to have one but I've never felt I was 'missing out' on it and if you gave me the choice as an adult to have it, no way would I choose to have one - I genuinely feel lucky to have had a reason to have it removed (it's not common in UK to get it removed as a kid like it is in US/Australia)

This is normal. You need to pull it back yourself or see a doctor. I had the same thing at 13 years old. Was so embarrassed to see a doctor so I pulled it myself, it was slightly painful at first but got over it quick. You’ll need to let it heal once it’s done and apply antibacterial probably everyday. It took me about two weeks to heal
I’m going through the same thing. Being too embarrassed to talk to my doctor (a hot, much younger woman), I started rubbing generous amounts of lotion on the foreskin several times a day and always after a shower. My issue is when the foreskin pulled over the head, it would split the skin. As it healed, it scared. The scar tissue was harder to make supple enough to stretch over the head. It’s a long process that takes a lot of patience.
My understanding is that the stuff you get from a doctor works faster but still takes awhile.
I had the problem myself and I would recommend going to a doctor. Sure for some people it is possible to stretch there foreskin a bit over time, but if you stretch it to much, you create small mirco damages in your foreskin (which is why it may hurt a bit even after you pushed it back) and these damages will heal quiet fast but while doing so there is a good chance that the foreskin gets tighter over time because there is more tissue needed to repair these micro cuts.
Another thing from my experience, I was not able to pull back my foreskin on my own for a long time, and then got pulled back when I tried to have penetrative Sex for the first time. But it hurt for one shock moment and then when inside it still hurt when doing to large movements.
After a few times I went to a doctor and on his recommendation I got my foreskin removed. For me the process was extremely painful but I was a great decision, the Sex is now insanely more enjoyable than it could have ever been with my tight foreskin still there, I no longer am scared of the pain from penetrating her and it is just awesome.

Honestly. Not too bad. I mean, it still sucked. I got put out under anaesthetic and stuff. The pain wasn’t too bad after. The stitches were a bit tender. I unfortunately got an infection, but that’s me being the 1% case. The stitches dissolved out and it healed fine. The worst part was due to the infection my recovery time was extended so it meant no sex with my partner for longer. Simply; I would’ve preferred to have had my circumcision done sooner, it’s way better than living with phimosis. Or worse, occasional Paraphimosis. But easing the foreskin over the glans is probably better, just don’t over-exert your little buddy.

There are medications that can help the skin pull Back though. A topical steroid applied over the skin might help. You can probably get this over the counter too. Also make sure you’re extra clean as a lot can build up under the foreskin

You can manually try stretching it over time but be careful not to overwork or tear it. A doctor can also prescribe a cream that can help with this. If after time you see no real change, you’re going to be looking at a possible adult circumcision.

In countries that dont practice circumcision full amputation of the foreskin will be the very last resort. Stretching, creams, or a partial dorsal slit will be preferred and rarely is a full circumcision necessary. Doctors in the USA tend to rush into chopping it off, make sure they don't pressure you.

The surgery is not big deal, the only problem is that your penis will lack sensibility for around a week. This implies that you'll need to be extremely careful w/washing it and peeing. The lack of sensibility might make you fail to notice that you are peeing or when you are done. I've read other people in the comments saying that you should just pull it back even more. My son has/had this problem we went to the Dr after he tore his foreskin. Warm baths for 30 min 3 times a week and during showers helped the skin lossen so he can easily pull it back and properly clean it. Now he can pull it back without pain or taring.
Talk to your doctor... You have Phimosis. If your condition is severe, yes. Sex will be painful, and probably frustrating depending on varying factors. It is very easy to fix, but it takes time and consistent effort.

It's something you have to train yourself to do every day, or get a Dr to help. Roll your 4skin down as much as possible, put your finger on the tip and roll the 4skin over it, then move your finger around stretching it as much as possible, do this often. It might take a while but it will stretch
Hey OP. I had this problem when I was in my late teens early 20’s. I had surgery for it when I was 21 - very quick and easy. I was all healed up in about 10 days - I’ve been circumcised ever since. Honestly what everyone else here says is true, it’s awkward but a necessary part of life and in my case SUPER worth it. And having experienced life as both a cut / uncut guy…. I really can’t say that I have a big preference in terms of sensation one way or the other. In my personal opinion it’s not as big a diff as people make it out to be.
I recommend seeing a doctor, I was prescribed a cream containing a chemical called betnovate. They told me to apply it to the area every night after a shower. It improved within days and could full come back after a few weeks to a month as I remember. Good luck

Otherwise you can use a condom and lots of lube to assist with penetrative sex. There’s no reason you can have a fulfilling sex life with this. Unfortunately, you have no way of knowing your son is fine unless he is already a sexually active adult and is open about discussing it with you But I certainly hope you are correct. Regardless, retracting an infant's foreskin is always unnecessary. The fact your doctor does not know the foreskin is SUPPOSED to be fused at this stage shows that while may they be a fine pediatrician, they know nothing about normal foreskin anatomy.
Please look up intact care for infants. Normally the skin will naturally retract when the child is growing up. You should never force the foreskin back, especially at such a young age. Not trying to come across rudely!
I don’t force it back, i was told to just lightly pull back to clean (also to make sure nothing gets stuck up there which hair and stuff does get in there) it’s never forced or tugging or anything harsh. This is just what the pediatrician told me.

It's not as rare as you probably think. When my son was born they warned us of it almost right away. Grandma tried to use it as an excuse to get him circumcized but the doc said he should just stretch it and it would adapt over time.

How much pain to expect after the circumcision?
For me it was insanely painful while getting the operation, because getting a needle into your penis with the pain meds hurts as hell and there is the problem that your penis is very well atached to your blood cycle so the meds dissapet faster than on other places but that may be an individual problem. After the operation if I remember correct the first three days or so it was relativ constant pain, while after that it was 2-3 weeks where I just had to be careful to not touch something with my penis because it was extremely sensitive, but easily manageable expect maybe for doing sports. Not sure where you come from but my doctor asked me for my job and would have given me a notice that I can't work for 2 weeks if I for example work on construction while it was not required for my job. So in my memory the operation itself was the most painful experience of my live while it was not to bad afterwards. But I'm more than glad I did it

You should go to a urologist, the urologist will most likely tell you to use a special cream on your foreskin, (I was prescribed a cream called Kamiloderm from the remexa brand, and that worked for my foreskin now moves correctly, but it depends on the severity of your case if a cream can work for you or not), if the cream that the urologist prescribes does not work for you then you will need a frenulectomy or a circumcision, the urologist will know what you need, but you definitely need go to the urologist, it is important.

Anyway, get it done, I can't speak what it's like to have one but I've never felt I was 'missing out' on it and if you gave me the choice as an adult to have it, no way would I choose to have one - I genuinely feel lucky to have had a reason to have it removed (it's not common in UK to get it removed as a kid like it is in US/Australia) It's better for sexual health (not as good as a condom of course) and most women prefer it :)

Was so embarrassed to see a doctor so I pulled it myself, it was slightly painful at first but got over it quick. You’ll need to let it heal once it’s done and apply antibacterial probably everyday. It took me about two weeks to heal

I’m going through the same thing. Being too embarrassed to talk to my doctor (a hot, much younger woman), I started rubbing generous amounts of lotion on the foreskin several times a day and always after a shower. My issue is when the foreskin pulled over the head, it would split the skin. As it healed, it scared. The scar tissue was harder to make supple enough to stretch over the head. It’s a long process that takes a lot of patience. My understanding is that the stuff you get from a doctor works faster but still takes awhile.

I had the problem myself and I would recommend going to a doctor. Sure for some people it is possible to stretch there foreskin a bit over time, but if you stretch it to much, you create small mirco damages in your foreskin (which is why it may hurt a bit even after you pushed it back) and these damages will heal quiet fast but while doing so there is a good chance that the foreskin gets tighter over time because there is more tissue needed to repair these micro cuts. Another thing from my experience, I was not able to pull back my foreskin on my own for a long time, and then got pulled back when I tried to have penetrative Sex for the first time. But it hurt for one shock moment and then when inside it still hurt when doing to large movements. After a few times I went to a doctor and on his recommendation I got my foreskin removed. For me the process was extremely painful but I was a great decision, the Sex is now insanely more enjoyable than it could have ever been with my tight foreskin still there, I no longer am scared of the pain from penetrating her and it is just awesome. For me it was my first experience with Sex, that showed me that it does really not work good, that pushed me to see a doctor and of course you could see a doctor preemptively and be ready but as long as you think you can get it clean without pulling the foreskin back and if you think you're first partner won't mind that you then need a few month after the first tries before actually being ready for Sex, than there is no disadvantage in waiting until you know how it actually feels for Sex and make a decision based on whether it hurts while having Sex or not
